5150 Lego

Picked up the new techinc Combine tractor at TRU today. Half way done. Will be doing a review tommorw!

Man, transformers toys are completely sold out in my area. i meanlitterally absolutly nothing. Maybe a cyber slamer here or there, but nothing good. (no offesnse to thoses that like the cyber slamers). Its clear that all the stores are waiting for the next wave since there's still a big section deadicated to transformers. Just have to wait i guess.

WOW! Now thats what i'm talking about! Defenatly looks better than the first. Looks like there following the blood and gore factor that the first and second predator movies had. Anyone catch the half alien/half predator? Looks sweet! One thing that concerns me though. Since you had to enter your age twice, and at the begining it said "aproved for restricted audiences only" in red screen instead of.. "aproved for all audiences" in the normal green screen, does this mean that this movie could carry an NC-17 rating? If so, many theaters (at least in my area) won't carry movies with higher than R ratings. Somthing tells me it will be toned down a bit by christmass (realse date).

Exellent review! Ican defenatly see where this set falls short of the model team sets of the past. But i can defently see mocs posibilites in the creator truck. Sterring will be a challenge, and a bigger sleapercab is a must! Can't wait to get mine!

Just cause the pneumatics in one set didn't work well, doesn't mean that they should stop using them altogether. :-| Like Gylman and i were discussing, there are plenty of great examples of pneumatic set in the past. No reason that LEGO couldn't make more great models using them.

No no. You miss understood me. I agree, that people should be able to watch it on whitch ever format they want. I think its wrong that were forced to go by a $3K tv, and $600 dvd player just to watch certain dvd's. Espeacailly since HD, and blue ray haven't fully caught on yet. See. Told ya! *y*

TF figs are practicaly sold out everywhere i've been looking in the states. I've gone everywhere TRU, TARGET, WALLMART, nothing. Only thing they have left are cyber slammers. and the small 3" dieccast figures. The rest of the TF section is completely bare. Must be waiting for the 3rd wave of figes to come through. Hmm. Well, i think Bay is just playinga game. To be honest, a movie like this is ussually always shownin all 3 formats. DVD, HD-DVD and Blue ray. Maybe not now, but more than likely paramount will change there minds closer to the DVD release date. Maybe by then, Bay will change his mind. Preety stupid on his part though. But it looks like that some people might have gotten there wish. But to be honest, i don't know another director that would be as good as bay for this type of movie. I know manythink that a TF fan would make a much better director than bay, but i just don't find that true. Some may not want to admit it, but Bay does great action movies and knows how to blow stuff up. So here's the question... If bay sticks to his guns and doesn't direct the sequel, who do you guys think would do a better job and why?

Man, and i thought movie Ratchet was good. This is really good. I think i like this one better than the movie Ratchet. But i can defenatly see this bot working as "Inferno" for TF2 if he makes it into the sequel. Now i have mixed emotions on this one. Defenatly more reconisable as star scream than the movie con, but just doesn't do it. Feels to femine. Defenatley doesn't have the menacing and evil presence that the movie Starscream does. This version just isn't intimadating. I agree with vader that if they went this route they'd loose alot of money. I could see them offering a speacail "behind the scences" that is only avaible on the HD DVD versus the regular DVD. Though, know that i think about it, when the star wars trilogy was re-released, wasn't it only avaible on VHS, at first then DVD? I guess thats knida the oppisite of what there doing now, since there forcing the newest technology that most people aren't caught up with.

Was she going to bein the movie? I thought she had a spot in the sequel.

TF2 is preety much in the bag. I'm sure megs will make a return somehow. True. He defenatly could have had more lines. I have a feeling he'll play a much bigger part in the next one. Well, i thought it was funny myslef, but i can see how some would see it a bit over the top.

This would be nice, but it would never happen. The simspons really aren't catered to kids. Anyone that has been watching the episodes, and seen the movie will see that. Thats being said, i don't think there is enough AFOL to make the line sucsessfull. Myself, i'd by it, but don't thik its a good idea.

Well, i guess i'll be the odd ball. I voted yes,and no. I never cared for this series. Just never appealed to me as a hole. But it does have some great parts, so forthe firsti voted yes. Bringthem back. But for wouldi buy a set?..Well, anythings possible, but morethan likey not. I'd just end up buying the parts needed on brick link. So yes for the first, then no for the second.

Great little set! That has to be the best base plate leg ever came out with! I really like the pool intagrated and the mini stairs built into the base plate behind the drive way. Great review!
