  1. Have fun y'all!
  2. It's been a while anybody has build there, so congrats mate! I really like that dark red grey color scene, reminds me other Varlyrio builds. Kinda odd though how this peaceful island has turned into the hotspot of villians ...
  3. Could it be that the film release date got pushed back?
  4. Great visualization of the scene! Ah Theon, why did you do that ...
  5. @mc: own challenges should always be talked about with a mod! As for a smaller ship, you should check out the cog on my brickshelf account and see if you like something like that. It's also always a good idea to start a wip thread when doing a ship so that we can give some advice. It's usually the best way to improve fast.
  6. Great stuff, especially the vegetation. BTW, what's your photography setup, outside light or artificial light?
  7. sorry for having missed this so far as I'm trying to comment on most Mitgardian mocs, but life is kinda strenous these days ... Anyway, I'm seeing a lot of cool stuff, like the rigging or the general layout. Am I spotting some of my ideas there and there? to sum it up. it's a tad too much on the fantasy side of things for my taste. But hey, this is GoH and for a first ship, this is really cool. My first ships looked like crap!
  8. As soon as trl allows us to set the vote up
  9. very nice small ship, I like it
  10. wow, lots of cool stuff, great landscaping. And yes, snot rocks rock! So is this what southern Nocturnus looks like?
  11. I'd say the bow needs a little work, but other than that I really like it!
  12. well, what am I to say? I guess I bow down and say: Moc Experts!
  13. you should get a sigfig groupshot!
  14. That landscaping is superb, amazing realism! Although the dark tan in my imaginantion is usually located in Mitgardia. I try to use a different main ground color for each guild.
  15. we were actually thinking about something like that last year in Antwerpen, so I'd say Go(H) for it!
  16. Actually, I think you might feel odd about her because she isn't riggend yet, I actually often feel the same about my ships and then give them up before I rig them. So please carry on to finish her, she's a True beauty
  17. well thanks guys, glad you like it. @Gideon: this is actually loosely modeled after this town hall in northwestern Germany: Originally it had an open lower level too. It was mainly used on market day, when it was raining or snowing. So what's a little wind to us Mitgardians? Piece of cake! @Gabe: you're right about the rake. It was the last piece I added and it wasn't fully thought through yet. However, this is the first stage only, I will add more to it and redo the rake. @simon: the moment I saw the gothis arches I wanted to do this building. So you can actually say I only build this so I can do something with those arches!.
  18. Amazing stuff all over, but I personally like best is the black and red half timbered section. Quite awesome I might say!
  19. TUB, this was posted in December and hasn't been commeted on for half a year, sometimes you can really do the numbers yourself, can't ya?
  20. Haha, such a cool thing that the two us keep on enlarging our cities!
  21. Hey Isaac, this already looking extremely good. As for my building activities, I am about to do a cat B and C entry and of course constantly trying to enlarge Thoshaven.
  22. Thanks for the positive feedback guys! So yes, this is part of another Thorshaven module, it will eventually be placed at the to be constructed market place my wife asked me to add to the layout. So yet another row of modules that I don't know where to store in my room ... I will also expand the town hall a little further in the back, so this is not the final version.
  23. Ah finally, I really like a lot of things I'm seeing here: the ship is great, especially the folded sail adds a nice toch. But the land- and waterscaping are excellent too. Maybe another shot of the ship without any scenery would have been nice too.
  24. In order to protect them from the evil that was to come, De Gothia had recently sent his children to be fostered by his allies in Mitgardia and Kaliphlin. His son Albion was evetually recieved by Steen Larsson in Thorshaven and was to learn the art of diplomacy. So in order to be doing so, Steen takes young DeGothia through the streets of Thorhaven in order to tell him the way of the Mitgardian people. "Well Albion, this is the Thorshaven Town Hall. After the Thing in Valholl, these kind of meeting halls all over Mitgardia are the places were politics are made by the people. Not everwhere do Mitgardians meet in houses like this, sometimes it takes nothing more than a clearing in the forest for the people to congregate and voice their opinion. And the first thing that you have to understand about Migardian politics is: Mitgardians love to fight! Not only in the battle field but also in the politcal arena do things become really heated! Our people are very emotional and whenever they are annoyed about something, they storm the parliaments to voice their opinion." Steen takes Albion a step closer to the mob: "Albion, don't be frightened by all the screaming. Our criticism may sound raw and wild, espcially when uttered by our Dwarven brethren. But every Mitgardian citizen has a saying in the meetings and after the fight is over, there is nothing these fellows like better than a good ale down in the Town Hall basement where it is warm and cozy." "And yes, these dwarves are really angered. They want to go and fight the Shraliek in order to free the famous Eric Grimmson, a good friend of the Mitgardian dwarves. But the council is reluctant, noone knows what might be going on across the border in Nocturnus. So why risk war with the new ruthless rulers over there, before our troops are fully prepared ... . I really miss my friend Grimmson though!" To be continued ..
  25. Nice one, I can really see a development taking place. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see what's going to happen at the BMA!
