  1. As promised, here are instructions in LDD. Download them here! If you want to use RC motors and the RC unit, you can also DOWNLOAD them here. There are no suspension arms, and the rear drive axle has to be put together. Other than that no problems. Enjoy!

  4. You just need to work arround it...just lay some link near the tooth gear and use hinge tool to loop them arround.

  6. Here is an update. I tried to make the body colorfull, because it really expresses the power of this machine. Now that i tried it outside, i'm quite amazed how good it goes. The wide tyres provide excelent floatation on mud (too bad that cant be said for my shoes) and provide extreme traction with very deep profile. The only gripe is its length, which sometimes leaves it stuck on a pile, but thats a sacrifice I had to make. After 2 hours of driving it on mud sand grass, water and even pulling a car the tyres look like mini ecosystems full of various lifeforms Here's a video of the truck. I think its the best lego offroader I ever built!
  7. I think the small truck has different grey colored bed. Also the backhoe has now stickers on the front and rear arm. The winch handle on the mini crane truck is now on the other side.

  9. So after building raptor I wanted to try the other type of a machine. Something massive with RC motors for power and no signs of a diet This is what I came up with: It is the longest 4x4 i ever build thanks to the bulky RC unit. I tried putting unit on top of motors, but that made less stable. The suspesnion uses self amde links out of suspension arms (recycled from the failed monster truck project). The front axle is simillar to raptor's but uses different portal hub assembly for green wheels. The rear axle doesnt use H frame, because the 8+stop axles wouldnt fit in there. To transfer power from motors to both axles, i used two different ways. The front axle is wuite far, so a simple u joint combination worked fine. The rear axle needed a lot tighter and stronger assembly, which would also allw some shrinking and extending action. For that i used lots of pulley wheels and 3/4 pins. Total gear ratio is 1:15 from 2 RC motors, and makes this machine unbelivably fast (capping 75cm/s). Compared to the raptor its faster, but due to the long chassis and small steering angle needs a lot of room to turn. It also eats batteryes like there is no tommorow. Comparing these two is quite difficult. Raptor uses easy to get parts and is very efficient, while this machine uses rare RC parts and wheels, puts components under greater stress, but climbs better. I think i will use raptor for longer endurance trials and this beast for shorter runs, or rope pulling. Which one do you like better, the slower more maneuverable and efficient raptor or this power hungry, not so maneuverable, but good climbing monster?   17. Problem the axles slip from wheels is also because the turntables have internal planetary gears in ratio of 1:3, so there is much less load on diff. On the other side this gives the axles much more free air to slide. I may dump the diff and replace it with a 12-36 tooth gear combo.
  18. Thats really great, the only gripe is the fenders having not enough curve.
  19. A really powerfull and meanecing grapple! I can already imagine picking up and squishing acrs with it
  20. I was thinking an S motor would be a good solution for steering, valve switching and functions like that which would stall normal motors. It would basically use two small coils, one at each side of the motor and the rotor would just sway 90 degrees either way. A spring would center it. I think it would be great and small!
  21. Not all my MOCs make it and this is how far I got it: The main problem is the 4L axles slide out of idfferential assembly. Other than being a bit heavy and hard on motors, there were no real issues, the suspesnion had A LOT of travel but all in all it felt too bloated. With soem mods it would make a good chassis for a supercar though!
