Can you add these ships to the index please ? HMS Maverick Devil's Serpent Spanish Galleon Salty Seal Thanks in advance and sorry about asking for you to upload four whole ships but I never got round to asking when I made the topics
-
Same skull though, I don't see why they can't use the proper flag design but they instead use the cartoon skull

Actually now I have seen all the images it isn't as bad as pre-empted. The figures look really great (I had no doubt about that though) Also the cabin is enclosed (with a brown door!) Do I spot a brown bandana? However it still has some flaws such as the fact it hasn't got a stern piece (even if it is more movie accurate without) Also I still thing the exterior of the cabin could look better. Sails need more rigging Flag is the same as BB? (If so then I think that it is too cartoony) Needs more cannnons! P.S the figurehead has something weird on her back? EDIT: P.S.S Wings, they must be the wings! Hopefully they are a new mould.

REVIEW: 7866 12V Remote Controlled Road Crossing
______ replied to Brickaroo's topic in LEGO Train Tech
This is what we need a power functions set to do, I love the way kids would be able to stop trains (or cars) and have all these working features, must of been a great era for LEGO train fans to have grown up with, greatreview and GREAT set! -
Why do we need a review we can tell what they're like from here However I do need you to clarify if this is chinese plastic or not?, because that plastic REALLY annoys me!
-
Right I have (finally) updated the stern of the ship, you can see it in the first post, sorry it took so long I had my GCSE's to worry about

To be honest no one was expecting a set that big, this set only has 800 pieces, we expected something better then what we have seen. The BSB had around the same number of pieces and remains one of the best official TLC ships ever made. They could have made the Black Pearl look a little more like the BSB, or in fact have the same quality.

I think you should buy some redcoats or bluecoats off Ebay. You can build ships or forts yourself but if you want to start with a few good ships the Blacks Seas Barracuda and the 2009 Imperial Flagship is a great way to go. There are some fantastic MOC's you can find of ships and things, all you need is the prefab ship hulls, a ship's wheel and sails and rigging, then you could create a ship. Just buy the necessary parts from Ebay or Bricklink.

However LEGO does say that the fans think they are versatile and indeed enjoy them. It would seem odd to replace something which is selling so well.
-
Truly amazing! This is the layout I could only dream of for now. I love how it incorporates the lego sets and the different heights and bridges, everything! This should be frontpaged.

I emailed LEGO yesterday about the availability of the AAA battery box and also about these rumours. Regarding the rumours they said, "The LEGO Power Functions elements were only introduced a short while ago and we have also used them for our new train sets so at the moment I don't know about the rumours that these items are going to be replaced. Our fans tell us that they are really happy about them as they are so versatile and I can't imagine them being replaced." Looks like they are selling quite well, why get rid of them?

Yes your right, the masts would look a lot better in grey. However no one has noticed that the figure head is supposed to be bronze!
-
3 official ships so far Imperial flagship original Imperial Flagship new one Brickbeard's Bounty Including MOCs I have 4 ships actually built now.

I would love some new Steam Trains, in the past years we have had too many city trains. Imagine some new piston bricks! In fact I would like it if we got something like 5 trains a year, i.e. a small train, bigger train ... until we get something like the EN.

I must thank you for this amazing tutorial, it really helped me create the HMS Maverick, I recently have changed the stern of it a lot but couldn't take any pictures of it like it is now. I always knew I would need this someday and is an amzing help to anyone aspiring to build a ship.

If the theme must end, end it with a bang! A UCS Flying Dutchman, that is all I can hope for now. . I would also like to mention that A) The figurehead is totally wrong, the real figurehead is a bronze colour, not black. B)The bow is unfinished. They have literally added those new gate pieces and left it like that. C)The sails are fine, as aforementioned this is the 2nd or 3rd film. The sails do have some patches on but no holes. The holes are only present in the first film as like the pirates, it is cursed, and every time the Pearl is seen inonly the moonlight it has holes. D)The cabin is terrible. The whole window area sticks out a bit on the real pearl and has a grey roof over it, if they added this it would be tons better. E)TLC could of at least added 2 more pieces, the prefab rigging on the first mast, even Brickbeard's Bounty had this! F) A long shot but it would be nice if LEGO included some string in their ships like they used to which connects the front mast to the back mast. Rant over. P.S If this is a prelim they may change some things about the ship.

In Australia, very poorly. This is both from my own observations but more importantly from a couple people in the know about such things. So if this is a worldwide pattern, the Black Pearl might be the last PotC set we see. Anyone hanging out on the assumption that a bigger and better UCS version will be released later might be regretting that decision come next year some time. The thing is that the sets are amazing, they look really great, although they are just way too expensive. POP gave us high quality sets at a cheaper price, especially for a licensed theme. If LEGO made POTC sets cheaper then I and I assume many others will buy a LOT more.

Only Emerald Night However I need more track first before I can do anything! At the moment I only have a loop.
-
I still think we will see an UCS Black Pearl for all us AFOL's and TFOL's.
-
I absolutely adore the figs, and 3 of them are for the Flying Durchman! The ship looks alright, I could add some more rigging anyways, and the cabin is a bit meh,but with a few changes like a second deck that will look kickass, £70-£80? perhaps?

Soldiers torso from London Escape pink print?
______ replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in LEGO Pirates
I would of thought it would be awesome if mine came in pink! Mine look more red than any pinkish sort of colour on them. Also Aalak, you say your soldier is totally pink, have you got any pictures as I would be interested to see him? -
Of course classic is amazing, but a combination of both isn't too bad. If we look at the buildings of POTC they look amazing compared to classic pirate buildings also the minifigs look amazing. I voted for them both.
-
I don't like how it looks underneath, it looks unfinished, also the two 'prods' for lack of a better word come out a bit too much unlike on the last ship. Some nice minifigs but I don't see any vast improvement.
-
As per the usual on my ships

I have an idea to round it off quite nicely
