  1. Just Reality 11275.6 in the last Secret Mission book. I doubt they're going to do more of them in such a prominent way, but since they're Greg's specialty, as it were, I definitely wouldn't rule it out. I just appreciate that they actually bothered to acknowledge what they were, and give us a way to understand it.
  2. That one in particular is the one detailed in Mirror World; specifically, the brains are creatures that developed organically, and were not created, so Von Nebula is still a viable option, but that's a good way of looking at things.
  3. Muuuch better. I'll look forward to seeing that whenever I can claim the mail after vacation (or just wait for the digital version; they're getting a lot better about putting that up quickly. Edit: ALSO. Thank you, LEGO, for actually qualifying what alternate universes are in Hero Factory. So much appreciation right now.
  4. Yeah, I'm unfortunately in the camp that doesn't get a Hero Factory feel from this guy. As a regular MoC, it's good. The mutated side, especially, is neat. Yellow is definitely an interesting color, but it pairs well with the Metru red. The leg in particular has some very cool construction going on, and the tentacle actually works. The torso is quite blocky, and though it incorporates the Hero chest fairly well (eliminating the general wiggle room associated with cladding) it's a bit too stuffed with Technic. The arms and legs also don't seem super poseable, at least on the Hero side. Vakama's mask would work ordinarily, but as I say, not entirely synchronous with Hero Factory themes. Overall, it's a decent MoC, but it doesn't quite fit the aesthetic, especially given the contest theme.
  5. That's it, besides the cover? Yeesh, they don't know how to advertise, do they. Ah well, better than nothing.
  6. You won't find me complaining, that's for sure =P.
  7. I know next to nothing about Chima, but I rebuilt Crawley's weapon to a Technic action figure scale; apparently it's called a Swapulsor? These are not things I know. I'm working on something a lot bigger, but I figured I'd throw my hat into the ring for now. It will take me much more than five days to build what I'm building. Are the amount of raffle "tickets" you get preset, or just what you guys decide based on the creation? LXF .
  8. Nah, it's gold, I just meant in general =P. Any variation thereof; keetorange, gold, yellow, that kind of thing.
  9. Aw, shucks, you're making me blush. The colors are my favorite part; anything blue and yellow I've always been attracted to as a color scheme. Well, earlier I had used the wrong one, so I quickly changed the model and I mean, yes. They're all there. Always have been. Who said anything otherwise? Not me, that's for sure.
  10. Ugh, see, this is exactly what I'm talking about. I never would have noticed that I used the two different hand styles =P. Regardless... you didn't see anything, comprende?
  11. Or the Movie Edition Kraahkan from the Takutanuva set.
  12. I couldn't help myself, but darn if this hasn't taught me that I'm terrible at LDD: Digital Hero Contest Entry: Lance Nimbus Edit: I suppose you guys want the image too, huh?
  13. I really don't know to say about this. It started off completely different, but this is the end result. I suck at LDD. LXF
  14. I actually really like the pre-infected form. Quite cute, and clips for whiskers are adorable. Good job maintaining visual consistency for his pre and post mutated forms. It is very recognizable as an alteration. The mutated form is very interesting as well, and finding something else to fit the brain slug is just tops. Excellent use of highlights as well, with his claws and spikes, and a nicely maintained Hero Factory aesthetic. Seems a bit simple at times, but that only furthers the look, so great job overall.
  15. Like several other entries, I'm having trouble getting a "Hero" vibe from this guy; it looks decidedly more in place in the BIONICLE universe than it does in the Hero Factory one. However, as an MoC, it's definitely a great one. Very intricate, even if that means there's a couple of exposed joints and panels and stuff. The toxic incorporation is top-notch, and extra Zamors in the back are very legit. Some of the diodes and horns and stuff seem a bit unnecessary, which is kind of sad, but it happens a lot these days. The Brain integration is also done excellently, which helps elevate this to standout; a lot of MoC's have just kind of slapped the brain on, but the near-flawless use of the Brain here is easily my favorite part.
  16. The tentacles seem pretty arbitrary, honestly =P. I definitely like the Thornaxx as a stinger tail, though I'd suggest swapping out the silver pieces for other colored ones, since they distract from the color scheme.
  17. Both of the individual MoC's are very nice, but there's not too much visual consistency between the two, so it's hard to classify it as a "before" and "after". However, the builds themselves are fairly similar, so at least there's that. I like the first one a bit better; much more colorful, and with a cooler head design. There might actually be too many colors, really; I like the teal, but it definitely sticks out more than it should. Also, I feel like it should have an actual stinger somewhere =P. The after MoC isn't bad either, but black and white aren't ultimately an interesting color combination at the best of times, and the lime green seems thrown in there pretty arbitrarily. It'd be nice to see more of the build (the Rocka shields make nice wings, but I think more of them might not go amiss to sell the "bug" theme) from different angles. The Brain, unfortunately, just kinda sits on top and doesn't incorporate into the design very well. I know that's a challenge, considering nothing is molded to the brains besides the beast faces, but I hope to see more integration of that, myself.
  18. That's sleeper cells in fiction, generally. Real world usage is just one that lies dormant for a certain period of time, waiting for the right set of circumstances or orders in order to start carrying out their goals.
  19. Even though I suck at LDD, seeing all these great creations has inspired me to at least give that a shot.
  20. I meant more in terms of the Daniel Rocka situation; for whatever reason, the DVD credits people were looking on wikipedia, so perhaps some S@H newbie coder (they are asking for new ones, after all) mixed up the names. Obviously a long shot, and not one I believe myself, but it doesn't hurt to discuss the possibilities. As for Bink, he's not really involved much in Hero Factory anymore, so I doubt he'd know much. I'll pass along some messages, see if he has anything to say, but I very much doubt it. Next time I (we, but whatever) have a chance to talk to Greg, I'll ask that one too, but if it is a future name, he might not be able to say anything (or even know about it in advance =P).
  21. Was helpful to me! Anyway, it's possible that it's a result of LEGOjang's name, indirectly. Daniel Rocka is more or less canon at this point (enough that I changed the page name on HS01 =P) so it's possible there was a mixup somewhere? The difference in names leads me to think otherwise, but anything is possible at this point. And, of course, there's also Worriz, and potentially a gorilla Chima name that's similar (I'm not really familiar enough with the story to know). Or, of course, it could just be some name confusion, like Vastus and Gresh, or Artidax, and this is a name for something in the future. Or or it could be nothing. Lots of options at this point, but it's an interesting find nonetheless. Although it could probably stand to just go in the Hero Factory topic =P.
  22. A very impressive MoC overall, but as some have said, not entirely a "Hero" MoC; a slapped on Hero Core does not a Hero make. However, that aside, it's a very impressive MoC. The weird limb shapes are probably my least favorite part; the bar-shaped stomach and the fat shins make him look a little weird, but it all works toward the aesthetic. The number of protrusions are also a little weird, but again, it works, especially on the monster side. Personally, I would have made the silver Hero side more streamlined, which defines a Hero appearance, usually. The half an half appearance is done very well here, which isn't something we've seen a lot of; the creeping black on his shoulder, especially, is nice, and a good use of Kanohi and other BIONICLE parts. Overall, something to further designate this guy as a Hero would have been cool, but it's a great MoC regardless. Also, no weapon? Seems like you could make a pretty sweet weapon for this guy.
  23. Impressive mashup of colors, and even more commendable for being entirely buildable with actual parts (though something tells me it'd be quite a strain on the eyes in real life =P). The shoulder mounted cannons are cool, but the overall build itself seems pretty close to Furno's, so not too much originality there. I like the shield layering; I didn't realize the the Hex Energy Shields paralleled the new Hero shield pieces like that, which is pretty nifty.
  24. Eh, seems more Magneto's colors, and yeah, it's still weird =P. I'm not sure how I'd feel if they were purple in the upcoming DoFP, but if I can deal with yellow jumpsuits, I can probably deal with purple sentinels. Haha, I would have zero frame of reference for that, since I'm not super into Ninjago. It's cool either way.
  25. Ah, the 2.0 helmet structure. I actually wish they had continued that, in more colors, it definitely seemed to match their style. The right hand design is very innovative, and a good use of system pieces. Overall he has some weird proportions, and the lack of waist detracts from the otherwise largely armored build. He also appears a bit gappy in places, a common problem with utilizing the cladding and limbs; if you could find a way to fill him in a bit, make him look more solid, it would go a long way in the overall look. Red and purple, as always, are a weird color choice, but since it's distributed fairly well, I'm not one to question it.
