[R6 - Arcan IV - CE] Ch. 1 Mando's On The Hunt
Tariq j replied to Merc4Hire's topic in Factions Archive
Some good work there. Really good work on the floor as well. -
[K18 - Hoth - TT] Never send a boy to do a Mando’s job

Very nice build. Beautiful work with the tiles. I also like the crouched position of the Imperial. -
[Q10 - Ota - TT] Interrogations (Murder on the Frozen World Part 4)
Tariq j replied to Tariq j's topic in Factions Archive
Thank you! Really glad you like it. Leia’s cell was a big inspiration for this one. Thanks! Yeah I’m really happy with the way that final shot turned out. I want to try and work more cinematic/character perspective shots into my builds. Thanks! -
*Your entry has earned 2 XP* ***CASE FILE*** ***RIX DANGIR*** ***REBEL LEADER*** ***SEEMED AGGRESIVE, STUBBORN TO ANSWER QUESTIONS*** ***NO REPORTS RECEIVED FROM FORENSICS*** ***A-280 BLASTER RIFLES CONFISCATED FROM CAPTURED REBELS*** Whilst our team was working on the autopsy and tracking down the native chief. I had been asked to carry out an a thorough interrogation of the Rebel General Rix Dangir. He was of course no stranger to lots of us. Like the General Dodanna, he had fought in many battles including Scariff, Endor and Hoth. 20200610_091932 by Tariq J, on Flickr 20200610_091524 by Tariq J, on Flickr So tell me, you and your Rebel group had come near the crime scene but you say you didn’t kill the victim is that correct?” “We were in the area but we had no entanglements with your officer” he replied. “And the rifles? Do you recognise them? I wasn’t aware you Rebel scum used these particular types” Dangir spat on the floor at my boots. “I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I had nothing to do with your stupid officer, you know who you should ask? The natives, I’m sure they’re delighted that Ota is under Imperial presence. If the New Republic just had the guts to intervene with you rats then maybe - “Enough!” “The natives are being questioned as we speak, since you’re being uncooperative I have no choice but to use other methods on you. Danger no turned his head to the Probe Droid in the corner of the room, like a Wampa waiting to pounce on his prey, it slowly moved towards him, its needle getting close to penetrating his skin. 20200531_171343 by Tariq J, on Flickr After two years it’s great to back building again. I’m happy with the way this one turned out. My initial plan was to do two imperial cells but I tried a cross section instead and I’m pleased with the result. As @marvelBoy123 said I’ve got a few builds coming out for our Ota Murder Mystery storyline. So please keep tuned in for more!

This is brilliant. The mechanism you’ve used is genius!

There was the Emerald Night. Not sure how big that was though. I would be up for a large Hogwarts Express.

[M12 - Byblos - TT] Clone Infiltration Unit
Tariq j replied to Darth Bjorn's topic in Factions Archive
Great work here! Reminds me a lot of the Citadel Arc. I like the use of the box pieces as computer units. And cramped/confined feel of the slime area. -
Good build! As said above, we’ve got a really fun interactive story going on that should play out over the next few weeks. So please stay tuned in for more!

What is the temperament of a Dragon? Never tickle a sleeping one is what I've been told. Who rules the forest? The trees. Roll for initiative rolled a nat 20.

But the mason claim was analysed and it got sussed out by Trekkie. So I don’t understand what your argument is there with that example. I feel like we’ve had vastly different experiences on our first games here. I was also lynched our on my first on my first game. But not because I was a newbie but because my play was suspicious.

Thanks for the fun game Bob! We owe a lot to Andrew/Mostlytechnic for getting us so far and infiltrating/creating the town block. It was a HUGE help to know who was being blocked/tracked every night. I had quite a lot of RL stuff going on so I wasn't as active as I would've liked. I think all the arguing on the first few days helped me fly under the radar and get to Day 7. I agree that killing Emmett on Night 5 would've helped. Our assumption was that Robin could only protect on alternate nights when he said his role was limited. We discussed this a little in the scum board but we were very lucky with our first few kills. Taking out the protector and investigator early on plus the fact Micheal/the watcher was mod killed. If I'd posted my "responses" to Remi's "PMs" initially then Hink wouldn't have asked me to post them again and I might have just gotten away with it... Would've been interesting to see how things would've turned out. I will say it was very fun to fabricate a conversation with myself. I was thinking of making Micheal my mason buddy initially... thank God I didn't since he didn't post and I wouldn't have been to fake anything.

That’s a really nice pack actually. Is that the Marauders Map Harry’s holding?

This is one of those MOCs that has so much going on I don’t where to begin. The Wall art looks really good. Especially that circular design going on. Good use of the 1x2 rounded plates for the short walls.

Oh man I had no idea you could get all those parts in lavender! Landscape looks good and I think even though everything is the same colour all the aspects of the build stand out really well

[O17 - Naboo - TT] Naboo during the Clone Wars
Tariq j replied to Ross Fisher's topic in Factions Archive
Really like this. It’s a good clean build - which I think fits the aesthetic of Naboo really well. As do the statues in the wall. And good use of the planet piece as the dome on the roof. -
A good build here. I quite like the shrine you’ve created at the back there.
-
That’s a good clean build. Good work on the piping and I like the crates you’ve made.

A minifigure pack would be amazing. Especially for some house torsos.

I know in some cultures/places Sunday is considered the first day of the week. So maybe that something? Alternatively, maybe Saturday and Sunday are stand ins for shops? So the clue could mean “in between Gringotts and Ollivanders” or something?
-
Stretching here but I guess changing a tyre is the “muggle” equivalent of fixing up a fire bolt or a floo network given they’re the standard wizard img transports.
-
I could definitely see them using that piece as the entrance to the Great Hall with a more simplified interior and a classroom or something.
-
That looks excellent. Add three protruding towers on the Grand Staircase Tower and you have a perfect Hogwarts build.
-
I thought it was very good. I liked that they didn’t go down the “Rex immediately disobeys Order 66” route. But rather have him fight it off initially and then eventually succumb to the effects of the inhibitor chip. I loved that both Lanter and Hayden were used for the voiceover as well.

After seeing a few brief pics of this on the Discord channel it’s great to see the whole MOC. It looks really good. Very crisp build and I have to echo but the chairs and wall are well built.

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Tariq j replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I do think the angle doesn’t on the box art doesn’t quite do justice to the set itself. I always preferred the side on views we got with previous sets regather than the angle we’ve gotten here. But it’s a minor thing. I think it looks good. The flaps on the bottom of the head appear to fold inwards.
