Ragnarök Now 3: Day Eight
Chromeknight replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Ok. Yeah, sorry about not talking out loud. A lot of solving this is working out who knew what when so we can spot the dark channel of information. The scum have to lie. And then they have to lie about lying. And then lie about that. It adds up and can be spotted. Frankly though. I'm surprised to still be here. I assumed I'd be killed night 2. I wasn't. Whether that was the blocker, the doc or something else will have to wait until the afterlife. Excluding Adamar, ToKing and PetrDave (sorry guys). For all of us to be here yet have one (or two) of us playing false, someone must've taken a swing to cut out the complications and had it miss. That's what CMPutes theory relies on. That's what I'm hunting down. One question for the thread. Why block the vig tonight? Why? The only reason to do it is thinking the vig is really the SK, so come out and say that. And if the scum do kill they'll definitely kill a townie but there'll be guff about whether it was the vig (and claimed blocker) lying ((lynch them!)) or whether it was actually the scum. Nah. It's a low percentage move to do it, we gotta sort the lynch out. Which leads to the second question. ToKing. Vote. for PDave. Anything else makes you look suspicious and frankly your delay in doing it does too. -

I've been talking a lot behind the mast. What worries me though is how few others have posted here. And there's some who've not responded on the quiet either. -
Lets keep following Symra. She swore to be our guide.

Seven vikings. (At least) One scum. This should be straightforward. -
Nerwen lays Symra in a pose of rest. Murmuring gently in her sylvan elf dialect. She gently removes the elven robes from over the rest of her clothes and scroll case with all her scrolls, finally the picks up the consumables and wand that was in her hand. It grieves me that your lover, whom you promised forever to, has abandoned you. May Galadrya not be so fickle and welcome you into her peace. Quel kaima, Namaarie.

Ragnarök Now 3: Confirmation and Discussion

Not at all! Google found it for me. It's Siercon and Coral's work. -
Nerwen examines Syrma. Do you think she might respond to a Phoenix essence? I would sing a Dirge, but it has no power at the moment.

It pings bad because he follows it up with this. No one, in six days of playing has ever suggested the scum have a roleblocker, nor have any town actions gone missing such that we need to posit one to explain things. But he blithely states the scum do have one. If there is only a scum blocker left who can't kill, there'd be no second kill to need protecting from. The logic is half assed and betrays too much inside knowledge. vote: Tarr (TariqJ) -
Thanks for the song update. Also, Nerwen gains 2x XP, so she's now on 39. As the dust from the Titans fall clears, Nerwen realises Symra is no longer with them. She looks for the brightly coloured scarf that wraps them and retrieves her gems.

Ragnarök Now 3: Day Seven

The read on Jafri is a product of going back over six days worth of thread. As has been pointed out, the list of people to be suspected is shrinking. Obviously I'm not going to list who isn't trusted, since that, by process of elimination gives who is trusted. In any case Jafri hasn't been the target of any actions (unlike Toki) and there is no evidence to support a town interpretation of the (few) post he has made in the day threads. Jafri's lynch should be relatively obvious. But the more important question is, if the scum are recruiting, who can they recruit? If they can recruit loyal (vanilla) Vikings then, yes some of our clears become suspect. But either way, they're down to a small handful and running out of places to hide. The biggest fear for them would be a vigilante, picking off them or their target. Their biggest ally then would be a serial killer who could hunt power roles (ie non recruitable dangerous Vikings) while they went about strengthening their numbers. -

So. I thought that but I don't anymore. Here's why: if the scum did have a conversion, they wouldn't talk about it. But they did, so they don't. -

And a kill bounced off the protector.... Or there weren't any kills for some reason. -
If Symra does not make the Titan fragile. Nerwen goes next using scroll of fragile on the titan otherwise she uses the maracas to attack the Titan twice
-
I could always pick mine up then.
-
If Alf is not doing anything, perhaps he should drop his gems, it'll cut down the Titan's defence. Nerwen uses the maracas to attack the Titan twice.

Nerwen keeps chanting.

Yeah. Wow. Something's stinky. See, I'd think that the way the votes have gone looks like scum manipulating a no lynch to save a buddy. But there can't be that many scum left and I'm not sure which one is the buddy who is being saved. I get that I'm not fully trusted, though I think Jarl's gunning for me before he himself was lynched should suggest my innocence, but there seems to be an excess of paranoia floating around. Any case, to the matter at hand. See, Toki got blocked night 3. There were still two kills that night. We've never seen three kills in a night, so, as pudding points out that likely means there is no SK (or the claimed vig is an SK and there is no vig). Last night there was only one kill, a kill that apparently comes from the vig. The best way to test this is to lynch Ragnvald. If he comes up town, the kill bounced off the doc's protection (poor scum. Thats been happening a bit!) or the scum have been doing something else at night other than killing. Ragnvald is, I think, the best case today. Vote: Ragnvald the Troll (Ranger of the Forest) -
Sorry! Hadn't twigged y'all were waiting on me! Nerwen chants a lucky chant.

Kaupmaud was blocked night 4. He was also killed by the vig. -

And Ragvanald was blocked last night. Not conclusive. But suspicious. -

Hmm. So we won't be lynching Pudding or the investigator then. And in other news, only one kill again. What are those silly scumbos up to? -
Nerwen scoops her loose gems into a cloth, binds them up and tosses her gems away from the party. Its as good as dealing 1200 damage, plus dropping its level and defence too.
-
I have skills other than being a walking nostrum. Nerwen begins a lucky chant. Noticing the gems in her satchel pulsing in time with the Titan she says Perhaps we should drop our gems, and sooner rather than later.

Ragnarök Now 3: Day Five

Naive cop would peg everyone as town. If there's naive cop saying you're scum, someone is lying. Redirector. Could be a town redirector or scum redirector. If town, we've heard. If scum, theyd have to have targeted the cop, which would me the scum know who it is. But if that's the case, why didn't they just kill the cop. Plus a redirector a game with a serial killer/vig is rare, especially a scum redirector. Framer. You'd have to be singularly unlucky to be the target of both the framer and the cop on the same night. Any of those situations above still suggest lynching you to test the cop. *if there was a town redirector we would have heard*
