General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread

Of course its allowed (I think), it gives LEGO more monehs, the store more monehs and us an early release of the POTC sets. Of course if its not allowed then that is a good argument for why it should be allowed, I wouldn't however e surprised if they came out a month early. -
Great! It looks really good, and has really nice sails. My only thing I would say is to add a window on the stern so people can see out the cabin.

Its just one of those things were LEGO themselves say May, whereas store managers say April, because either they get the stock in April and don't sell it, OR they get the stock and start selling it a month before release date so people go to their store more. -
Much appreciated guys! Yeah the sail is a tad small, and a tad clean for pirates

I loved your video! I think I shall check out some more!

I would like to know how you get this information sir!

Thanks! I think the Bowsprit depends, I like mine nice and high (for some odd reason) but yes I think your right, usually they are lower.

Jesus, I can say that I have never seen the cartoon, but cities of gold is a good indication of what you are doing I can't believe how much gold you bought! How much did you have to pay for that? Looks extremely promising at the moment as well, if i was a pirate I would be very happy to visit this mysterious city of gold.

[pid][/pid] 120A The Devil's serpent, A small, but fast vessel used by pirates for smuggling. It contains a working mortar, two swivel guns and custom rigging (yay!) A fierce looking vessel! I loved how the custom rigging all came together, it makes it look really aesthetically pleasing to me. Showing off the ship's ornate looking shields (possibly stolen from my Spanish Galleon) Mortar, with added playability! Fire the cannons! The captains cabin. Great inspiration from TazManiac's Pirate Furniture. I hope you have enjoyed seeing my latest ship! And thanks to all the people who are a great inspiration to me with your ships! Comments and criticisms are highly welcome!

Well we have seen first hand how LEGO treats it's customers fans and that is very well! Usually they look through our forums to see what we want, I think a little talk of a UCS BP is healthy for our eager appetites. Also who is to say UCS is only Star Wars? LEGO could make any set UCS status if they wanted to. I would say that the IFS is just as detailed as any UCS set anyway, LEGO could make a big BP and just say "it is a big BP", it doesn't necessarily have to be UCS, whether it is Star Wars or not. -

I think it will be the size of the BB but we may get a second deck or an actual door into the cabin then we will get a UCS BP like the IFS. This way kids buy the other one, as the kiddy one comes out we get "leaked" images of a UCS version so we all jizz in our pants (excuse my French) or they wait a bit till we all buy the small BP and then we get leaked images of one that is UCS. Welcome to the world of marketing. -

Actually now you have taken a still from the trailer that does look slightly how TLC might make the BP, except without all the rigging. -
Great! I read about that ship the other day, glad to see someone make it. Will you make it in reality?

I wonder what sort of sets they will make. A hello kitty licensed theme would be badass, figuratively. -

I am still speculating whether that is the actual BP, although looks promising. -

Hmm, if that is the official BP it would be strange for LEGO to put so much rigging on it when the ship with more pieces (QAR) has almost no rigging. However it may be the BP and LEGO have just added rigging on the game. -
Brickbeard's Bounty IFS Original IFS (No flag at back and a bit of broken rigging ) Cannon Battle x3 Kraken Attackin' x2 Loot Island Shipwreck Hideout Soldier's Arsenal x3 (Or 2, not sure which ) Pirate Survival I also have 3 old Bluecoats currently in the brig of the IFS, So possibly sabre island from my big brother when he was young. Anyway, I quite like my collection so far, still missing some classics I would love, but I will get some when I can.

Out of official TLC trains I would have to say EN

Which figurehead in the pirate theme do you like most?
______ replied to Dreamweb's topic in LEGO Pirates
None of them. IFS's is a saw shark. -
I really love your furniture! The bookcase is simple yet clever and I like the minifig hands for a hat stand! Will certainly be using in my next ship.

Wow, I want to make one now, yours is superb and also it is nice to see someone make a different type of ship.
