  1. Just a quick update - we're almost done with our 2 entries. I'll be uploading them on Sunday, I hope.
  2. @ KimT: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12433_5999425,00.html Cheers, comrade! On the bright side, I can assure you that a LADA engine will never EVER blow up - so your guys might as well make the step up
  3. This is a bit irrelevant, but since our LUG also uses an IP Board, I was wondering whether you guys would have any idea why we've been having these lag-related problems in the icons that notify whether a certain thread is read or not... Generally, threads are still highlighted as "unread" by the respective icons, even though you may have gone through them a hundred of times - but at one point, that's rectified (usually, within an hour or so)... Is that also a weird feature?!
  4. Very well, Regiment, I shall heed your call and vote - even though, once again, no conclusive evidence has been brought out into the light. I do not want to be the one who ruins your morale by not casting my vote. However, I am not convinced that Private Reutal is indeed the guilty party here. Sergeant Stanley Hemphill, on the other hand, has been acting very suspicious and it is precisely because of my earlier assumptions that I hereby Vote: Sgt. Stanley Hemphill / Stash2sixx. Given his lack of any plausible explanation as to why he let Private Dan Gale die even though he knew he was innocent, I have no other choice but to consider him a deserter - one wearing a moustache!
  5. Well, my reason is very simple, Prv. Aellot, and I've already stated it earlier - I simply don't trust this whole story about the "silent hidden informer" who decides out of the blue to share all his info with none other than Private Yellman. And he seems to have quite a bit of info too - if there was someone who was so successful with his investigations, I can't help but wonder why we haven't heard a single word from him personally? He'd at least have said something to confirm Private Yellman's stories and so far the only man who actually keeps building on those is Mr. Yellman himself. I'm not saying he's the killer - he doesn't have a moustache and I am absolutely convinced that the killer wears one - but I just don't believe that he's telling us the truth, simple as that. However, I don't see how the fact that there's yet one more outspoken soldier whom I don't feel I could trust should really be a relief for me... It's been an awfully long day during which I've made desperate attempts to personally speak to and investigate as much soldiers in this Regiment as I could, without too much luck - unlike Prv. Yellman, I seem to be met with claims of innocence everywhere, and nobody has been willing to share any real evidence with me. Besides, there's another thing that really bothers me. Apart from the seven or eight of us who've spoken out in front of the Regiment today and shared our thoughts, there's hardly been any kind of reaction to this whole mess we're currently in from the rest of the Regiment. It seems that there's umpteen soldiers here who don't seem to give a flying fudge about what happens. And speaking of that - once again, food is all that people such as Private Stelly can think of. Having voted for the wrong man yesterday, today I just don't think I can cast my vote based on someone else's allegations.
  6. Always a joy to blog your MOCs, Pawel :) Best of luck in the competition!!! Keep us posted on how it goes :]
  7. Once again - I really enjoyed seeing this one. Clean & sweet! Great work, Svelte :)
  8. Careful with that axe, Eugene...
  9. Wow, 5150 Lego! I have absolutely no idea why you'd get so bothered by my response that you'd target every one of the 3 reasons I've come up with, but I'd like to assure you that being a set designer is definitely not a thing I've dreamed about, or ever considered taking up as an actual career choice. That said, even if I did, I'm sure there are better ways to improve my skills than working for a rival company. From what I've seen, switching sides is pretty much accepted in some business areas and gets severely frowned upon in others. I don't think I'd be willing to take my chances with a company that I wouldn't enjoy working for in dire hopes that I'd get picked by LEGO some day based on my "expertise" as a set designer elsewhere. Besides, being a "designer" is what's really crucial here, forget the "set" part - and if that's your career choice and the thing you've studied, then you'll surely have at least some options available to you other than designing sets out of plastic bricks. Working as a freelancer springs to mind here, which pays fine, as long as you know what you're doing - and is a perfect way to set up your initial connections.
  10. If you're asking me, there's no conspiracy theories involved here whatsoever, Mr. Yellman - it's all in your head. Just like your "secret informer / investigator", who is probably none other than yourself. Afraid to admit what you've been up to, you seem to have come up with an invisible friend to blame and share your secrets, however I think those kind of relationships between you and your alter ego should only have been acceptable until the moment you turned 6... And in case you still plan on using my name in your conspiracies -- noone has accused me other than yourself - and I've already told you all why I supported Mr. Gale's story about the moustached murderer, and why I didn't mention that earlier as well. As to Sgt. Hemphill... am I the only one around here who's extremely bothered by the fact that you did supposedly already know Mr. Dan Gale was innocent, yet did not say a single word in his defence!? Why, all we needed was precisely for someone with conclusive information to step forward on that day and you just sat there and did nothing!? I'm impressed by your attempts to preserve the morale of your boys, Sergeant, way to go!!! Either you're lying to us about your investigations and trying to lead us away from the fact you've got quite a moustache yourself... or you're telling the truth, in which case you have convicted an honoured soldier to death by remaining silent when you could have told us what you already knew. I honestly do not know which option is best for you, but in case you are indeed speaking the truth, I can only assume the worst.
  11. Thanks! I've planning on playing all the Zelda games, but somehow I never found the time to sit down and decide where to start. Thanks for helping me out!
  12. Ditto - even though I've only ever played Link's Awakening on my GameBoy. Hand down, one of the best games ever. If all the other games from the franchise are like that, I guess I need to start downloading them (and the respective emulators :P)... Any idea where I should start?
  13. In that case you'd probably enjoy 'A Day in Europe'. I personally thought it was a great movie. @nintha: I don't think you were even supposed to be watching that movie considering your age. And even if you did watch it, I guess it's only fair you didn't enjoy it. Tarantino doesn't exactly write scripts that would thrill teenagers or kids.
  14. I wish I could have, Mr. Aellot, but I'm not precisely allowed to do anything I'd want during the night and sometimes observations are all I end up with. Are you suggesting there's more than one killer among us!? I could not have imagined that anyone would go out killing his leaders or fellow soldiers in the first place, let alone that there'd be an entire group of these people. The deserters I've sentenced to death so far have all been cowardly bastards who were just desperately trying to cheat their way out of service - and I'd never seen such atrocity before. So I guess your question has a very valid point and as a direct answer - no, I have no actual proof that there's only one killer... yet.
  15. Well, I think that's just a generic minifig that's being used as the baddie in each situation... Everything else should be judged by what IS has said to us at the start of the day, I guess - and I personally wouldn't exclude any single possibility.
  16. I can understand all of your concerns, but I'm failing to grasp why you'd think I'm trying to mislead anyone. If anything, a Provost Guard should withhold information from the Regiment in order to avoid deserters from finding out how they are being investigated - as I've already stated. The fact that I actually went as far as publicly confirming Pvt. Gale's testimony just goes to show that I, like all of you, would like to see the killer caught ASAP, so that some peace may yet return to the Regiment. In the meantime though, just because I've said his story is true, does not mean I trustPrivate Gale - as far as I'm concerned, all Regiment members donning a moustache are suspects for the killing of our Captain and Lt.; and virtually everyone is suspected of being a deserter.
  17. Thought there'd be a special dedication to Cutlass Izzy hidden there somewhere Great job, Sebastian! Another awesome Modular - you sure seem to be full of ideas!
  18. I actually like the pinky glow and I think it looks very appropriate for the Taj Mahal. Good job there, I can only imagine the kind of ambience this creates :)
  19. I can't wait for you to post the final version of this ;)
  20. Care to share how you reached that conclusion so quickly?! Ah, Mr. Yellman is feeling suspicious - what else is new. For your information, Private, I don't think that sharing this information in public was a great idea - now the killer is aware of the fact that we know how he looks like and will do everything within his capabilities to divert our attention elsewhere. Since Mr. Gale did however come forward and share what he'd seen last night, I thought it would be only fair for me to do so as well, especially bearing in mind that my observations can actually help this investigation. Ah, I wasn't aware of the fact that Privates did not have swords... Excuse my ignorance. I guess I can see the logic behind Pvt Camon's reasoning now though...
  21. I'm not sure there's any rival brand that has: a) the plethora of bricks to choose from while building official sets b) the wide variety of themes that LEGO can offer c) any way of paying as much as LEGO could So, that would make for a bad-paying job designing things I wouldn't actually like or enjoy building. Why would I even bother
  22. That's crucial information... and I can actually corroborate that story! After the voting was done and Pvt. Gale was buried, I stayed up replaying it all in my head and trying to understand why he acted the way he did, leading us all to believe he was a deserter... I then went out to grab an apple from the apple tree just outside my tent - when I turned around I noticed a moustached figure in the dark running away from something. I tried to catch him, but he literally vanished in thin air. I stayed up a few more minutes to try and catch that soldier and question him as to what he was running away from, but I didn't hear or see from him again that night... I was planning on questioning each and every one of the moustached soldiers personally today, but now that Pvt. Gale has shared this information with us, I am certain that the person I saw last night was indeed the killer. The question that remains to be answered now is who that soldier was...
  23. I hear he's got money problems, so he might actually not start at all... Nice colours tho
  24. Another Triumph fan! Yay!!! I'd love to see you built a MOC of that beauty :) @ Big Cam - yep, precisely, but the funny thing is most guys' eyes don't water at all... Oh well.
  25. You might find this funny, but that's also sometimes the case with me when I play hockey... A couple of quick end-to-end plays and my eyes start to water. I need to get me a visor, I guess...
