    An ordinary ship it might be, but it certainly is a realistic one! Nice rigging. Looking forward to see it with reefed sails. Glad to see you are still actively building.

    Gosh! That's not just a ship, that's a behemoth! Very well done. Are you thinking of making sails as well? It would take some time, but I think it would definitely improve the silhouette.

    Oh that would be a dream come true! When I joined this forum I had always dreamt of being featured on classic-pirates.com, probably my favorite website when I was about 10 I have lost most of my photo's, I do have some but they are unedited. The closest that you could use would be this one, which you can download from flickr: Link: https://flic.kr/p/rXKqpG One thing to keep in mind is that this was made 6 years ago, and as I'm nearing 21 it does not really reflect what I would probably have made in the present.     I love the little jokes here and there. It has been a while since a lego stop motion has made me laugh out loud. Stunning graphics as well! Looks very convincing and -in style- as it were. The "Unsinkable II" has to be my favourite pun, though. Oh, and "Barrk, Barrkk".

    Hi all, Sorry to bump into this old topic, but for those interested I uploaded the film two years ago to Youtube. I had forgotten about this thread and I am not sure if I had already shared the brickfilm here (I am very inactive on this forum, I'm sad to say; there are so many beautiful ships and creations posted here regularly!). I was cleaning up my youtube channel and thought I'd share it with you all. So here it is, for those that haven't seen it yet! I was quite inexperienced when I made this, and I am not at all happy with how it's turned out, but for nostalgic reasons I decided to publish it anyway. Enjoy it for what it is; it was my first experience working with a green screen, and I thoroughly enjoyed the process. Kind regards and I hope you get to see me here more often! - Jisk

    Hi Eurobricks and swashbucklers. I haven't posted much of my own making in recent years, simply because well.. let's just say I'm a bit lazy. Sorry! Back in 2015-2016 when I was 15 -16 years old (I know, easy to remember) I started messing around a bit with a custom built ship and No. 6721 "Imperial Flagship" (which was one of the last second hand set I bought). It was also at that time I discovered the Aubrey-Maturin novels, and began devouring them in a way you don't expect from someone my age. I also found out a movie adaption was made, containing various elements from the novels. I watched it, and again, and again, and I became a bit obsessed with the story and historical accuracy. And I was (and still am) a lego fan. So 1+1 is 2, ey? I grabbed a green robe and tried recreating a scene! Thanks to a friend who helped me with final cut pro and my mother for sewing the sails, I am very glad I can present to you a movie I should've released three years ago! Here's something I had much fun working on, with vague images, laughable special effects and the occasional video thrown in. Please enjoy. I hope I inspire someone to make a perfect version of this.     Finally, it's finished! I remember that old video you posted. Did that lego ideas ever really got off? We need a Flying Dutchman set really.

    Oh how very delighted to see work from you again! I remember you back in the day making great mocs that were for its time outstanding (and still do look impressive). To see a built which is modern in a sense and very accurate to the real life counterpart from you, is a very nice surprise. Amazing how you managed to make such a convincing build out of a standard hull. Would be nice to see it with everything under the waterline.

    That would actually make for a good set to sell! I would buy it most definitely. I saw the Götheborg at the Amsterdam sail 2010, and this absolutely captures her likeness. Yes, this should be a set.

    Very nice smooth shape! Would almost beg you to make an actual 18th century ship out of it. Show us how you did that curvature on the vessel!

    I thought I'd lost you! I have fond memories as a kid watching your lovely star wars and indiana jones themed three part series in lego. I was wondering where did they go? I couldn't find your channel and videos anymore (they were at the top when you searched "Lego Pirates") but all of the sudden I remembered your name and got on this profile.

    Wow, your first MOC? It looks like a professional build. Very nice, well thought of. The rigging fits, the tops look great and the interiors are very smooth. I'm really surprised this is a first for you. Well done.

    Really wondering how it doesn't fall apart! A very impressive build, capturing a very nice fantasy feel. Straight out of Lord of the Rings or something of the sort.

    I hope one will forgive me from bringing this topic up again, but after some time of inactivity on the forums and returning once again I find myself greeted again by old veterans that were always such huge sources of inspiration for me. I am so very delighted to see you, Sebeus, giving us this beautiful cinematic masterpiece. Not only is the build of the fourth rate (?) absolutely astonishing (good god that stern) but the photography of the whole set is art in itself. The beautiful atmosphere, the tension, the smoke.. It all works! Now of coruse I'm going to whine about the British getting beaten here because.. Well.. They are the bes... Not going down that road Well done and I'm glad so many of you are still alive, like Admiral Bejaune, which I came to know about when I spend ages on Classic-Pirates.com. Kind regards, Edward

    Good god! Seeing the whole fleet together is absolutely pleasin' to the eye! Since I live relatively close to Antwerp, I would've loved to see this. Sadly, I didn't. Notify me when you do something like this again. Also lovely the tutorial frigate gets to see the light of day once again. Never thought I'd be reminded of its existence!

    Ah yes, a fine 17th century ship! Just hoist the Dutch colors and attack the English, I say. I really like how you rounded off the stern, and didn't use the big basic parts people commonly use. Looks great!

    Hello there! I am very fond of the Dutch shipwrights and did a big paper on the 17th century ship art. The Dutch shipwrights were truly magnificent. If you have any questions about certain parts of the ship, do ask, and I'm sure you already visited the Bataviawerf ;) Best of luck!

    Great scot! Blimey, this is amazing! I had seen something like this before, so I went on a search party and found your MOC pages profile, and I had it right. You are that awesome guy who makes these completely accurate ship-hulls out of lego. Your ships of the line are stunning. Chapeau, mate! I know this technical drawing myself, since I tried to recreate it with a 3D program, and I must congratulate you on this accuracy. I don't think there's a better model. The detail on the decks, the red under the gunports, the guns itself, as if somebody picked a few pixels and made an unsharp photograph of the ship itself. You're really good.

    I'm glad you're still around. I haven't been online since 2016 but I've been around since 2011 and more and more veterans don't show up anymore.

    Are you working on something new? Your ships of the line were beautiful.

      And thanks for the praise. New stuff... well, yes, plenty, in fact. But not in the Pirate Forum. I've found a new home among the Brethren of the Brick Seas. Still building ships - smaller ones up to frigate size so far - but some escalation is immanent :wink:

      Feel free to stop by, and have a look around - there's a lot to be discovered from a lot of amazing builders and story-tellers.

      With Phred and Sebeus there are two more veterans active, and maybe we'll get you, too :wink:

    Great scot, I remember me as a 11 year old boy looking amazed at your ships. The 'recent' pics in 2016 were quite a nice surprise and I'm happy Eurobricks veterans aren't that dead yet.
