It took me a lillte bit less than 2 hours to build. But I REALLY envoyed building this set. There are very nice bricks and colors (compared to the other UCS I'm used to build).

TLG can not afford to sell 10212 at a high price since the model was nearly entierly designed by an AFOL, Dmac.

Hum... When I look at that pic, there is something I do not understand : The bent black liftarm is 1 stud wide. How can an axis/pin go through the brick 2x2 ?- 777 replies

OMG ! What a terrific One set MOC ! :O It has great functions and awesome design ! Building a One set MOC is not easy. But building a One set MOC which is far better than the official B-model is truly very tough ! Frontpage required ! :o Kudos, Grohl !- 777 replies

Noooooooooooo ! Don't want to pay twice for it. Cause if TLG produce such a model, I will have to buy it. Sure. :/

The power puller tyres are much too heavy for most of TT. -
Yeah. I can read. But we usually calculate thee price/part ratio. So what ? I do not care where your (wrong) figures come from ! ;) Yes, I noticed that. I also noticed how stupid such an idea is. You can not compare the price of a today set with the price of a model that was released 10 years earlier. Otherwise, of course there is an increase. That's logical ! But this increase does not involve 10215 only. It is the same for all the LSW models. So, the trend of the UCS line (and so the price of 10215) is equivalent to the trend we can see on the whole SW line. PS : a good LSW fan knows that 10195 (and 10188, but that's more debatable...) is not UCS.

What a clever message ! First fail : you don't even know how to calculate a price per part. Price per part = price / part Second fail : many of your prices are wrong (the 10030 for example) Third fail : you do not compare the 10215 with the current models (I really don't care about the 10 year old models for such a comparison !). So, the PPP of the 10215 : 100/676 = 0,1479 And here are some models which are currently for sale on s@h : 10198 : 170/1408 = 0,1207 6212 : 62/437 = 0,1488 7754 : 110/789 = 0,1394 8038 : 119/890 = 13,37 8087 : 53/304 = 0,1743 8097 : 95/573 = 0,1658 8129 : 100/815 = 0,1227 7752 : 62/385 = 0,1610 8036 : 40/259 = 0,1544 8095 : 55/454 = 0,1211 8098 : 150/1141 = 0,1315 8088 : 75/396 = 0,1894 (@%§#&§!) 8019 : 75/ 636 = 0,1179 (and just for fun, the absolute record of TLG : 8091 : 37/176 = 0,2102) As you can see, the PPP of the 10215 is not really higher than the PPP of the other current models.

Haha. The problem is that most of the CW ships and vehicles do not have a good design. Not because these ships or vehicles aren't well reproduced with bricks. But because the first models done by the designers of Lucas Arts are very ugly. So, whatever a Lego designer is good or not, the final Lego model will be ugly (7930, 7931, etc...) And some time, even with a great model, the Lego set is horrible. Best example : 8039. And the fact that we see more and more reedition of past models (turbo tank, slave, and many other models) is also a clear proof that the Lego Star Wars line is slowing down. If TLG's motto is "Only the best is good enough", It is certain that this motto became "Only the money is good enough" with the current Star Wars line.

I do not understand those who say that the 10215 is overpriced. The price per part ratio is much more attractive on this set than on many other star wars models.
-
Thanks for the pic ! :) So, I only put one slope in SNOT. Why not. :) As for the bracket 2x2 - 2x1, I won't be able to attach it to the wing since it is wider than 1 brick. Then, with only one axis to attach a wing, the model will be damn fragil. :s
-
Your French is excellent ! As for the pylons, do you have a pic to show me what I could do ?
-
Does the studio model of the Interceptor TIE have this two red lights ? Cause there isn't any red light on the rear of the 7181. One day, a famous Lego Designer told me : edit : As for the lypons, take few parts and show me what do you suggest. Be sure I were glad the improve that part of my MOC. :)
-
If I have only 4 studs, the wings of the TIE are not well attached. I also can't put Technic Connector. My wing is much thinner (2 plates) than 7181 Interceptor (1 brick + 1 plate = 4 plates). ?
-
Hello, Few weeks ago, I changed the wings to make them bigger (and so for the MOC to be more accurate). Here are only 4 photos. I will have to do more when I Oxycrest has redone the sticker. PS : sorry to be back on this very old topic, but...

I do want an UCS ARC ! :o

A newbie crashing the party - looking for a recommendation...

The first question you must answer is : How much do you plan to spend ? Because you do not buy the same things with €80 or €350. -
Very, very good MOC ! It is not so big but it has a lot of details ! And you use some very interesting building techniques. Kudos ! I think, nevertheless, that the model lacks a bit studs (yeah, I love studs ) I think it would look better with studs on the wings and especially on the main fuselage (the noze). Putting some studs everytime the noze become thiner would decrease the "stair effect" (dunno if you see what I mean ).
