  1. I got the same card in the US last Friday, except it mentioned the UCS MF entry. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to buy... the only thing I really don't have is Obi-Wan's starfighter, but I was going to use my VIP points to get it pretty cheap, but that would take it down less than $75. Seems silly to be thinking about spending money I didn't really intend to spend for a figure, but I'm sure I won't be the only one !
  2. Thanks Solscud007. I certainly have technic pins that I'm sure I'll never use, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to bring myself to cut them. It would be nice if Lego would change the head, and give it holes like the clone helmets. Then we could easily attached accessories.
  3. Thanks Brickdoctor. I'm not going to cut, and I'm not sure I like the squeezing arm solution... so I'm not sure what I'll do because I really like the way it looks.
  4. Sorry if I've missed this along the way (with this or the previous posts about mods of astromechs) but what is the piece used to attach the third leg? I can't figure it out!
  5. I think I like that there are no internal play features. This could be a good way to go- the integrity of the model is intact, and looks fantastic. As a bonus, we get a "battle pack" of figures associated with one of the scenes. It's almost like two sets in one!
  6. I've often wondered if I could get into Technic, and have been tempted by the Super Car. But if I saw a set like this, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Amazing work.
  7. Welcome to Eurobricks!
  8. Welcome, Artem. I know you'll have a good time here.
  9. Welcome spacejunk, and have fun. I think having kids was just my excuse to get back into Lego...
  10. Welcome Max/bobajobb. I think you'll enjoy Eurobricks, and especially the Star Wars posts. Time to dust off the old Kenner/Hasbro SW figures!
  11. I'm partial to imperials, but I think that the Imperial Flagship looks much better proportioned.
  12. There are a couple of Jawas in my basement anxiously awaiting the shipment.... Thanks, KimT!
  13. Thanks for saving me just in time, JimButcher. I was beginning to think the scent of free Lego had driven my fellow Eurobrickers insane! Good job!
  14. See the next two posts after yours..... maybe I should be surprised more people aren't seeing this as an April Fools joke. Honestly, even if Jim didn't intend this as a social experiment, I've been surprised to see the results. It just seems to me the proportion of people thinking this could be an April Fools joke is waaaaay less then the people looking to jump on the free Lego bandwagon. Again, if I'm made to look like the biggest fool, I'll be happy for everyone. But I'll take that chance.
  15. I don't believe it. I just don't. And I agree with IamWillGibson. I'm amazed that while everyone is skeptical, everyone is still asking for Lego.... I feel like the lure of free Lego is clouding everyone's minds... rational people are buying this hook, line and sinker. I suppose it could be ME who's the biggest fool on Eurobricks..... and if so I'll eat humble pie.
  16. Congratulations to the winners! I enjoyed all of the entries.
  17. Minifigs: Rebel trooper battlepack. These guys are so iconic of the rebellion, and you get four. Parts: Again the Rebel trooper battlepack. I agree with Roncanator- I like the colors. Design: Hoth Rebel trooper battlepack. I agree with those who said that it includes the only near canon vehicle. But I wish it had four troopers...
  18. Wow! Thanks for the raffle, KimT, and congrats to the other winners. Now I can start building an astromech army...!
  19. I love it, Masked Builder! I especially like the flashing red lights. The really add to the atmosphere. I get the feeling that these guys are cleaning up someone else's mess, and this is not what they thought they signed up for!
  20. I like LuxorV's first. The TIE fighter and x-wing are iconic. Adding Yoda ties almost all versions of SW together- OT, PT, CW. Even though it's a CW Yoda, it balances old with new, and doesn't show any bias towards any particular series. But good work on all of them, everyone!
  21. I think this reaction to Fallenangel is a bit harsh. I don't know him personally or what his situation is, but I'm sure he's aware of what's going on in Japan. That being said, this is a forum specifically to talk about Lego Star Wars, not the tragedy in Japan. For alot of us, this hobby is a break from our lives which can otherwise be, at times, stressful, and also at times, filled with tragedy. Cut Fallenangel some slack. He didn't do anything wrong by doing what he's supposed to do in a forum.
  22. Excellent idea, Fallenangel. I agree, and hope they do this, too.
  23. I think the BARC (or a speeder bike) would look awesome as an UCS- like a foot or two long. Imagine the detail...
  24. What always bothers me about the special editions is missing line said when Luke is looking at the Sand people through his binoculars, and realizes that there are more banthas than tusken raiders. I don't know why that line was taken out. It's a little thing, but it always bothers me.
  25. I like the ones with just the blue arms. The one of the right looks like a deranged muppet, or a guy who was eating blueberry pie when the muster call came.
