I got a scan, and it's up on HS01. You're welcome :)
-
Figures, it's a leak anyway, regardless of "confidential" stamps. I hope we get more images in general, once the sets come out. We've had a definite shortage lately, and I'd love pictures of the monsters without the minifigs near them.
-
Finally got to see the comic. Art's pretty good. Not sure if I recognize the artist; Paul Lee, maybe? It's obviously not canon, but I'm willing to call it semi-canon if only for the fun dragon facts :U Also, Rocka seems to have some kind of gift with animals.

Transformer mechs pleeeease.

Huh, thought it was an oddly angled shield that he was holding face-down. Either way, I like this street-light concept (even if it is weirdly proportioned).
-
That's a bizarrely scaled streetlamp =P. Doesn't Jaw Beast have a shield, though? Edit: Also, Evo and Stormer appear to be the only ones with the attached communications device; some storyline purpose there, mayhaps?

No, we have long since established the Pacific Rim similarities =P. I was a bit skeptical at first when all we knew were the descriptions (I figured it was just another case of going to the next closest pop-culture reference) but the sets themselves definitely have a bit of that influence. Plus, the animation team for the episode next year also worked on Pacific Rim, so.

Oh, neat, final pics. Nothing particularly new, as it goes, not that we were expecting much. At first I thought the amount of sets was getting even smaller, but then I realized that it's missing two =P. Still digging the monster designs, although they have decidedly strange weapons; it'll be interesting to see the rationale behind what they are and why they have them. Maybe we can see some of these sets in-store by Christmas!

Probably not for a while? Not all the lines follow the same release schedule. Some specifically target the holiday season, while others just follow the standard "January-July" pattern.
-
Yeah, I saw a lo-res picture of it somewhere, but no scans, so I don't know what any of the info was. It looked pretty cool, and I'm hoping that the new comic is good too. Who drew the comic?
-
Man, all kinds of good stuff. Really hope I get my copy. I'd still like to know what was in the July-August issue, seeing as I didn't get my version of that.
-
Really? Cool! Hope I get my copy soon (if at all... sucks that they stopped doing digital comics, too =/). Got some scans, mayhaps? Edit: Speaking of scans, does anybody have some for the July-August one? Didn't that also feature Dragon Bolt?
-
I wonder if the monster heads will be printing or stickers...
-
The one that also appears in the dragon mech from Ninjago (and seems like a bit of a waste not to include claws on, but meh).
-
So they ARE transparent bones. Sweet! Hope we see more colors of that; I still have a dream of an all trans-orange hero.

The things I do for this brand... Now back to 2014!
-
The 2012 prototypes were markedly different from the final versions, but that's because they were actual prototypes, as opposed to preliminary renders, as Aanch said (most of the boxart at toyfairs tend to be prototype-ish). At this point, we won't see much of a construction difference, although new packaging art is pretty likely. And NO SUCH THING AS OVERBOARD Meso. It gives me a good reference point for what images are and are not available for sets once they get released. We've been getting less and less actual images disseminated by TLG since summer 2012; nowadays we're lucky to get anything beyond the standard boxart pose.

Obviously there's such a thing as hyperbole, but they are still blocky, awkward looking monsters with dopey expressions. And yeah, I guess they cross the line from constraction to brick-based, but considering what we see with HF now, that line is becoming less and less distinct =P.
-
Oh, don't be such a wet blanket. There's a surprising amount of detail here; I would have expected the blurry actual-photograph-of-catalog pictures before anything else.
-
It's terrifying how accurate this statement was.
-
Basically what I was expecting, which isn't to say bad. I definitely appreciate the level of artistry that went into it; it looks like a lot of creativity went into the designs. I'm not a huge fan of the demi-spider villains, but obviously I'll reserve judgement. I love the villain design in general, the head molds are quite awesome. And I think the story in particular is going to be really cool.
-
Shot in the dark: people will complain and whine about the pictures, gradually warm up the concepts and models, do an about face in both directions on two different models (one they thought they'd like was bad and one they thought they wouldn't is great), and enjoy the rest of the line. You heard it here first, folks.
-
Would be sweet. I imagine somebody will be able to decipher the build before too long, though. Pretty detailed in the vid.
-
Huh, the main site seems to have updated with a lot more videos, including that Mega Rocka one. Some of them ain't half bad.

Warms my heart to see people referencing HS01. Also reminds me to get off my lazy megablocks and update certain parts... ANYWAY. Yeah. Maybe Makuhero City is actually home to a race of supermonsters dwelling below the surface? Maybe that's why Makuro built it there in the first place? CONSPIRACIES WITHIN CONSPIRACIES? I'm exicted.
