That's not what "hard science fiction" means. Hard sci-fi is sci-fi that revolves around the extremely accurate representation of scientific principle. Military sci-fi is something else entirely; its hardness depends on the author.

Great stuff! Makes me wish TLG had done a Volvo compactor for the polybag set. -
Nice replica! There are one or two differences with the official set (eg. the beam going under the cab), but overall this looks like a pretty cool build and it's made me pumped for the real thing! Plus telehandlers always look better from the cab side.

Good review! Love the enormous amount of time spent on Megalodon while El Toro Loco gets the bish-bash-bosh treatment. El Toro Loco is still my fave despite the awkward stickers (I bloody hate orienting them on beams!). To me it has the classic monster truck aesthetic and appeal; Megalodon is just a bit too out there, at least for me, and the blue looks a bit washed out. Blue rims would have been cooler as well. El Toro Loco ain't perfect either (those flamin' horns won't stay still!) but it's the better truck in my view.

Very cool! The tan gear atop the cabin looks a bit out of place, but you could swap it for a black one. There's even a white version that would look great!

Sariel has missed the last two "surprise" review dates on his YouTube channel. I wonder why. -
Volvo has a pretty big equipment range, with loads of great subjects for new sets. I have no problems with the polybag, don't get me wrong, but for that to be the coming year's sole Volvo set seems like a bit of a missed opportunity.
