  1. Kinda has me wanting a combo ucs set with the other destroyer hewing it apart. micro destroyer there can't be to scale, huh? I need to brush up on my ROTJ, but I'm assuming it's just a little shrunk because it's thrown in rather than being a serious extra model - maybe the midi scale destroyer will fit the bill...
  2. Quick note: the head and beard actually do fit together correctly now. you just have to put the beard on when the head is already on
  3. My aunt was an extra. she was telling us all about 'ok when you see ______ I'm running around, and then I'm a dead body for a while' I still need to see it
  4. it's in preferences.ini, hang on, I'm gonna pull it up - but it's just a case of swapping a yes to a no or a 1 to an 0 or something. be right back... Edit: SelectedPostProcessingEffect=0 UseRoundEdges=no UseShadersInScene=no UseShadersInPalette=no I'm pretty sure there are other graphics options, but my laptop doesn't even give the options for the more advanced ones. they're pretty self explanatory if I remember correctly
  5. Oh cool! they've finally differentiated "Insect eye" from "dome, diameter 32" - now it's all full of faceted goodness like the real piece.
  6. Noel, maybe. never ran across a female noah...
  7. This is what's great about forums, bouncing ideas around - Yes, that's terrific! I better get started on that
  8. This is the illustration of what I proposed: Western theme.
  9. Haaa, looks like i'm taking another trip to TRU I gotta see this nonsense I dunno, to me, our friend Pantsless kinda evokes Winnie the Pooh. you don't get much more innocent than Pooh Bear... So I vote topless
  10. My goal was to be as much of a 5 year old as possible on this one: Look guythe, look! it'th jaythn ultimit maaathtr! ahem, jason ultimate master, everybody. pretty much the best thing i've ever built...
  11. Ok, these are "MOCs" of mine BUT They're meant to be more "proof of concept" for my dream hero factory wave. Some brickbuilt parts are meant to be placeholders for dedicated molds, and some parts on Breez and Nex and are just floating, etc. LXF FILE 4 heroes we all know: STRINGER NEX FURNO BREEZ 2 villains we don't (these would be joined by a buzzard themed villain): TumbleDweeb and Cactadax Hi ho, Silver. you need a head.
  12. Thanks, guys. Glad ya like 'em ;) Side note - yes I can get all these to stand on their feet in real life ;) (well except the dinky little mermaid, for obvious reasons) I've got another batch of models about ready to upload, which have no real life counterparts, and they're really more "proof of concept" than moc, with brick built assemblies in place of dedicated parts, and an instance where some of these are just floating. But I still think they're coming out how I like it. Stay tuned ;)
  13. Just wishing there was a magic autoconnect for that exposed ball and that empty socket AKA what Aanchir said
  14. sorry about the image sizes. LXF, all together Handshake (or with recon team naming: Jimmy the Fist) Ariel Aerial (needs jetpacks, methinks) Centaur (unnamed) Spectaculous (named by my then 5yr old goddaughter ) the hose is supposed to connect to the back of the hips. this was a nex evo surge drilldozer combiner (my original purchase from shop at home)
  15. Ok, absolutely loving it, BUT Due to the new parts, we've got a new necessity. Hinge align needs updating to work with sockets
  16. Every species is entitled to it's badass, and this fellow looks like a no nonsense warrior, likely had plenty of top notch martial training perfected by his people ages past. They're a proud warrior civilization. (I would say "respected", except, you know, Jar Jar) For all we know this whole contingent of the Gungan army is comprised of Gungan Bruce Lees. And who knows how worn down Grievous is at that point?
  17. Thanks for keeping an eye out! I don't know if the additions will show up exactly on time, because they didn't come out and say "at this time, the replacements will instantly take effect" but the update that it's right around the corner is welcome but still, wake me when it happens <- perhaps the first time I've used sceptic for it's intended purpose
  18. Exactly! Don't feel like I'm cheating on Lego I hope they distribute more of the line soon. The tree frog did look cool, but for me it was just a toss up between the panda and the koala - I think I picked well
  19. I totally overlooked this - but posted in another topic - select nanoblock sets are sold in the USA now, so not Japan only anymore - but not what I really want, the bulk packs. They don't use stud and tube, so modulex has the advantage there. but I'm still hooked
  20. Hey man, saw in a topic that you were interested in the nanoblock - select sets are now distributed @ US TRUs. the most terrific stuff is still stuck in japan I think - huge packs of bulk bricks, easter island heads, drumset, huge castles - but you can get a pretty sweet sampling as of now. Just letting ya know.

  21. Excuse me for bumping but Ohio Art (the Etch-a-Sketch company) distributes a selection of nanoblock sets stateside (at Toys 'R' Us) as of a sometime in 2011 - 3 of the architecture sets @ $15 dollars, 6 bagged animal models @ $8. Picked up a terrific little koala set.
  22. Ah, sorry you missed out. Sadly I don't have any extras of those And the guy who was "buying a box for his kids" eludes me still... Don't worry folks, I'm not really a conspiracy theorist
  23. All the same I think I'm going to load LDD offline until someone here confirms a palette update - otherwise the suspense will kill me
  24. The Toys R Us on Veterans, right? You didn't buy a box of series one and pretend it was for your kids, did you?
