True. I would love that set actually as long as the quality is more Bag End-y, first wave-y quality, not poor like this new Hobbit wave.
-
A third wave is likely, but not along that list proposed I don't think.

Friends animals would be too darn scary for Middle Earth!! I find the Goblins nicer to behold!!! Only creatures tortured for a millennium by Morgoth would turn out like a friends animal, their eyes evidently are a production of being hidden in the dark for years!!!!

I completely agree with what Lynx said 5 or 6 posts back. I didn't mind the unique qualities the dwarves were given but Beorn has crossed the line. Is there not a caveman beard-hair piece that would be more accurate to the books from the Collectible Minifigure Series? I'd like to see how that would look on him...

I know, he looks like he's wearing a gallon of hair gel and is impersonating a Marvel Superheroes weirdo!!

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Mutant Orc replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
How about- a white witch on a sleigh with reindeer and a dwarf, with an English schoolboy eating Turkish delight and... Oops that's Narnia... Heh, heh ... ... I really can't think of anything, most the obvious ones have gone- maybe we will start getting obscure sets..? -
Lake town chase is one of the better ones!! Dale would be nice if they manage to boost the set appearance quality- I feel as if it deteriorated in this wave, the first wave of LOTR and Hobbit were good all 'round whereas it's only the figures in most of these sets. . It's too late for this now, I know, but Trollshaw would have been quite nice...

Looking at Azog rendered in tan and white I really think Lego should have created a new lighter-flesh colour, somewhere between flesh and white. White is too bright, flesh too healthy and tan !! With a new colour Wormtongue, the Mouth of Sauron, the Goblin King, Gollum and Azog would all look pale enough but not look unusual. Why tan????

I'm actual disappointed with this wave. The sets don't look anywhere near as good as I'd have liked, especially the Mirkwood Elf Army (of horrible generic faces) which is, quite frankly, . I don't like the necromancer and Azog looks silly in tan. Radagast looks strange too. The sets look empty for the high prices they will be sold at. The smallest set is the best.

Maybe we'll get Galadriel in a LOTR wave... Most of the characters I was hoping for ave been made.

I bough this set and I didn't find anything wrong with the printing BUT- a) some of the legs were really loose (sadly the printed ones were the worst) b) the pike men/pawn helmets were obscenely loose, some to the extent that a single touch would send them spinning 360 degrees and flying off. Despite this it is a nice set with no glue and a large green plate.

Issues with window on set 79003 An Unexpected Gathering, help?
Mutant Orc replied to mpaisana's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I'm not overly bothered about the wiggling and I won't bother bothering anyone about it anyway, any losses it may cause me were duly made up by the inclusion of an extra sticker sheet. It was slightly bent but I was very pleased, but felt slightly guilty at receiving an unintended extra..! Thank you Lego for your useful mistake. -
I know, but surely we could substitute !? There seem to be plenty of casual Elven robe prints that can be mixed with other parts... I'm looking forward to some new orcs, all I could do for variance was to mix them with goblins; Shame about the standard long sword instead of a proper elvish one, I've been playing the LOTR game and (as per usual with these Lego games) I got frustrated with prints and parts we should have, but don't!!! I know I may be late in saying this but, the design Deskp you have of the elven warrior in your signature is fantastic, I really like it!!

Nocturnus Tribes II: The Ungolian
Mutant Orc replied to Lord Vladivus's topic in Guilds of Historica
I was about to mention that Ungoliant was from Middle Earth, and strangely enough no more than 5 minuets ago I was thinking of starting to build her!! She is a great undeveloped character and I'm glad you put your own brilliant mark on the tale!! I adore the whole thing!!- 18 replies

It looks like a great start- is there going to be an interior and if so I'd love to see proper engine detailing that Lego never gave. Isn't there meant to be a place to store goods in the block between the forward mandibles???? Good Luck, and may the force be with you Brian and Son!!!

Wow that's an impressive army, but I'd have kept them flesh...

Yes I'm pretty sure that those illegal connections are something entirely different. (!!!) I'm quite new so my definition might be off- it's just when two pieces are connected in a way that goes against their design, therefore Lego would never use it. I just went and looked it up and I think I'm on the right track, as according to The Brothers Brick it is - "LEGO building techniques that break the βrulesβ for connections between LEGO elements used by official LEGO set designers β particularly connections that stress the LEGO elements. For example, inserting a plate between the studs on a brick." I'm sure you'll know what we mean when you see it. I hope I've been of some help, and here's a link to a list of other terms- http://www.brothers-brick.com/lego-glossary/
