So i was feeling bored and ecided to build this mini backhoe to try build something that doesnt need PF's, and LA's to have fun with. I decided to use for wheels of same size and all wheel steering. All functions beside steering use worm gears, because they are very easy to impleent and versatile (not to mention they cant eb backdriven). In total the model uses 5 worm gears and the only function missing are the outriggers. The rear arm folds in an uncoventional way, but hey it works! Rear arm can also rotate And the front arm has enough movement to dump. Both arms can support the weight of the backhoe with no problem. The rear arm can also dig very deep. I will add isntructions in LDD as soon as they are done. Because its such a simple model which doesnt use rare specialised parts, it would make a nice staring model!

The crank (2853) doesnt allow an axle to go in deep enough, therebye with the combiantion of missing engine blocks makes it impossible to make the engine asemblies.

This is really spectacular! Can we get a speeded up video of a bigger model being assembled?

You must rotate gears, so they mesh (tooth gears must not touch).

Steering gear part (32069) wont connect to beams, but it will connect to bricks with holes.

Nice truck, and in same scales as trucks for HARD truck competition! Those tubes in engine are very rare, they really add to detail.

These 2 gears bug were discovered while buidling 8047. First one doesnt allow the 8 tooth gear to be placed near the connector. Second one doesnt allow the 24 tooth crown gear to be rotated in this setup:

Here's a model to test LDD 4.0. It came togther quite good, but there are some bugs, which forced me to trick LDD. I used 4L bars isntead of the bent tube. Model: 8047 Compact excavator Theme: technic Year relased: 2010 DOWNLOAD

Pin joiner with 4 rods 48723 is fixed, so the axle can got through it!

Cool the bar can now go through friction pin like it should!

Axle 5,5 and LA are fixed.
