  1. I have all of them from Sears Tower through Louvre, Flatiron is way more interesting than Rockefeller, and I don't even care for it. (The Burj is the worst, IMO.)
  2. Hmm... These are going to have to be awfully impressive to keep my interest. I thought Rockefeller Center was one of the weaker entries in the line, and this seems like it will just enhance the problems with scaling down so far.
  3. I've got a bunch of inverted tiles already on the way from BnP, I'll share here once I've added them to mine.
  4. I noticed on the initial demonstrator that the outer items rotated when the turntable did, but I couldn't tell if that was still occurring on the crane with the additional resistance. In other words, was the boom extending or the hook lowering just because the turntable was rotating?
  5. The trams are a bunch of different colors all on that same line. I've seen yellow, blue, red, green and others. It isn't like most transportation lines where the whole fleet is one color scheme. I love that darker green, I think the sets that use it the most pieces of it are the current MINI Cooper and the last Creator biplane. It would be awesome to get Technic panels and beams in it! Nice build, I recognized it instantly as the trams through Admiralty, Wan Chai and Central. (If I'm remembering my districts correctly)
  6. I just figure we know JJ Abrams is more than willing to lie about characters... Nah, Cumberbatch isn't playing Khan... and it's a nice simple explanation. Occam's Razor and all that.
  7. They've done that a few times. Mostly it seems to be people who (in TLG's words) abuse the free replacement system. Some people have claimed that they hadn't but... he said, she said, I guess. I hadn't seen it mentioned in the reviews, so I figured I'd ask. Good to hear, seems like something that may pop up in the film.
  8. Based on what we've heard about the January wave? No.
  9. There are old light grey levers out there for a lot cheaper than the LBG ones. There's someone on BL that sells them in a single superlot of 60, for a reasonable price, too. (That's the substitution I made)
  10. Yes. People sell instructions to MOCs. Some also give away instructions for free. Not sure if or how many people sell completed builds or bricks with MOC instructions. Look around the themes you like, and you may find folks who have made instructions for free. (I see them in Technic fairly often.) Some folks give away some instructions for free, but have others available for purchase. You just have to look around.
  11. So, anyone try to fit BB-8 into the storage space in Rey's speeder? I'm guessing it's too big. (I have the speeder, but not the droid)
  12. So... Can BB-8 fit inside the compartment inside the speeder if you take out the crate? I just finished mine, and I think the scale is pretty good. When seated, Rey's eyes are just barely above the windshield. I do wish there was a place to put her hair or turban when the other is on.
  13. I can't wait to see read Tommy's reaction. :)
  14. Architecture (I have all of them), Star Wars and Technic are the big three for me, but I've also got all but one of the Modulars, several Creator Expert and about half of the LEGO Movie line.
  15. They could probably re-release it completely as-is, but with updated figures... That would be a cost-effective update. 'course, they'd have to raise the price...
  16. Spoiler tags because my hunch might bother people.
  17. Call them. Ask what happened. Maybe you can get a clearer answer from a human. ...that, or maybe Disney doesn't like the idea you got it for free?
  18. This will likely get moved and merged. Look for it soon in our MASSIVE Star Wars LEGO subforum.
  19. Rey's Speeder found it's way to my house with my Louvre. Not sure how that happened.
  20. I think the mailbox is just about perfect for the tower. Sure, it's a little big, but if you stretch the length a bit, to be more in keeping with the right proportions, It sould work even better. As for the engines... what if you used 1x2 DBG plates and 1x2 trans blue tiles, centered on some SNOTted 1x2 or 2x2 DBG jumper plates? You can center the plate on the jumper and rotate to the correct angle.
  21. Not really. 30 years between events is a pretty simple explanation for different helmets.
  22. Has any discussion been made about how some characters names have... Alliterative qualities? I have a theory, but if it's been discussed to death already, I won't bring it up.
  23. Crawler was a 4X4 truck, not construction equipment. What were the sets with the RC buggy motors if not Technic?
  24. Huh? Two versions of the Crawler, and 8043 don't count?
