This topic is still alive? Lol. I don't mind the different multimedia approaches so much, it's fun to see what they come up with, although some things work better than others. A lot of the stuff this year kind of fell on its face a bit (the website is awful, the book series got axed, we stopped having comics) so I'm hoping they go back to what worked for them beforehand. Trying new things would be fine too; as long as they don't just stagnate and wait for the line to wither away, I'm fine.

I dunno, my patience seems to be doing okay.

Hey, at least more people can experience the game, right? Works for me. I don't play it all that much on iOS, but every now and again I'll load up a quick game.

Oh yeah, that. I pointedly don't pay attention to our podcasts :U Who knows, maybe I'll show up, steal all the prizes, and run away.

So I've learned a few things over the past few hours. 1. It's been far too long since I've built a decently sized LEGO set. 2. Those designers actually know what they're doing, so I don't mind ripping them for design flaws. 3. I absolutely hate stickers. So yeah, Jet Rocka's pretty sweet. Adjust the wings 90 degrees and you eliminate any problem the set might have. I'm slightly more impressed with Dragon Bolt though, just because flapping wings. Also, he looks much more menacing with a black brain, so I'm keeping him like that.

Mmmmmkay, Dragon Bolt is pretty legit. His tail is indeed a bit too stumpy, but that should be easy enough to fix. And his wing flapping function... glorious. At the 20 dollar (US) price point, he's a steal. On to Jet Rocka!

Whoop whoooop Jet Rocka and Dragon Bolt for my birthday. Haven't built either, but I'll get to that after a day of birthday shenanigans. Also got another accessory pack, because my parents are actually smart when it comes to buying LEGO, and a Galaxy Squad polybag (added to the free City one I got before, that's three, go figure) because they're good at my local store. Apparently the LEGO store heavily suggested Surge as a complement to Dragon Bolt to my parents, so I'll probably end up going to get him too.

Definitely a more BIONICLE-ish vibe coming from the Heroes, but the villains have a good aesthetic to them. The posing and scene staging is pretty cool, and definitely something LDD should be used for more.

Bart Smit is awesome half my childhood came from those stores don't knock 'em I'm surprised in general when people collect a full wave, but I did the same myself back in the day for BIONICLE, so I guess it isn't terribly surprising. I just can't muster up enough cash these days to get everything.

For the record, they have extended the black brain promotion until the end of august, at least for the US. Hopefully Europe gets that extension too. I'll definitely be getting at least a second one, now, if not a third.

Ah, ain't no thing. It was to see how well I could fare in LDD, which is not entirely well =P. I was more bummed I couldn't get anything from the Chima raffle, but I only have math to blame for that. And I got a cool tag, so that's definitely nice.

That WAS a good commercial, dang. Next year's special is gonna be legiiiit.

I think it might be some bizarre attempt at staggered releasing; they initially had empty sections but that were still accessible, and then yesterday they had just the set pictures and not these animated versions (which are stills). The recent Inside Scoop section featured the animations, so they clearly have them. It's just a matter of properly updating the website. I miss Bink's management (and he doesn't even work for LEGO anymore!).

Haha, nice. I'm going to end up with a second or third, most likely, but I don't even know what I'd do with them, honestly. But then again, they are very nice packs... Also yeah, what commercial/video/whatever? Any browser I try doesn't like it. The 2014 website has to be miles better than this.

He definitely meant the EB forums. The HF site actually has updated with the new sets, but it's horribly jumbled. I'm hoping for a re-do once we hit winter, this new site design was pretty bad.

Technically today is the deadline, but since they screwed up with scheduling, it's basically now a "we'll fork em over until we run out". The in-store advert didn't say anything besides "while supplies last".

Haha, finally got my accessory pack. The Black Brain is pretty darn sweet, I must say. I doubt they'll be running out any time soon, so I may go back for some more in the future.

So on the front page it says: Does that mean the participation prizes mentioned at the beginning are now raffled off, or is this even more awesome free stuff you guys have?

Ah, natch, a point winner but not a contest winner. Ah well (still holding out on the participation reward!), congrats to all the winners. Some fantastic entries all around (especially that G'Loona). The raffle style contest was certainly interesting. Personally, I prefer judged competitions over voting, but that's just me. A cool experiment, regardless.

I'm leaning towards winning the Chima raffle (yay?!?!?). I counted six, so either it's a set for everybody, or the original winning scheme plus some honorable mentions. Or maybe something entirely different, who knows? Also, lucky with the polybags. I'm going to try again tomorrow, see if they have their stock in. If not, I'll place a last-minute shop order.

Probably is. That does quite suck, unfortunately. I hope they adapt the story for future purposes; maybe we can see some online serials again? Also way to screw up the ordering schemes with the brain villains. Just don't make no seeeeeense. Edit: Also lolwut I have a chima badge what does it all meeeeeean

I like his overall look, it's very streamlined, and the wings sell it. But dat weapon... wasn't good on Pyrox, won't be good on Surge.
