  1. Right on, Mitgardia gets its own regulator, I like that. One thing though, will we eventually get a new mod?
  2. I really have to say, the normal History forum currently being flooded by LOTR stuff and its really hard to keep up with anything that is not LOTR. It's not that I do not like the LOTR sets we were given (except for the price and the fleshies ) but I kinda fear that there is a split in the general History forum between the castle guys here and the LOTR guys there, not really the kind of way things were originally planned I suppose. In short: it's really kinda hard to venture out of the subforum if you're not interested in discussing LOTR
  3. Mitgardia is totally accepted too though!
  4. this is an epic caslte infernum, so many things to like and the look is perfectly Mitgardia, somehow a mix of soccerkid, SoT and Eccs. Good Work! Only thing I don't like are the fleshy heads, but that's a matter of taste I suppose
  5. The funny thing is that every time I run out of bricks I have to think way more about what I'm doing. That's when innovation and improving starts! For example, at the beginning of GoH I was aware of the snot method, but didn't think I would be able to use it. Running out of pieces actually made use snot more often and voila, I know really like playing around with it!
  6. there are currently no inter guild fights, but we do have skirmishes with free roaming sell swords and left over troops of the main enemy's more or less defeated troops. We're sort of in an intermediate situation right now, where we are trying to find out how to continue the story. But any contribution, even small ones, are totally cool!
  7. I gues I woulnd't be putting this into my medieval ship index
  8. Kerni, this is really great! How much bigger is it going to become and will you ever display it publicly so I can come by and see it for real?
  9. Hey Wedge, whereas you usually comment on quite a number of mocs, I haven't been able to do so for one of yours. So it's a cool thing you build something as nice as this! Keep on doing this because it looks really go. I'd even say that this moc qualifies you for the Guilds of Historica!
  10. It'd be even cooler if you stayed here!
  11. As I was saying mocs per person we first would have to check which guild has the most inactive builders by now and I'm pretty sure that it's Avalonia!
  12. Holliow lane is a mere direct translation I realize. Wikipedia speaks about sunken lanes I have to admit. They also talk about hollow ways, but in some cases its also called hollow lane, I just checked. so my mistake, thanks for pointing that out
  13. Actually there are a few hobbits in Historica, although they (skalldyr) haven't been seen in a while! However, truth is, Mitgardia is the best Beariest (edited by ZC). Nocturnus smells of rotten eggs, Kaliphlin is counting coppers and talking trash and Avalonians are even more stuck up then everybody else because they are the most awesomest ever (edited by ZC). So you see, lots of fun
  14. you guys rock! it's about time to show that we are the most productive guild when it comes down to mocs per person! Let others do the talking, we build!
  15. Quite interesting to see how forest roads in Nocturnus differ substantially from those in Mitgardia Awesome build Nemo, it was about time Nocturnus got back on track and this is definetely some really great stuff. Spooky
  16. there were two comments by me, not very offensive as they were accompanied by smilies ... all just part of the usual good humored trash talking that takes place here every now and then!
  17. Actually I had thought of this even before Z came up with his idea. But after all it's what mercinaries do once they take off on their own. It's just that I didn't have the time to put this into my ch IV entry and thus had to leave the story rather unfinished. As for Varlyrians turing bad, first and most of all they are traders and interested in making money. So when the Varlyrians heard that the war was over, they had to come up with something else to actually earn some riches they could take home ... I don't know how familiar you are with Germany's "Thirty Years War" (1618-1648) because in the later years of that conflict (protestants vs. catholics) it was all about mercinaries taking what they could get no matter to whom the had pledged alligience in the first place ... So protestant Swedes fought protestant Prussians and catholic Croatians fought catholic Bavarians and so on ...
  18. @Nightstalker: I thought of it the minute I held the piece in my hand, never used as such though. I'm glad it works out! @Gideon: that's what I hate about Wikipedia, you just keep on reading and reading ... whereas you should be doing something else. professional procrastination I call it @Infernum: Thanks man! You wouln't believe it, but a few years ago during a trip through Mexico I saw a man roaming the streets of St.Cristobal de las Casas wearing a t-shirt saying "Don't mess with Texas" Hence the slogan
  19. I was thinking excactly the same thing when the shields appeared yesterday!
  20. @legofin: I always see a quite a few good ideas in you mocs, but maybe it's time for you to slow down a bit and put more of your ideas into One really good moc instead of doing one moc per idea. I'm sure your skills will improve much faster that way! So take your time, no reason to hurry right now!
  21. Thanks guys, glad you like it. With this moc I tried to deliberately run out of vegetation pieces, but I failed I still got a handfull left over ... @DM: well you know, soemtimes when you start researching on wikipedia, you just go from article to article and somehow I stumbled across the article on hollow lanes. That's when my hand automatically started to put bricks together. Somehow my way of doing mocs! @sk; the build was almost done when yesterday DM requested for Mitgardian ale. So I changed the story and here we go ... @kai: they better should have! @garmadon: you're right, Steen doesn't smile often, I think I have to change that! @Mikkel: the mercinaries are there because Eric Grimmson brought them to Mitgardia, see my ch VI entry!
  22. fine, you guys fight and we'll survive ... (as we've always done) ... so keep on fighting!
  23. As I said in the Mitgardia thread: Other guilds talk, Mitgardia builds!
  24. Are you sure? I'm an English teacher, haha
  25. Nice one, gonna have to try this right away! There is an index for tree mocs somewhere on this board, maybe you sould add yours to it!
