  1. Well I agree with the hat, however I think the beard will be a new mould to look like tentacles, It would have to be, however I thing that at some point they must be making Davey Jones as the Atlantis sets have those crab claw hands (the Atlantis sets would be good for Davey Jones crew as well)
  2. I think my jaw just hit the ground! QAR looks like the coolest ship ever, 6 cannons on each side (hopefully), Blackbeard's hair is on fire, brilliant sails and lots of skelly parts! £140 or £130? Also looks like new cutlasses, the only set that I don't like much is the Fountain of Youth, looks like they are just using up moulds that they don't need any more , but the trans blue looks good.
  3. http://www.yogee.com.au/lego-7994-city-harbor-p-658.html Meet the container ship, a quick trip on Ebay should sort that out. I will then add only the necessary powerfunctions bricks like battery box, motors etc and if it looks like it can hold quite a bit more then I will create an actual ship design (or just put Brickbeard's bounty on top and pray for the best ;)
  4. Hello all! I am starting a new project soon , once I get a big enough ship hull, to create a remote control ship! I am just wondering whether the sun would intefer with the IR remote control, and if it does, how would I control it?
  5. Fabulous! Still a bit small but I can make out some of the nice features. QAR looks quite detailed actually, although its possibly over £100
  6. Somehow I don't think LEGO will look at this as they may already have their ideas, however I would love to see a UCS Flying Dutchman and The hangmans noose at the end of the first movie (when Jack is about to be hung), that would certainly be interesting for parts, yet possibly controversial for a few parents.
  7. Welcome, quite a classic collection you have (wish I could say the same) anyways you want ships at least one or two. However you could buy a few hull pieces of Bricklink or Ebay and create your own ship. So for a ship your most important pieces are the hull pieces, lots of windows, an anchor or two, ships wheel, ships cat, masts and some cloth if you want to make your own sails. A good bet is looking throught the fantastic pirate MOCs forum to get inspired.
  8. So tragic to hear aanother Lego fan passing away. You will always be remembered.
  9. Well we are bound to get a new wave if these sell good (and I know I am doing my part for these to sell! ) and that means either an endeavour or the Flying Dutchman. I have noticed that there is a high abundance of the second movie in these sets, so hopefully LEGO are saving them for last. But I have also noticed no pics of the Black Pearl yet, is it coming out later in the year?
  10. Ah but I know that the 1993 clue is related to another clue, however I can't quite figure it out as literally not one thing on the internet has a record of the LEGO 'thing' that happened in 1993, however I know what the event is called, Ack!
  11. So close yet so far away! I think I am close with the 1993 thing.
  12. Thanks for the pic, it seems that LEGO is rapidly deleting summer and May set puctures. Those pictures in that guys Flickr stream of the UFO etc have gone as well.
  13. It looks like the pictures have came off the website, would love another look at QAR I hope we see pictures of the BP soon enough.
  14. Can you fins these posters on twitter?
  15. I would love a poll or a thread where we all put our names on and a Moderator sends the report to Lego. However I think LEGO will either sell straight and curve packs or remain with straight and flexi.
  16. Well the biggest set is the Black Pearl by the looks of things, even if it isn't UCS it will be over 120 pound odd, so that means it will be pretty detailed!
  17. Well I was at a charity shop today and saw a small duplo robot (well big compared to minifigs ) and upon purchasing him I wondered if you can fit any bricks in his hand or on his feet. I tried few technics but they all failed. Image below of said robot.
  18. Thanks that seems great!
  19. Unfortunately I do not belong in a LUG and I don't think there are any near me. However I hope with all these LUGs giving support by next year we may have our wish. On another note I think that LEGO certainly visits this website, Market research right? I just don't think they really regard the train forum much as everyone seems to buy their track off Ebay or Bricklink, plus usually with their new wave train sets we get a cargo/freight train and an inter city train. So they don't really need to look at the Train Tech forums themselves.
  20. £4 buy the ninja set that comes with a skellie a ninja and loads of weapons, also he isn't Chinese plastic.
  21. I hope the Black Pearl is nearly as big as the IFS, even the prelim with no pic shows it as the biggest set.
  22. I wouldn't mind if we had the option to buy curved OR flex, but only selling flex is a major problem in my eyes. I think flex can be useful for odd jobs like Peterab said, but I don't want to replace curves with an ugly and loud counterpart. Looks like were going to have to get used to it, unless Lego looks at the Train Tech forum.
  23. Wow I love it, very nice modern feel to it. Have you got a video of it running?
  24. Doesn't look as bad as I originally thought, it also looks like they are making fire dragon , earth dragon etc so it might become quite collectible to have a full set of dragons.
  25. I hear that next year they are selling the motors they use in the cargo train and passenger train separately, I plan to motorize my little brothers HP train like this.
