  1. craaaaaap they wouldn't pass for decent hero factory sets if the ill-styled heads were swapped out. I'm really pained. but I do want the dark green parts. and the hulk chest. On the bright side, if I want to do a constraction figure build-a-____, I'm perfectly happy to do whatever character I want from my own collection - and much more streamlined than the clunky toy story buzz and zurg - those boys got split into the bins pretty early on
  2. now you've got me wondering if Dr. Banner would fit inside
  3. I only have one wish: LEGO, gimme LOBO, and I will die a happy man-child.
  4. Found a TIE Defender @ target for 25 USD! which would still be a steal, even if it wasn't overpriced to begin with. First TIE I've ever owned, and it's got flair. and my TRU finally updated the shelves, so I grabbed the Sith Nightspeeder (this set has a ridiculous amount of 1x1 technic bricks for a pointless function, but I won't complain. other interesting parts in good quantity: 1x2 plate with 2x4 side bracket, 1x3 tiles, 1x4 slopes. not to mention, great model, great deal on desirable figs.) and Rocka XL, which is chock full of most of the non character specific Hero Factory 3.0 parts, and a ton of terrifically useful technic parts - nothing too unusual but a couple of 3x3 T beams and a good number of beam + ball parts
  5. Want to request the filling in of some weird omissions: the various pharaoh's quest egyptian accessories (all we have is jackal head) the various atlantean accessories (is the manta headgear even included? need crab claws and all) collectible minifig parts past series 1 (all we have is sumo hair) the missing space police aliens (the two from the final wave) sponge bob head/body cover (we have patrick and squidward...) a fixed cowboy hat also, for new stuff "Savage Planet" parts, alien conquest parts, Cars car parts, POTC parts (BL's 95226, 95225, 95348, 99536, 95351, 95344, 94161, 95228, 95343) star wars heads, headgear (new maul/savage topper, etc.), and large figures (jabba, tauntaun, wampa) TOY STORY figure parts (tall fig torso and legs, zurg twitch buzz and lgm) and batman parts would be divine, but y'know, I never expect them
  6. I just did a clearance run got the Race 3000 board game for 13USD, Cursed Cobra Statue for 21, and Garbage Truck Getaway (insect warrior!) for 32 I'm also big on my new dirt covered buzz - an active space ranger should show some signs of damage.
  7. Guess I'll check new orleans again at five. It's a rare day that I have custody of my car, so why not. Still, I'm resigned to accepting the August release. grumble grumble grumble...
  8. I only looked at that one page on tvtropes and then I closed it, no links clicked I'm very very proud of myself Specifically, I want a drummer and a sousaphonist.
  9. BEEFCAKE! definitely getting this one. hope my tru starts stocking them this week
  10. I've been debating getting this set but I think I can decide against now that I know it'll abscond with me overclothes. Kidding, thanks for the review Siegfried
  11. I just realized I have a few severely 'wanted parts' so I can use hero factory better with system This and this but with a ball snap where the pin is. And... that would pretty much do it.
  12. shhhh this is the kind of build I've been waiting for for 10 years built it on LDD and it was a blast. not sure the knees can bend in far enough though...
  13. 33) Mad Scientist Entry (Build by Skafte) 2 points 42) Surfer Girl Entry (Build by SugarConroy) 1 point
  14. I'll be using that with system parts fo' sho.
  15. sure thing. wasn't gonna badmouth him in any case, it just always confuses me
  16. I'm sure it does not mean that. I'd say it's released so it's fair game. BZP and Eurobricks have the timeframe because the sets are donated by the company so they can be staff-reviewed for publicity and so on, and LEGO's given them rules accordingly. Lego can't really regulate unaffiliated individuals who bought the sets where they're out.
  17. Lovin these. though the pickaxe reminded me how sad it is that that version of the 1x1 rounds are so scarce.
  18. Ah yes yes! I hadn't thought about it until you said something, but people on bricklink may well sell "New; Incomplete" sets. "ONLY HELICOPTER!" or "ONLY DRAGON!" which would be terrific because the only ninjago stuff I feel strongly pulled to buy is the collection of skeleton vehicles. just big copter and monster truck to go! And of course, Thanks once again, grogall!
  19. I almost got it yesterday but sadly, my TRU had a half-price dented Slave I box, and I had to change my plans
  20. I would have scanned it, but it folds out like a road map and the scanner I'm using isn't big enough but I do have one of these as a replication, if you use LDD ^ and that's the file by the way
  21. no 'rules' but a schematic for the layout. I think it's likely that the combo rules are only included in one of the bigger sets
  22. And I love them that way they might not be custom mixable or too too compatible with the minifigs, but they're a stellar aesthetic match - and I wanna add in my CM caveman as a Heroica Giant (one eyed space police alien head makes him Polyphemus of the Odyssey ). I do think it would be hilarious if there was an 'adapter torso' though - a minifig body with a tinyfig body shape cutout and you're welcome for the scans also, besides weapons we've got all the other powerup bottles to find out about (I wonder if one might be a speed doubler or an invisibility coat for sneaking past a particularly bad baddie), and the rest of the hero abilities - lots of good extra fresh stuff to expand with. oh and the thing that got in my mind that made me post - I was looking at this poster in the game box : it's a comic strip and a layout for the specific game, with the layout for the giant combination board on the other side. I was looking at the placement for all the little bottles because I was putting it all into LDD, while I was all insomniac in the wee hours, and the phrase "periapt of vitality" kept jumping up and down in my mind - I'm pretty sure that's a Warcraft 3 thing. I feel really dorky my younger siblings are all getting really into it though, especially my 6 year old goddaughter. she's pretty much taught my whole family the rules, and boy does she hog the 'barbarian' and it's so easy to enjoy when you can play it with the kids - I just have to fight my LEGO urges to dismantle it and throw all the great parts into my hoard
  23. I'm wigging out over the hippie bricks (sides of the VW)
  24. I'll keep checkin back so I can get a spot
  25. yeah and also, nevermind my perpuzzlement, it clearly says "take a step back" when damage is taken well done lego
