Sawry The stern needs also a little decoration, forgot to say that. So good you're going to work on that. For nice stern pictures just search.

Welcome To Our New Pirates Regulator: Kolonialbeamter
Captain Edward replied to Capn Frank's topic in LEGO Pirates
Congrats! You deserved the post since you are a very skilled builder with loads of knowledge. I think you can tell us the difference between port and starboard, where the weatherdeck is and all masts are placed! -
Yea, I already got interior sets (Separate gundeck, cabin, etc). I was thinking of plastic like in some videos on youtube but I guess it would be difficult. Blue plasticine? Do you have any idea where to buy that? And is it some kinda clay or something else? This project will be completed around begin/end may, depends on how busy I am. Half way done, the pictures on this page are real footage

-UPDATE- Hey there maties! I did the most difficult part of the battling between the Acheron and the HMS Surprise, so that is 2:18 minutes in total! Now a more difficult part is coming because I have to do the scene when the Surprise gets shot and water leaks into the ship. Anyone have an idea? Wow! i did not know that technique was actually quite simple to explain, because your ships look marvelous! Once, when I get a job and all that, I'm going to make a ship using these techniques! I hope you keep these online for a while! Really interesting. I got now loads of inspiration. My favorite ship s are 3rd rate SotL's and Light Frigates (Like the HMS Surprise) So I might just like to remake the HMS Implacable, Renown or Surprise. Or maybe the Victory? Nah, I must start small Thank you, really thank you for this. But first, let me finish my remake of Master And Commander in Legos (movie) Regards, Captain Edward

Oeeh, Mister Townset, you're making me so exited for the final result! It's coming along nicely. I just loved your Pinnacle and her rigging so I'm expecting that the Matterhorn will be even better (I hope ) Hopefully you will do a tutorial on that because I really want to do something alike. The netting at the waste is a nice Idea, I like how you did that. Though you should note that the netting at the side of the weatherdeck and not on the outside, using my ship knowledge. I can be wrong anyways Also the bow is just beautiful. Really amazing. I'm so exited when I see her sailing to the horizon. I hope I once get the money to make something like this Regards, Captain Edward

-UPDATE- 2:10 done, progress is going amazingly fast. Sometimes animation takes a lot of time, and can be a bid shaky, but overall it looks cool (I think ) Got a little sneak peak for ya here: "Mister Boille.. Run up the colors!" by Captain Edward, on Flickr Feedback and comments always welcome, I really appreciate it Regards, Captain Edward

Cool and nice animation! I have the set myself and I'm really proud, because it's in such a good state..

What KolonialBeamter said, I'd change the modern windows and doors, but looking good already. I love the beach part, I hope you add a drunken skeleton with a nice bottle of rum leaning against a palm tree with a treasure map at his side. And some custom seagulls? Regards, Cpt. Edward

Looking good for a start, though the stern is maybe a little too big, but that's up to you!

Hey Phes, do you know why Classic-Pirates.com is closed? Or what it is going to be.. And is it still under your "command"?

Feedback always welcome, since this is going to be my first Green Screen Movie! Also, since I've been busy fitting the animation into the audio of M&C, I completely know the words they say out of my head.. -Regards, Captain Edward

What one if I may ask? I've got a lot of those.. Back to the topic! It has been a while since I've seen redcoat fortress. And it's marvelous, especially the PotC reference. I never really succeeded making a good pirate fort for my minifies.. Might just need to give it another try -Regards, Captain Edward

Hey Admiral, where've you been? I kinda miss your smart advices, especially now when I'm making a remake of a famous Battle scene of Master and Commander!
-
Nice, though, as you said: You can't really mention a ship type. I think that those sails and masts doesn't give the ship the almighty feeling it needs. Still the bow and stern are beautiful And give that old lady indeed a try, because I think she will look marvelous when full rigged and restored in her full glory. Like a real ship of the line! -Edward

Thanks! Really apreciate it you comment, it means a lot to me (I love your SotL's!! ) I thought exactly the same, till I got it explained by someone and it turned out to be pretty easy (I'm still learning though). The ship I used was a bid inspired by your "Zephyr", only made with the bigger sized hull (from 2010 pirate sets) BUT with old fashioned Lego Windows. Also this is the ship that plays the "Acheron", though it hasn't got 48 cannons Check the "Acheron" and another Green Screen test HERE: https://www.flickr.c...157649011284124 And also keep in mind I'm busy recreating the battle scene BELOW DECKS, so with all the cannons and stuff. So Stay tuned for more!

Hello fellow maties! Today, I'd like to show you one of my newest creations; A Green Screen Test. This test is just a test of course. What I'm going to do is to recreate a scene from Master And Commander, the Far Side of the World. Ships I already got, using a custom built french brig and the Imperial Flagship 6271 (From 1992). Now it's only the editing! A good friend of mine learned me how to green screen with Final Cut Pro. So here is the little test, hope you enjoy and stay tuned for updates! Tell me what you think! Regards, Captain Edward
