I'm interested in that set, but I'm not sure about your location... I'm in Europe, so if you live across the pond that would make things as good as impossible
-
Same here. Works perfectly fine! Sorry for the off-topic there. Now then, talking about signatures - is it just me or is this whole Jamie Berard appreciation thing starting to get out of hand
-
I've always known you'd make a great partner in crime mate!!! The Jamie Berard appreciation week is coming to an end... Let's all participate in the Jamie Berard appreciation YEAR! (I can't even begin to imagine how much harder this is going to make Jamie's everyday life... EBbers = obsessive pesky stalkers )

Uh-huh. And have you by chance noticed that this thing is discussed over and over every other week - be it in this here thread or someplace else? It just gets boring after a certain while, that's all. Then again, I guess I just need to do the exact same thing I thought would work best anyway - ignore the whole fuss.

OK, I guess that's all the answer we needed. Jamie Berard appreciation year, anyone?

Guys, perhaps you need to take a break from explaining just how offended or unoffended you felt and take a look at the thread you're posting in. This was about the EB Target Age Group and was started by Sieggy to clarify EB moderators' view on that, not to lead to the discussal of a "weird" MOC. For what it's worth, I can also say that I found that MOC downright stupid and not enjoyable or creative in any way. But who cares about my point of view anyway - I mean, the author has obviously enjoyed doing this enough to post it on a big forum, so I'd only be pissing on his parade if I start sharing my views on art and what it should / should not be like. I agree that if you don't like something, you can always click the big cross in the upper right corner and that's it - censorship is not required, it's just a question of taste. To me, portrayal of LEGO minifigs getting beat up and decapitated is also absolutely distasteful, but to others that's the primary subject of MOCs... Nothing left for me to do but ignore such things when I see them. So, to add to Jipay's words - Screw being offended, period.

That's quite doable - and besides, more than deserved! Thanks for keeping in touch with us, Jamie :)

errrm... irony, anyone? Anyway - @Doc: I can only imagine what kind of whacked out collector someone needs to be in order to splash out on that thing you linked to!!

Great initiative. This will be on Classic-Town.net's frontpage tomorrow morning. I'm honoured to have such guys like you around, Etzel!

Looks pretty nice, I guess... and huge too... but to me that's simply overkill. The price tag of 1K EUR is also definitely a bit "out there", especially in the current economic situation. I hope he'll still find a buyer though.

Thanks guys :) Yeah, the initial version was quite thrown together, but back then we just didn't have anywhere near enough orange bricks to complete it. Now it looks precisely the way I'd imagined it, so I guess I'm happy with it - and Asya also agrees that helpful as those 4x2 and 2x2 bricks might have been, the wedges are definitely a better option. Bricklink for the win!!!

Sure thing neighbour @ Big Cam: I'm sure you can :D @ Rick: I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of me around these parts buddy ;]

Hi there fellow EBbers, Thought I'd stop by and re-introduce myself... It's been almost a year since I first joined Eurobricks. Due to a funny twist of circumstances, I managed to find this community thanks to Classic-Town.net, after The Brickster had blogged one of our earlier MOCs. It was the first time we'd had a MOC of ours blogged and, as you could tell, both me and Asya (my "significant Otter", as I like to call her) were thrilled. Now I'm pretty much trying to do the same as The Brickster back then, while hopefully providing some fun for all you Town lovers out there... Funny how the circle gets closed, huh? As to myself, I'm still Bobby, the only difference is that I'm now a huge fan of Eurobricks and love being a member of this community. Otherwise, I'm just as "chatty" as I used to be, so no worries there :) If you're wondering why I changed from being "TheOtters" to "MetroiD", the reason is rather simple. And it doesn't suggest I've stopped building MOCs together with my girlfriend :] I just thought it would be less misleading for EB members if I used a single-person username when, after all, it's just me who posts on this forum. So, the MOCs are still a joint Otter effort, but at least now you can be sure that it's just good ol' moi here in the forums. Cheers and thanks to all for being such a great community!!!

This one has been lying around for quite some time now, after its initial version got destroyed and rebuilt. Once again, it's a very simple build. And once again, it's orange . It may have lost its two customers (seeing as it's currently awaiting placement in a proper park), but at least now it's fully-rounded. I thought I'd add it as a suitable way to "re-introduce" myself. Hope you enjoy its simplicity ;) The orange storage compartment... We wanna keep those fresh, after all! Squeezing machine and the side counter showing with the top off. Timmy's obviously not very happy about that last thing. Yeah, I know, the structure is not modular, but at least the door can still be closed... Now all we need to do is find (i.e. come up with) a proper park for this kiosk to be a part of...

Blogged! This has concluded our Magnum showdown, and what a way to round it off! Nice job Selander :)

Model Team: Renault Magnum
MetroiD replied to Lasse D's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Blogged! I love this creation, Lasse! The combination of design and functionality is incredible, keep em coming :) -
I've been very lucky in that aspect with my copy of the set. Which, by the way, I love to bits, regardless of its colour, lack of furniture, etc etc.

That... is indeed quite true On a sidenote - I've never had a speeding ticket either, but that doesn't mean I haven't had troubles with the local traffic police authorities... And talking about cars - I'm currently considering buying a Peugeot 406 Coupe (of course, second-hand, since it's been out of production for some time now). My girlfriend is a bit reluctant to the idea of riding around on a bike and the winter around here gets pretty cold... Any Pug Coupe owners around here? I've driven around in a 2003 Peugeot 406 2.0 HDi sedan before and I absolutely loved the car (much better than the 2007 BMW 520i, mind you!), so I hope the Coupe is an even better driving experience.

A wise move, my friend! Cheers to ladies who defy the principles outlined above! Aaaaaaaaaaaand to Captain Green Hair as well ;)

MOC: High Speed European Passenger Trains
MetroiD replied to lego9vtrainfan's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I am absolutely speechless! What a way to make your introduction to Train Tech!!! The trains, the tracks, the videos, the crash ... they're all perfect!!! And I have the feeling that this is going to appear on Classic-Town.net pretty soon! Can't wait to see more of your MOCs mate... oh, and welcome (officially) to Eurobricks!!! -
Test riding one can leave behind irrevocable physiological and psychological damage, not to mention the financial pitfall one might find themselves in. The other features a proper school to help you learn safe driving.

Well, what then anyway? This post still wouldn't have made much more sense!! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on building vehicles in minifig scale, Ralph! You're a huge asset to the EB community and I think all Town fans will agree that your building style is so distinct it's as good as unmistakable. So it's always nice when a builder such as yourself comes forward and shares not only his creations, but also the thought process that went into designing those. I myself also like to include 4-wide in the range of scales. It's certainly not "the" most accurate scale, because it really is a bit unrealistic, but then again there are some vehicles that are really veeery narrow. Besides, I feel that having even more diversity always adds fun to a town! Perhaps we might organise a 4-wide vehicle challenge later on, just for the fun of it?

Ok, this thread is getting better by the minute... Tom, I think it's high time you renamed it to "Biker Chicks Appreciation Thread (oh, and CGH is avin a bday party too)"... Voila, my contribution: Look, and she's even green-haired, just like our birthday boy!!! Seriously though... cheers mate, here's to one of many more joyful years in your life... Keep on ridin' hard and carpe diem - because at the rate it's going, this whole fuel crisis might have us riding around in these and emitting monotonous electrically-motored sounds rather than piston-powered roars sooner than we think!!! Have a good one!

Sogar noch mehr Berliner!!! Herzlich willkommen! Enjoy your stay :)
