  1. you don't need to hunt the yeti's in Mitgardia, two kegs of ale do the job too
  2. wow, very cool moc wedge, my personal favourite of yours so far! I really like the ruined look and all the foliage, it's good to see that you don't need that many bricks to come up with something really cool!
  3. it's been collecting dust lately, I was out on a bike trip with my family! But, I guess I'll be at it again within the next days ...
  4. I'm sure there'll be someone from Helgestorp, Stoneroda or even Thorshaven who is going to run!
  5. Steen Larsson is back in town! crazy stuff, we are finally en par with Kaliphlin in terms of comments, way to go Mitgardia and welcome all new members!!
  6. alright, I'm out on vacation for the next 2,5 weeks, and thankfully I do not own a smart phone!!
  7. hey guys, as you can see here I'm working on a harbor city layout. As I'm running out of blue bricks I was wondering whether those participating could also put together some more water modules with ships and boats on it so that we could create a lively harbor scene. Just an idea ...
  8. Thank you Z for your kind advise. Unfortunately I havn't really gotten much into photoediting and the only thing I'm using right now is the MS Office Picture manager in order to get more brightness in. I do have artweaver installed on my computer but I'm not using it much, photoshop seems just way too expensive. I will try to moc more on the focus though! @kibosh: the basic rule of snotting is to think of a 1*1 brick being 6 units high and 5 units wide. From there on you can do whatever you like once you've figured out the numbers! Qcapt. settle: thanks a lot dude!
  9. angeli is some crazy lego builder!
  10. just to give you an idea of what I got brewing there as a whole, a wip shot of what I got so far, more modules are planned:
  11. hey guys, thanks a lot for all the positive comments! @DM+Rolli: yes, this is part of my layout for the GoH table in Antwerpen! I deliberately build the water so that others can add water modules to the layout. It'd be cool if we could do a really buisy harbors scene. You'll see, what I mean in one of the next installments! @skyrim guy: yeah I know, I really need to improve my fotography and so I did. Thanks mate! @CBB: thanks a lot man, I always really apreciate your feedback!
  12. seems like we're second again, by one point! Everybods sings: "Rule Mitgardia, Mitgardia rules the Seas, ... !"
  13. all looking extremely good. I really like how you are trying to integrate the round tower into the wall, I may have to do something like this too!
  14. very lovely build kai, I really like the paneled wall and all the activity going on. Always amazing to see how you come up with so many cool scenes with such a limited amount of bricks!
  15. Hey rbc, you can make up as many cities as you like or pick some that haven't been settled yet. Just make sure you ask if you pick one of the already existing ones. I once had it, that someone took a town I had invented (Helgestorp) and that I wanted to build without asking me. I was a little annoyed by that and it's actually the reason why I have now come up with Thorshaven.
  16. hey guys, I'm really happy you like it so much! @kai: well, lets put it this way, if you invest € 500 in a new camera it better be shooting good pictures! @infernum: I only have like 5 or so dark tan brick bricks, that's why I'm using them like this @Z: thanks a lot man! And yes, as before I took you snot rock techniqe and played a little with it, glad you're not annoyed! As for how many more modules? I currently got a half one done, a full one three quarters done, a full one half way done and another full one about a quarter done. I'm running out of base plates and black basic bricks, so I had to steal some black duplo bricks from my kids (I know, I'm a bad father ) so I'll see how much further my bricks can carry me. I actually wanted to include the "Rose of Asgard" as well, but I'm not sure whether this will work out.
  17. thanks for the praise guys, I've been building on this (and at least 3,5 more modules to come in next days) since the end of challenge VI, after DM announce that there would be a GoH table in Antwerpen. So this will stay connected for while. @SK: thanks mate, and well the tubes are there because its kinda difficult to connect water modules otherwise. Glad you like it so much! One more pic with a better view on the stairs is in the Mitgardia thread! @Yooha: those are some monks on their way to town, walking along the beach is the fastest way to travel in these parts of the country ... @Garmadon: you got it, just wait and see the next module!
  18. a new Mitgardian city is in the making: Thorshaven!
  19. On the southwestern coast of Mitgardia, mostly untouched by war against the elementals and Victor sits Thorshaven, a sleepy harbor city that is seeing a steep rise in economic activity since its more or less one of the last intact ports in Mitgardia. The shore here is rocky but the climate benign due to a warm ocean current that is sweeping along Mitgardia's western shores. The first thing you see as you approach the city from the South is a house build on a cliff. Long ago it was build for the mayor, but later got sold to local fisher folks. Since then it's been lacking a little paint here and there:
  20. Amazing as always, what else can I say?
  21. How come we haven't seen this line nor the new LOTR sets in Germany yet? I thought it was supposed to be a summer wave. How are other Europeans faring?
  22. Wow, what a massive structure! But the size is totally fitting the dwarfes. I've been trying to build some habitation for my dwarves for quite a while now, but it never looks right. Cool stuff, and it's good to observe another great Mitgardian builder in the making!
  23. the only way to moc I guess ...
