After getting the whole line, I have to say the sets are super! Fun builds, sturdy and packed with play features. LEGO did make a mistake with their box art for 79108 Stagecoach Escape though. The minifigure Barret is depicted incorrectly (in relation to the 1:1 mf picture on the side of the box and the mf's picture on the front) as Kyle, from set 79110 Silver Mine Shootout. The main image and the images on the back are correct. LEGO must have noticed this error before production as they included an extra brown hat and red bandana (but not a second rifle , even though shown on the box with the wrong image they used). Silver Mine Shootout is one of the few sets I've built over the last few years where I have to admit I was glad for the 'idiot proof' instructions, I found the build quite challenging. I certainly hope they continue with this line or release new western sets once the license is finished.

Review: 79111 Constitution Train Chase
gratefulnat replied to mostlytechnic's topic in LEGO Licensed
I've just finished building the set (thanks to the great review I couldn't pass it by) and Butch's head print has one side with the beard and the other without. So I'd wager that it's not a misprint. Certainly could be that in the movie he starts out clean shaven and progesses to having a beard, which is not all that uncommon as an adult male of the human species, or the other way around of course edit: I just checked Butch's Head in set 79110 Silver Mine Shootout (identical mf), and the print is exactly the same, beard on one side, clean shaven on the other.- 44 replies

Welcome to Ameribricks.com - Major Changes Coming!

And unfortunately, that is what I am now seeing. Trolls. I thought the Lego community was a bit more mature than that, at least here on Eurobricks for how it was moderated... Seems they have allowed it to descend into something which lets forum trolls have free reign to offend people and seem to be backing it by allowing this farce to continue without ANY input from the forum moderators whatsoever. Keep trolling and fanning the flames guys, let's see what this 'nice Lego community' is really like... You know, I meant no offence, I guess some of us are taking this name change (which is a JOKE) a little more humorUoSly than others. I understand that's not the case for all members, which is perfectly fine. But to outright call me a troll while being a very quiet member of Eurobricks (yes, Eurobricks ) for four years is a little over the top. Although you're right that I was fanning the flames, it was all in good humour, which should have been clear from all the smiley icons in my post that you quoted. Well, no hard feelings from my side, I've enjoyed the moderators' prank, and understand that you & others haven't, or have been offended by certain comments. I am convinced that none of these comments were intentionally meant as insults or to be demeaning. I actually enjoy reading many of your comments in the SW forum. Although I don't participate actively on this forum, I think it's a great LEGO community, and find it an invaluable resource with regards to my love of LEGO, no matter the site is called Peace, fellow AFOL -

No... no... let's fire it up (and no offence taken, and not wanting anyone to feel that way either, but I do think many of the comments are just priceless) Seriously, this isn't a joke, Ameribricks is here to stay Reminds me of FBTB back in 2009 (?) when they changed to Power Miners... wow, people sure got upset then too. And that wasn't a joke either -

I just checked my Minifig display, and sure enough, Darth Vader & Emperor Palpatine are now Ameribricks custom George W. Bush & Donald Rumsfeld figures. Hot Damn !! Considering you haven't read the last eight (8) pages, you just won a free green card , and will be able to apply for US citizenship a.s.a.p. That's the truth, and nothing else -
After reading all of that my initial two thoughts were 1/ April fools or 2/ If not 1, time to call a doctor...

Real eye candy, what a treat! Exquisite details inside and out I could imagine living there, except for the trains passing through the back yard while I'm relaxing with my family, but I doubt that will bother any LEGO inhabitants While I think the design of the stairs on the first floor of the sand green house is great, the only thing that bothers me is the width - I think it looks too wide. Maybe 1 or 2 plates less wide would look better? But that's just nitpicking... Thanks very much for sharing

I can only reiterate all the compliments given to you two by all the others! Just absolutely stunning the way such a wide scope of parts has been incorporated into creating these models  Love 'em even if they're creepy crawleys, but in my house I would prefer them in this LEGO format rather than real

Review Review: 21017 Imperial Hotel
gratefulnat replied to Masked Builder's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Of the sets I own of the architecture series (all except 4, and bought directly from LEGO S@H Switzerland) all have always been in English, and no other languages. I can't imagine that there are differences with the instructions depending on where you live in the world.- 32 replies

Hi DanSto, Thanks for a great model of R2-D2 Downloaded your very good instructions from Rebrickable and built this little beauty today. It will be displayed on my office desk tomorrow. Really appreciate that you made the instructions available, that is very generous, and will not share without your consent as requested. Once again, thanks very much.

Review Review: 21017 Imperial Hotel
gratefulnat replied to Masked Builder's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for the great review I started getting into the architecture sets last year, my favorites being Falling Water & The Robie House The designers of the architecture sets have overall done a great job capturing the essence of the buildings in such a small scale. Looking at the great pictures in this review I believe this set has achieved this as well. 21017 looks like it will also be one of my favorites - can't wait to get it!- 32 replies

What a delightful twist in this competition. Great idea and well executed. I like so many things about this, but particularily the inside of the house. The fruit bowl, bed and hooka are just beautiful. Lots of fun, thanks!

I have been into LEGO since 2002, now having around 200K parts & +1300 minifigures. Many of my sets have been displayed for years, many have been built 3-4 times, and others have been parted out and used. Many sets were also played with (and destroyed) by kids. My apartment goes from about 20° C in winter up to 26° C if we have a hot summer. The LEGO is not exposed to direct sunlight, and extreme humidity is not an issue. Over all this time I have found 2 cheese slopes, 1 1x1 brick, 3 headlight bricks, and one torso with cracks. I have replaced 27 minifigure arms due to cracks (surprisingly 24 were leftarms), but these were mostly figures that had been played (thrown ) with by my son & friends when they were younger. Obviously there could be many parts where I have overlooked cracks, but I tend to box up sets after a number of years of play/use and try to check for any cracks/broken parts while doing so. So it appears that bricks cracking seems to be very arbitrary - some sets are very affected while others are not. Maybe certain production runs using older (or brand new?) moulds can cause this. Or maybe the cooling process was faulty during production. It seems that it doesn't depend on where (Mexico or Europe) as people from all around the globe report about this quality issue. I wonder if the number of affected bricks is much higher than I'd like to think, because I don't imagine most kids (or their parents) complain to LEGO when they find a brick with a crack or not, unless in a brand new set. I do remember experiencing many more broken parts in the 70's, but that was because as a kid I sometimes played hard and abused the poor bricks. I'm sure this quality isssue has always existed, but when you start shelling out your own cash for a premium toy you naturally watch more closely for these kind of problems. And of course the internet is also very apt at turning something minor into something major. Basically I'm very torn about this and don't know what to think. Is it a problem or not? (for those who have affected parts, it certainly is. But looking at the whole picture, based on my own LEGO bricks, maybe it isn't such a large issue) Most certainly very annoying to those who have cracked parts, but is it so widespread that LEGO needs to react?

Boobs are a No-go on LEGO CUUSOO
gratefulnat replied to Holly-Wood's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have to say this whole thread has been a joy to read, quite surprised to find it still open. In regards to the OP, I have to agree with many others that I think the minifigure is fine the way it is. Maybe LEGO Cuusoo's response wasn't great, but as someone mentioned they're just people too. Any changes in regards to the anatomy would be superfluous in my opinion. start rant Yeah, FOX news IS really objective ( ) Their news confirms what many people want to believe, rather than reporting actual unbiased facts. In my humble opinion. stop rant -
Hello, I've been cleaning out my LEGO liar, and ran across all my old blue train track from my childhood. What I found (after throwing away all broken parts): 146 2x8 white plates (not all so white anymore...) 181 straights 112 outer curves 115 inner curves 4 left & 4 right switches 2 intersections (1 is slightly broken but still usable) There's lots of fading/discolorization, and it sure looks used, but it is still perfectly functional (good ol' LEGO!) I have washed it all, so it's clean. If any EB member living in Switzerland is interested, please let me know. You can pick it all up for free - or we can work something out about the postage. Why free? some may be asking. Well, I just wouldn't feel comfortable selling it due to the condition it's in (it was played with ALOT ), and I think it would be a shame just to get rid of it when someone else might be happy to have it. Simple as that. The reason for only offering this to members in Switzerland is becuase of the horrendous postal cost of sending it to another country. Sorry...

I'm not sure if I agree with this, but I understand where you're coming from. Life isn't always fair or morally correct... Fair enough , each coin has two sides. Me being a father, I agree your reasoning makes sense. Children certainly relax & have more fun with other children around, rather than being in the midst of only adults, but... I just don't believe these places, with or without these rules, would be overrun with childless aduts though. Although this has nothing to do with 'general discussion about LEGO', I do believe it reflects a general direction our society is taking. With a larger and larger population, we unluckily need more & more rules to keep things functioning for everyone; the individual is becoming less important than the masses. Makes sense, but it still makes me sad. -

Good to know there are others out there with some knowledge of this topic & sense, in my opinion. As a single father with custody living in a foreign country, I have a different last name and nationality than my own son. I am regularily confronted with issues of who I am in regards to my own son. I have no problems when being questioned when we travel across borders - and have learned to carry my son's birth certificate, international forms declaring I am his legal father, custodial legal papers, etc. But I believe this whole issue discussed in this topic is taking it too far. It's as Rook says: it's looks great for 'whatever' company to have these rules, and they can promote how they try to avoid any 'isssues' on their property (with child protection in the foreground), but it's actually about 'business as usual' - cover my own megablocks but make sure I still get my dollars. Maybe I'm too cynical, but I'm on the other end of the spectrum where my & my son's life is complicated by all these fears and regulations resulting of these fears. and maybe that's the (better said one of the) sad price we pay for freedom... -rant over- -
Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

There were four sets released in 2005: 7263: http://www.brickset....ail/?Set=7263-1 7257: http://www.brickset....ail/?Set=7257-1 7260: http://www.brickset....ail/?Set=7260-1 7261: http://www.brickset....ail/?Set=7261-1 These are the only Star Wars sets that had minifigures with 'light up' light-sabers. You will only be able to find these sets on the second-hand market today (whether Ebay/Bricklink or any other on-line auction platforms), they are no longer available over the LEGO site as they are no longer in production! As these sets are all 7 years old, I would only go for MISB (mint in sealed box = factory new) offers, to ensure that the light up function still works. regards -

When this set first appeared on LEGO s@h in February 2007, up for pre-order but shipping end of September, it stated the first 10'000 orders would receive a limited first edition with a 'certificate of authenticity'. That's where this 'apparent' rumour comes from, so if you could post a picture of this certificate with a number over 10'000, I'd really appreciate it. It certainly has nothing to do with a self-perpetuating rumour, it was clearly stated on the s@h page back in February 2007 (and being 42 I'm don't have alzheimers yet , but the number 10'000 was there in black and white). 'Normal' Sets in Europe (except direct to customer-D2C sets) don't have piece counts on the box as in the USA, but in my opinion all D2C and UCS sets do (at least all of the ones I've bought here in Switzerland through normal retailers or over s@h) irrelavent of where they are sold, that's just the way these sets are packaged worldwide. Yeah, that would be great if someone from LEGO or an Ambassador could shed some light on this issue. regards -
