  1. I believe it is actually the mould releasing agent not "in" the tires themselves. Just use the methods said above, paper towels or soap and water.
  2. Yes, you can order by phone, just make sure to have the part numbers for the parts you want and a description.
  3. Anyone make any progress on an EB server?
  4. I hope you minecrafters enjoy this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_FkfrbsEMI&feature=sh_e_top&list=SL ...I sure did.
  5. Sorry to bump an old topic, but my question does not seem to need a new thread... So, does this peroxide method of whitening damage or harm printed pieces?? Recently I have gotten a large load of Modulex letter tiles and many of them are quite yellowed. I just want to know that the printing will be safe with this cleaning method. Also does this method work for colors other than blue, grey and white?
  6. I have a "box of shame" where all that goes into M3g4B10cks, broken pieces, Tyco etc., I do not throw them out nor bother donating them (maybe once the box gets full I will) they just get sorted out and put aside in the box.
  7. Those are elaborately custom and complex systems relatively similar to the faller system, just on a large scale. I would not want to know how much one of those miniland vehicles would cost to build such a system. I know the LEGOland parks have their own shops in the Modelshop for just these animatronics.
  8. What I was planning was to make a sort of story out of it with series of pictures of a "groundbreaking ceremony" to construction, additions, possibly some arguing minifigs with comic speech bubbles etc. I agree fully that a thread with no pictures would be bad taste and is something I will not do, no worries.
  9. Would posting a Work in Progress thread be allowed and not frowned upon on the board? I've seen others post these, I just really want to make sure since my "MOC to be" is not in existence yet, but I think it would be cool to follow progress as I build for this year long endeavor.
  10. Darn, they made the Bus look too good... looks like I'll be hoarding those like I did with the Beetle set.
  11. I'm guilty of playing Minecraft, I have been playing for a few weeks and I can say the game is quite fun. If someone made a EB server, I'd join.
  12. The problem with the faller system to be adapted to LEGO is that the LEGO cars would probably be way to heavy for the small car system to work with, these cars are HO scale and only weigh a few ounces, a LEGO car is more than that. Also to modify the HO system to a LEGO car would be a very tough task and would be more hassle than it is worth.
  13. This! Just contact the seller and say that you are interested in buying and that you will pay the additional costs to ship. I have done this many times with international sellers to ship to the US, they say they will not, but after explaining that I will pay the shipping, customs and necessary costs, they will in the end ship. I also shipped things internationally when I did not originally want to, as long as the buyer pays the costs, I'll ship anywhere, it goes the same for many other sellers.
  14. This is the problem I am faced with right now... and have been for the past few years. My basement is my LEGO lair, but I try to confine my collection off the billiard table I have and only stay in the back half, but lately (pre-Brickworld build madness) It has crossed over to the rest of the room, built MOCs everywhere, new purchased sets, boxes everywhere, boxes on the floor etc. etc. Ugh time to get sorting again.
  15. I second the Schaumburg Convention Center!
  16. NO TO CARDED PACKS!!!!! I Effing hate those nightmares on the pegs. As a Diecast car collector as well the mystery cars are, yes popular with kids, but a nightmare with collectors and most likely a nightmare for the stores because many of these get torn open right on the shelves and get damaged way more than a plastic packet. I have seen so much hassle and travesty with the Mystery packs by both Hot Wheels and Johnny Lightning. Every time I go to a store, these are always torn apart, cars laying outside the packaging, or people buy them, heat off the glue, and repack crappy cars into them. The cardboard blister is the WORST thing that could be done.
  17. Unless your order is huge and you caught the PaB Warehouse in Poland at a busy time will vary the time of your order coming. 2 to 4 weeks is nothing unusual for PaB orders.
  18. Do not forget me... I helped a tiny bit putting together the grass things and putting out some of the bricks for the water.
  19. hehe, Dale. were you really up till 1 getting ready? anyways, I'll probably stop at a LEGO store today on the way to opening ceremonies.
  20. Did you ever take out or replace a window or windshield in a real car? Hold it up to clear plate glass and its suprising how much of a blue hue the glass is. I have no problem with trans-light blue as it does hold some reality.
  21. Yes, the set is quite rare. I'd keep it if I were you (same as I would not sell mine). And yes, the 1000 average is accurate, some might go for less, new in box sets for quite a bit more.
  22. Ready?... not at all, still have building to do, I'll probably be building till the set up day. BUT! I cant wait to see everyone again and just have fun!
  23. I would not use that on LEGO, the stuff has a harsh smell and it is almost impossible to get off.
  24. Yes... I'll take pics when I get it.
  25. Might as well add me to the list. I Love LEGO Trains, the train sets were some of the first ones I had as a kid, and I still have a passion for them (along with all the other themes). I have train sets from the early to late 90's, Metroliner, Cargo train sets, passenger trains, the new Emerald Night, to *soon to buy* Maersk train. And not to forget the few MOC trains I have as well.
