5150 Lego

Well concidering you didn't like the movie the figs were based on, it makes sence that you aren't found of them. I think the movie figs are great. Not just cause i like the movie, but there is so much detail in most of them. Megatron was a big dissapointment. Really bulky, and isn't all that impressive in his jet plane mode. Same with starscream. one of the best bot modes, but looks to big and bulky in raptor mode. Scorpanic is lame in either mode. leader clas brawl is without a doubt the best of the bunch. Ecellent in bot, or tank mode, sturdy, with alot of detail. I'm hoping that ultimate bumple bee is just as good. From what ive read people seem to be happy.

No problem Sinner. I'm flatered that you got insperation from my idea. :-) I had the same problem that you guys had. I found that making the dump body one stud higher makes things alot easier and gives more space for lift mechanisim (hyraulics). The one thing i did differtn was i used techinc studed beams for the trailer frames. This allowed me to add some cover fairings to the side. But the non-studed beams do look good. If you guys want, i can take a few more pics of the undercarraige of the trailers. But fair warning my camera dosen't take good close ups.

Good topic! I have wanted to do this for quite some time, but mybiggest problem is no space to do so. This is the main reason i don't have a big city now. I'm in the process of buying a new house (my first :'-) ) and the loft, is really big, and i plan on building to cities, conected by a highway. One prodject that i'm going to start next year, is to some how run a train though every room in the house. Don't know how i'll do that quite yet, but i'm going to arange the furniture based around this idea. I have ideas in my head on how i want to go about doing this, but haven't quite settled on a specific one as of yet. One idea i really like is incorperating a real water way. Give the boats a real port, boat launch, and have the river run though the hole town. I think that would really add to the realisim. The garden idea is good to. Espeacailly conecting the two towns.

That would be sweet! I'd love an RS4 with working suspention, steering, engine tranny 4 wheel drive the works! Ido hope this opens the doors for more VW models. A VW camper would be nice, but i'd like to see an MK4 GTI.

Well personally, ive never been the type to read a scriptbefore i've seen the movie. Why spoil it for yourself? I mean,i understand wanting to know the plot before hand, but i just don't see the point of people wanting to read the hole script before hand. personally,ithink what bay is doing is good. people are going to atempt to get the script wheather they leak it out or not. If its on a comupter, then its not safe.

Wow! New helocopter looks great! Looks like lego finnally made a helocopter that you can attually carry some mini figs in! Maybe this will also be the start of a new line!

I could have sworn i saw on G4's "Attack of the Show" that there was going to be a smaller version avaible. But maybe i was wrong. But i was right that they realsed a second version with higher memory. That and the price drop was a poor move on apples part.

Jennifer Clark's models are some of the best around. That would be a great 08 flagship. Espeacailly since lego never built one with high detail (though you already meantioned that) I'd love to see a grader,or a super car of some kind. Lord knows were due for one. And i'm not talking about just sterring and an engine. Piston, suspention, transmission, 4 wheel drive,sterring, the works!! Maybe a 4x4 jeep or truck of some kind. I'd love to see pneumatic and the new power functions intagrated. If we get another construction vehicle (whitch i'm sure we will) that would be nice. So many possibilities.

This has been avaible in the U.S. for a few months now. Whitch model did you get? Alot of people are pissed off cause ther's already a second version that has more meemory, twice as fast and is smaller, and doesn't have the problems the first version had. You know whats funny? There's going to be a third version coming out somtime early 08. Anyways, i'm not trying to knock your purchase. Glad your happy with it. personally, it wouldn't work for me. I don't wnat my Ipod and my phone intagrated since i need my pnone on me at all times while at work, and i like to put my music on in my shop while i'm working.

Exactly. I've never known TRU to give that much of a discount on lego. especailly on a set that just got realsed. They do have that new red starwars republic ship (sorry, don't know the number) for 10% off, (its $89 vs. $99) but this is the first i've heard of any set going for 50% off without having to buy somthing of equal value first. Just seems a bit odd. :-/ But anyways, i just bought the new 8273 Technic Off Road truck. $49.00. Nice set if your into techinc. Alot of nice little features.

Alonso is going to end up screwing himself. Instead of signing with a good team, he's looking to far ahead. For all he knows, another Lewis hamilton could come up next year and leave him with know one that wants him. And with his recent actions he not exactly popular with the fans either.

Ferrari??!! *sing* Oh hell no!! Ferrari has two great drivers going for them right now. But i am glad to hear that he has left Mclaren for sure. I havea feeling that renault willstil pick him up. Even after that coment.

If Alonso goes back to Renault, then i won't be rooting for them. I've lost all respect for him (though i guess i've already made that apparent. :-D ) I do have a feeling that Renault will be one of the teams to look for next year. But my money is on Hamilton!

The tow truck is a great set, and has so much potential to boot! Like Sinner siad, there tons of room to add a gear box, extra pnuematics, compressor, and so on. I added a pnuematic lift for the rear boom, and tow bar. Still working on making the tow bar pivot from side to side though.

Bumblebee was sweet. I loed the fact that they made him the Camaro concept. But for me Barricade has to be my all time favorte Movie car. Saleen Mustang S281 Extreme in Cop form. "Are you user name Ladiesman217?? Are you username Ladiesman217??!!" Awsome! *y*

Learn from Alonso? If you mean how to be shaddy and back stab your own team mate because your afraid he's better than you, than yes. Hamilton is a great driver. In many ways he is better than Alonzo. Yes, i'll admit he does still have alot to learn and has made a few rookie mistakes (China, and Brazil) but he has already proven that he is a better driver than Alonzo. Alonzo just can't seem to deal with the rookie driver coming in doing better than him.

Sweet!Glad to see other F1 fans! Wow. What a season. I Was cheering for McClaren. Mainly because of Lewis Hamilton. He did absolutly fantastic for his first year! I was really rooting for him and thought for sure he was going to win the championship. But he really let Alonzo get to him in Brazil when he passed him on the first turn. But i have to give up to Ferrari. Great plan to get Kimi out front. Over all i think it was a great year. Alot of contoversy, but still very enteresting! Personally, i hope Alonzo goes back to Renault. I lost all respect for him after he held up his team mate hamilton during practice. Also it would make things very intersting for 08.

Didn't we just have a mini forklift? So is this one of the summer 08 sets?
