  1. If you don't have it, how can you say it's lame? =P. He's generally regarded as the best of the winter wave. I'm a big fan, personally.
  2. Very cool! Ingenious use of the Scarox head as a crown. Gold and metallic blue, or whatever that color is, is an interesting choice as color schemes go, but I dig it.
  3. Amen on the elbow thing. I've been doing that since 2011 with any spare joints I can find, including Aquagon. I liked Aquagon as a set. Small, but to the point, and the face mask is legit, so I got everything I wanted from him.
  4. The site says they're valued at about 5 bucks, so presumably people would sell them for around 6 or 7 (and whatever shipping is most efficient) just to make a profit.
  5. Another tough one... 1 point Bonnie Crusher 1 point John Doe 1 point Hector Steelson XL
  6. Oh man, too many good entries. 1 point Marcus Fisher 1 point Gambrodon 1 Point Gorroz Spider
  7. 2 points Marshall Boyle, 1 point Helen Kernel.
  8. So, Aquagon is pretty cool, but darn if those brains aren't some tough plastic.
  9. Not super relevant, but it's an interesting new line.
  10. http://club.lego.com/en-us/insidescoop/hf-animations/# Just for you, broski. Makes it look like they've got the animations for the second wave ready to go as well, so hopefully that means we'll see a site update in the near future. Also, went to the LEGO store today. Alas, the promotions were not there, but I got Aquagon anyway just to get me to the VIP discount. The guy said they'd be in sometime within the next week, and that I could redeem my Aquagon purchase for one of the polybags if I showed them my receipt. Also gave me another polybag they had lying around for a completely different theme, just to be nice. I imagine I'll be returning there soon enough.
  11. Easy there, turbo. I'm probably going to go for Evo or Aquagon today myself, but we'll see. Might go higher end with Surge; his new build intrigues me.
  12. Ohay, new club update. Just a setup of the Dragon Bolt fight, but from the perspective of a certain news reporter. Sheds some more light on the dragon itself, which is nice (especially since I was just about to make a page for it on HS01 =P). Going to go to the LEGO store tomorrow, fingers crossed the black brain promotion is live!
  13. If there's one thing you can count on more than tardiness, it's people complaining about tardiness.
  14. Great use of the teal (or light azure, whatever the kids call it these days). The accents definitely make the thing pop, and trans-yellow doesn't fit in too bad either. Wish the arms could have been the teal, but I guess Thornraxx doesn't have enough of them.
  15. By the hammer of Thor! Definitely captures the right viking feel. Proportions are a little whack at times (skinny waist is kinda funky, and I'm not sure how I feel about the head below the viking helm) but it's just got a great feel to it.
  16. Meh, can't be helped I guess. Gives me more hope that they'll have some in stock by the time I actually get around to visiting the store.
  17. LXF File So, for the Chima raffle contest I started making Eglor's twin bike and it was really cool and then for some reason the file corrupted just before I was able to finish it and so I made this at the last minute instead. I took some liberties with the proportions, but at least it's on the right scale. And I think it's kind of neat, even if there are some gaping flaws.
  18. Thanks for the perspective, Bruce. I think it's more a case of a vocal minority, but we appreciate the input nonetheless.
  19. I suppose never is an exaggeration, but America is oft short on these promotions (exclusive piece or not). LEGO never seems to show any particular brand store favoritism in America, so that might be a reason for it; nobody gets them, as opposed to figuring out the logistics of one particular store. It's like collector's editions for video games.
  20. I figure it means as soon as the 17th is over. I'm going to try and maybe submit a Speedorz of my own, since my Eglor's Bike project went completely bust. I wasn't quite done, but almost... ah well, spilled milk and all that. Edit: Y'know, I'm actually coming up with a cool last-minute entry. It's nowhere near perfect, but I've enjoyed making it regardless. Nothing says productivity like a deadline. Edit2: Aaaaand here we are, constraction-scale version of Crawley's Claw Ripper: LXF File. Horribly last minute, but hopefully you guys will take it anyway.
  21. Honestly, America NEVER gets these types of promotions because they don't believe in this kind of thing, so the fact that we're getting it at all is an achievement in and of itself.
  22. For the record, that^ deserves an automatic first place. Regardless, I actually almost finished Eglor's Bike in action figure scale, but then the file corrupted and I lost everything, so... yeah, screw that. Maybe I'll toss in a last minute entry, who knows. I'm so done with LDD at this point.
  23. It automatically adds it to your cart, at least in the US store.
  24. This is definitely an inspired build, helped along by some fantastic photography. The face just sells it; using Kraata, Krana, and other assorted bits really just makes the perfect LEGO monkey face. The hands, too, are a clever take on creating the monkey look (as opposed to the typical Chima fingers). I don't recognize the piece used as feet, but it's cool usage nonetheless. All in all, a fantastic and creative interpretation, made all the sweeter but using barely any Hero Factory pieces.
  25. Well, some places in Europe did get it earlier, too (along with the sets earlier) so maybe you can ask your local store if they have plans on extending the promotion. Since the winter sets have been out for a bit anyway, they might have a surplus in the end as it is, and just deal out the polybag on a per-order basis.
