Nerwen looks around. You sit in the darkened corner of the saloon. The one with the good view of all the other tables, yet is hard to see. It is the seat for rogues. Broody loners and misanthropes. Those whose deeds are darker and less upright. The Pretzel I first met, who in the face of all evidence to the contrary clings to the idea that there is merely one god, would never have sat here. I said before either you had something in your head she valued or you participated in someway with your debasement. It sounds like you think the later, that it is, in part, your fault. So you need to make amends. How will you do that?

Nerwen, annoyed the boy's interjection had disturbed Pretzel as he was about to speak clear replied somewhat sharply. i am glad mother Muncie entertained you with stories, but it would have served you better if she'd taught you how to listen quietly and not interrupt. Nerwen then took her drink to sit opposite Pretzel at a familiar table. The rogue's seat. Appropriate for you?

If you are speaking of the psycrown, and I wonder how you have heard of it if I had not, we were sent to find and recover it from Fenario. The actions of this edan caused us to fail at that task. How then could the usurper have it? Nerwen turners back to Pretzel Unless you helped in that also? How deep does your deceit run?
-
You, with your experience could not withstand her psychic assault, yet he could? Who is he? And how can he control the witch?
-
Nerwen considered Pretzel's words. What light and what cost?
-
You were violated. It was painful. Nerwen says flatly. You want to play the victim? If you have been around for as long as you say you have, am I to believe you've learned nothing of mental defence? And yet you were neatly made into a sock puppet? Ha. Why you? Why not the half giant or the mush-brained raider? Or why not the Fenarian? Someone who could do real damage to political relationships there? No. You must have cooperated in some way. Either that or you had something in you head no one else had, which would mean she not only rwalarone you but stole from your head too. I'll not pry into your secrets edan, whatever they are, they are no longer secret. She will use them. And if they get heroes killed, there will be reckoning.
-
Why treacherous filth, Nerwen growls should I give you anything? Betrayer. Faithless liar. You attacked your own party. Without warning or provocation. Nerwen drops the stool with a clatter, shooting the teenaged male human rogue a dark look before exhaling. Fine. Speak.
-
Nerwen gives a one shouldered shrug at Karie's words. She steps around the saloon, approaching Pretzel from behind. Scooping a stool up and waiting for Pretzel's conversation partner to become absorbed in his monologue, she raises the stool to strike...
-
Nerwen looked down at her counterstrike gloves. When she'd bought them they were indeed gloves, but they'd adapted themselves to her outfit and were now bands of gold around her wrists. She shrugged. After all, she had the benefit of leather armour without a single bit of leather covering the soft blue dress she wore. Magic. she muttered. What was it her teacher used to say? Ah yes, It is not wysiwyg Miss Calmcacil, hmph.. She hoped Karie would finish with Pretzel soon. Then she could confront him.

Obligatory meme participation. Minstrel!Nerwen.
-
Well if you have business with him, perhaps you should get in first. I doubt he will be around after. Nerwen sees Pretzel talking to a bird-boy, And there he is.

Nerwen hears more heroes enter but speaks again to the painted lady. I wanted to speak to some of the heroes I just quested with. I wondered where Masters Ablesword and Holla are. I wish to punch Monk Pretzel in the face. I am curious as to who else might join the Sungold alliance. If anyone is staying neutral, I might offer them bright polish at decent price. And I desire to speak to Lord Boomingham and his guardian angel also. She acknowledges Skrall's nod and picks up her cup again.
-
Minstrels heal using ether. Also, Nerwen will go high cleric (2 battles, one successful quest).

[color+#008080]Not really, I was just wondering where everyone is. my name is Nerwen. I don't think I've met you before?[/color]

If your character is not on a quest, drop by the hall, say hi! It's too quiet in there.

Is this a game played on a table with models in the brick and dice and so on or a computer game with rendered animated models?

Nerwen doesn't know Heckz Nerwen doesn't know Heckz is a member of the alliance. Nerwen doesn't know Heckz is a member of the alliance who is standing for nomination as presidentKing. She's in the hall, talk to her. The alliance thread can be accessed via Zmail, sign up.

But if one isn't a shield bearing class, it's the often only way to increase SP. You hosting? I only need two battles and a successful quest to get veteran.
-
Nerwen stepped into the hall, looking for Pretzel. Instead the hall was nearly silent and empty.
-
Bright polishes? Useful. For me or to sell. If interested ask in hall. The sunburst badge? Identification. Voting for Lorcan? Ask Nerwen in the hall, but I did say she wasn't going to vote for herself.

Nerwen approaches a door stamped with shining sun. The golem, standing nearly unnoticed by the door swivels its head to fix its gaze on her. She shows her letter and it returns to passivity. Stepping inside the Sungold Shop she pins a golden badge to her chest and then purchases 2 bright polishes, for 500 gold. She also speaks quietly to the servant at the counter. Nerwen Calmcacil casts her six votes for Lorcan. With that done she steps out.

It's just a game, it's just a game. I'm saying that first mostly to remind myself. Lots of good things about this quest, all said eloquently above. I agree with them all. Clear critique too. For me it boils down to two things. First, Actions should never ever be hidden from their targets. Especially in PvP. Palathadric posted one set of actions in thread and delivered another. I don't know why you thought that'd be ok. Yes, I get that he was playing a side game with you in PM already and that to declare his actions would've made his task much harder, but it was flat wrong to blindside us like that. Second, The game works on trust amongst players and between players and QMs. I think we all felt betrayed, by Pretzel yes, but by you also. We got stiffed in a game we didn't even know we were playing. From where I sit, it looks like the quest was never completeable. From the moment you singled out Pretzel and gave him the "play this way or skip the quest" ultimatum, we were stuffed. Nothing we did as characters had any meaning or consequence. You could have had cardboard cutouts in there and it would've turned out the same. That's your prerogative as QM and as GM, but it makes for a not fun quest. If a quest is going to fail out, it should be because the players have decided to fail it or they've badly mismanaged a battle. Here, neither of those apply. We did nothing wrong questwise and still fail. That's wrong too, though I appreciate its much more a judgement call than the above. Sure, it'll lead to some interesting RP if Pretzel ever shows his face in the hall again and it neatly sets up phase 3 of your storyline with Ulric getting the psycrown. I'm looking forward to seeing it play out. I really did enjoy the quest right up to that round it's just a shame that treachery is so bitter a taste.

Yes Nerwen will go Sungold. No, Nerwen will not be nominating herself. Yes, that puts her in a different camp to Guts.

Let us go to back to Eubric and to the sewers. Whilst we may not get a chance at Baba, Master Pretzel is either a willing accomplice and vengeance needs to be served or he is,can you seem to suggest, an unwitting pawn who ought be rescued.
