I really admire your small builds and wonder what would come out of your hands if you ever tried doing something really big. Pure awesomness I would assume!

That cart is just absolutely fabulous and I really got a good laugh out of those ostriches, wonder if you could really put them infront of a little cart. -

Ch II: Team DeGothia: Cat A: The Barber Surgeon
kabel replied to kabel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Well thanks a lot guys and yes, Grimmson it is. I had originally planned a whole series of builds depicting what Grimmson went through after the Shraliek had captured him, I just didn't have the time or the bricks to make the stuff I really had on mind. So anyway, here he is and we'll see what follows! @CH: The Jarl was SoT's hero, we don't know what happened to him. @Z: praise from you always means a bunch to me! And yes the cart, I guess I spent some 12 houers on it and I'm still not fully happy ... @Infernum: You got it mate! @Vlad: for some reason I always come up with more stories for Grimmson than for my main character Steen. Maybe it's because he has more flaws to his personality than Steen, I don't know ... -
We in the History forum (of whom most also like to build piraty mocs) highly encourage people to build nautical mocs placed in a historical medieval setting. So if you want to build viking ships, cogs and early caravels, you are more than welcome to head over to the History forum!

Ch II: Team DeGothia: Cat A: The Barber Surgeon
kabel replied to kabel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Well thanks guys and of course cat. A, Sorry for the confusion. BTW, those familiar with my mocs know who the man is! -
Somewhere along the road from Ablion to Valholl in Northern Avalonia a traveling barber surgeon had set up his camp and was trying to treat those who where trying to escape Avalonia to the North. By the man's dialect you could clearly tell that he was from Mitgardia and by his manners you could tell that he was a noble man. Yet his trade and his entire outfit (as well the the fee he charged) seemed that of a commoner. But there was more that was strange about him. Despite the sizzling heat that made you sweat the very instant you started moving, the barber surgeon was wearing a winter hat. True, it might be a little colder up there in Mitgardia, but down here people were travling as lightly clothed as possible. But the man didn't even have the tiniest drop of sweat on his forehead and if you looked closer, you could the that the man was even shivering. As for the man himself, he didn't know himself what was wrong with him or even who he was. Half a year ago he had woken up deep in the forests of eastern Avalonia being taken care of by an old herb woman who had cured his wounds and thought him a bit about herb medicine so that he would have a trade that earned him enough so he could travel back to Mitgardia, where the man hoped he could find out about his identity. Not knowing who he was bothered him tremedously but he felt, that the more he could care for other people, the more he could forget his nightmares, nightmares of dark tunnels, of dungeons, of nasty shraliek and fearsome drow. Who was he, and what had happened to him?

Okay guys, thanks a lot for the criticism too. It made me take new pics which I otherwise wouldn't have done although I totally knew that I had screwed up the total view. Anyway, I changed the first post and here is another pic of the whole thing:

kabel replied to Niku's topic in Guilds of Historica
I seriously doubt there actually is a plague but merely a rumor intruduced by evil meaning Nocturnians trying to stirr up the good people of Avalonia! That said, I really like that house, great job on the walls and the roof! -

I have no clue whether you have amanita shrooms down under, as it totally looks like it. And I don't mean this as an insult, but as a mere praise. The whole thing has a totally psychadelic feelingt to it, which I think really fits the topic extremely well. Man, you stuff really rocks!- 44 replies

kabel replied to Thomas of Tortuga's topic in Guilds of Historica
Very nice house, time for you to start your own fully grown city I'd say The only thing that bugs me a little is the torsos that are not fitting, but I guess that was hard to be solved. -

Thanks for your positive comments guys, I appreciate it! @ToT: Let's put it this way, I recently bought Bag End for a good price so a lot of its pieces went into this build. But the inspiration came frome something else. I was already building this when I bought the set but the bricks came in quite handy for sure. As for the vegetation, the cow actually ate most of the bushhes within the enclosure and to the right of the hill, it's rather muddy, therefore not as much vegetation. There is way more vegetation to the left of the house @TuB: sure, might as well get some more pics of angles, seems like some of the things I put in there don't come across as wished

Previous chapter Next chapter Susanna was a young teen who had been left behind in the woods by her parents as a baby but fortunately was found by an old herb woman who had decided to foster and aprentince her. She had desperately needed someone to pass her knowledge on to. So for the last 15 years Susanna had grown up in the traquility of the woods and the comfort of the cozy house she and her mistress lived in. Never had she seen more than the few peasents who would seek their advice every now and then ... However, the last two days were the pure horror for Susanna. All of the sudden dozens of people, villagers, travelers and runaway Avalonian soldiers had swamped their quiet little place. All of them were seeking a cure against an illness Susanna had never heard of, but that showed all kinds of symptoms she would have thought belonged to a whole bunch of other diseases. Susanna felt extremely overwhelmed by this sudden influx of people because her mistress had gone into the mountains to pick a flower that was said to cure everything. On the bink of exhaustion she just stood on the frontporch and murmured: "An apple a day keeps the doctor away, an apple a day ... ". This was all she could think of in this extreme situation. When the patients were not getting the cure they wanted, several of them went crazy. Some got drunk, some screamed and others were crying without end. Little children stood helplessly among the crazy adults. It was in this state of chaos Alfric and Gavin, who were in search of their family, found poor Susanna. Alfric fell in love with the young girl the moment he saw her, but after helping Susanna for half a day, Gavin pushed him on as they couldn't find any sign of their relatives. Alfric swore, if things were ever to become normal again, he would surely marry this beautiful but strange young lady ...
