  1. 2022 sets for themes such as Star Wars, Marvel, Monkie Kid and Super Mario (all big hitters from where I'm sitting) have already been formally announced, so I wouldn't count on that being the case. Anyway, I wonder what the B-models for the Monster Jam sets are gonna be? I see Megalodon as having some sort of drag racer with those fins...
  2. I'm not really a car person but you've duplicated the original shape brilliantly! Good job.
  3. Congratulations, @kbalage! You should be proud.
  4. This type of truck ain't called "longnose" for nothing...
  5. To be honest, when I read "coasters", I thought of something rather different...
  6. Mm. It doesn't help that there doesn't seem to be an actual six on the list to help us out there.
  7. No mention of the Monster Jam sets? Odd. Anyway, it's nice to hear something concrete.
  8. Two battery boxes? Heck, this thing would weigh a ton...
  9. Ooh, this sounds cool! Can't wait to see what builds come out of this one.
  10. I'd personally prefer LBG hubs, as the yellow versions look a bit too Buhrer. But that's just me. Splendid work @Jundis!
  11. Markus has been listed as a designer who worked on the AT-AT. Seeing as he's the main part designer for Technic, I would expect that he's come up with some uses for the new gear racks in this theme as well.
  12. Makes for a more manageable scale, I guess. Also, I suppose @Erik Leppen's point about the "retyrement" is why TLG didn't bother doing the rims in any colour other than LBG in recent years. Too expensive for a part in the process of being scrapped. Anyhoo - 2022 sets! El Toro Loco is my current favourite.
  13. I'd say so. Unfortunately, if the polybag is indeed 2022's Volvo set, the proposed metric would mean we'd have to wait until 2024 for the next set.
  14. Yeah, that logic checks out. I'm actually surprised they've stayed in production this long. That said, the last set to use them was in 2018, so they may have been retired already. Models such as trucks and cranes seem to use the "universal" road tyre now.
  15. Other stuff I've noticed: Neither truck seems to have a flag on the back, and the teeth on Megalodon look harder to line up than the spikes on Max-D. Also, the arches on El Toro Loco look to be decorated with flames as on the real truck - I'm not sure if they're stickers, or prints like on the McLaren.
  16. And there was me thinking the original B-model was cool... this looks seriously awesome.
  17. Got mine today! Searched four shops before I found it; there were two copies, but one was missing the 'copter (I obviously didn't get that one). Pretty reasonably priced too at £4.99, considering you get a set and a poster.
  18. The UK version has been released.
