[TC10] Man TGS 6x4 With Hook Lift
Milan replied to Ti-Max's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Truck part is indeed very nice and realistic. I hope the pneumatic section will match the cabin :) -
One of the methods is to extend switch's lever with lets say, another axle. That way it can be achieved much better precision.

[TC10] Wheel Loader

I was wondering the same thing. Unimog tires would be better aesteticaly, but they are probably too small for Jorge's plans.- 86 replies

Yeah, i like PF very much (especially after servo), but nothing can beat that pressured air whistle-sound when you operate pneumatics. We will be enjoying that sound a lot after all the participant post their entries!
-
I would like that, too. But rules state No ModelTeam finish. So we will have to make the model in Technic style. If you want to use studs, try to use ideas from older Technic studded sets, like that 8868 Jim posted.
-
There are examples what is allowed and what not, on page 5. Studded is ok, if it is Technic build. No ModelTeam build.

Hello and welcome to the forums! Have fun on the contest! Regarding used parts on BL, in my experience, if i need something like motors, switches and cylinders, I always try buy new ones, even if that always mean buying less quantity. You will never know how worn they are, especially since even the sellers very often have no idea (they got them mostly by buying them from elsewhere). So if you need parts that need to work good, it is better to invest some more (or buy less) and get a new ones. You will end up will less of those expensive functional parts, but you will be sure they work properly. Ofc, this does not apply to regular parts, like beams, bricks, plates... I did some testing on both V1 small and V1 big pneumatic cylinders, with both hand pump and small pump, I hope it helps:
-
As stated in the rules, LAs are not allowed, nor is PF for anything other than pneumatic pump.
-
Yes, but it is called Discussion topic: WHAT DO I NEED TO ENTER? All participant need to create a discussion topic and create a post in the entry topic. DISCUSSION TOPIC A discussion topic starting with [TC10]. A discussion topic needs to show some actual progress (i.e. pictures of the build in progress) and should NOT be used to "reserve an idea".

Manual. -
They are allowed, BUT Pneumatic functions should be priority. Yes. As long as you need to present your model.
-
Why would you find that pity? What is wrong with building big? Each style has its own pros and cons, and each style its own challenges.
-
How would that work? Attention should be on Lego pneumatic system. If you mean 3rd party non Lego air tank, then no.
-
Since 3rd party hoses are allowed, I would say yes, it is better to design model to work properly and to look nice, and then cut Lego hoses or 3rd party hoses to fit. Smart use of parts and inventive entries have always been highly appreciated by the voters!.

[PORSCHE] Porsche 911

Great progress, Jorge! For the roof, i dont think it is too tall, but it may be better to move the roof altogether a bit more to the back of the car. Right now it sits almost on the middle, while it should be a bit more back. Keep up!- 46 replies
