  1. No, I've just been around long enough to pick up an evil trick. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  2. You mean ass? ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  3. This is really great. The building is excellent. I can definitely visualize it as a part of tour contest entry build. Very well done! My only criticism would be the relative blandness of the yard (maybe a few green tiles or spare blades of grass would make it more interesting to look at) but otherwise the build is lovely! It's the story that I really loved. You've done such a great job at humanizing your characters! The little touches like Louise proudly sharing her collection of curse words, and the two of them vying for Raven's attention is very cute and realistic. I hope the best for this family! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  4. Nice work here! The story is quite funny, and the build is nice. The landscaping is realistically messy lookinh, and the Kawashita radar is nice (thought it was Octan, though. Might have benefited from more Grey and less white. ) ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  5. I'll second that. It looks like the dragon is trying to hold in a fart. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  6. Thanks! I wanted to do an alternating yellow and bley pattern there but couldn't find my 4th yellow ladder. Turned out well nonetheless. Thanks! Glad you agree! It's builds like these that I really enjoy. World building ones. Sure ships and action shots are fun, but I want to explore and flesh out these world's too with my builds. Thanks! The question posed is, whether manmade development is winning, or the nature. Thanks, the judges! You're welcome to it! I imagine roads like this grid Farmolis. I get an "American Midwest vibe, with overpasses, canals, grid-roads, and corn fields, juxtaposed with big industry vibe from the description. Thanks! It was time consuming getting those tiles in place! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  7. This is exquisite! I adore foliage parts in different colours! I hope I can get a good quantity of this! Anyone know what set it'll be in? ~Insectoid Aristocrat

It's funny because I just told someone else that....

  9. Sorry to see you picked the wrong corporation, but, welcome to AG nonetheless, Yseult! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  10. Man, I can't tell which is awesomer, the Hangar, the Bot, or the story developments! Truly everything is on point. The shaping in the bot is awesome! Just as threatening as the ship last week, and the Tyrant from the week prior. I think it's kind-of your style at this point, and it's great! The hangar is a wonderful! A realistically messy and grey well-detailed setpiece. And the story developments are great too! The characters are interesting, and I can't wait to see what secrets that data chip holds! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  11. Oh, I see what you mean. There I was confusing plate and tile. Great to see that piece in bley! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  12. Is this a new piece? Sounds super useful for snot! Any pictures, or should we wait for a review? ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  13. Thanks for the feedback Soccerkid! I really love that Alien design! Also, better pictures are up, as is an additional little bit of dialogue I had planned. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  14. Alright! Not to worry! A lot of us have been using up sick days!... even the vitriolic workahaulic Dr. Long! I can't quite recall when your last build was, but feel free to ask any questions you may have in our super-secret chat! Wouldn't want Mantis or Kawa listening in, now would we. Welcome back! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  15. I was, but I appreciate both replies! Thanks for answering my question CM4Sci. Not as unique as the Ninjago battlebacks villains, it would appear, but I still have to get one. And thanks, Lyichir. I didn't know that! I was planning on getting a few of those, and that's just more incentive! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  16. Tags: Civil Building, Science Planet: Onix //"This is Dr. Martenz contacting the O.C.S. Axle. Please Direct me to Dr. Long's office."// DrMartenz by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr Catching up with Odus by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr Odus: "This is Dr. Long's Office, Odus Dillberg speaking." Dr. Martenz: "Hi. Look, I've got a very tight schedule, so I'm going to make this quick. Transfer me directly to Dr. Long. This is Dr. Martenz, from pathology, and I urgently need to speak with her." Odus: "Ooh. Sorry, I'm afraid that's simply not possible." Dr. Martenz: "What?!" Odus: "Yeah. She's on sabbatical at the moment. I'm currently managing the administrative side of things on the Axle, and Dr. Black is running the sciency stuff." Dr. Martenz: "Kodan Black?!" Odus: "Yeah, that's the one! Fine chap, very nice." Dr. Martenz: "... Kodan... Black?" Odus: "Yep!" Dr. Martenz: "Ok. Ha ha. Now please, transfer me to Dr. Long. I know she doesn't take sabbaticals. She's never missed a day of work in her life. I understand she's a busy woman, and she's probably in some meeting, but please don't disrespect me." Catching up with Odus by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr Odus: "Huh? I'm being super serious right now. Dr. Long has been on leave for months now. She was... uh.. Well, I guess I'm not supposed to say why, but there was an incident, and, well, she hasn't been able to come to work." Dr. Martenz: "Great Scott! You're serious! And... That Kodan thing is serious too?! Great Scott!.. I should'ave been nicer to the kid. When's she coming back?" Odus: "Should be pretty soon. I just heard back from her doctor that... oops. Shouldn't've said that! Soon." Dr. Martenz: "No kidding. Well. I'd like to leave her a message then. Tell her that I'm calling in a solid 'you-owe-me.'" Catching up with Odus by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr Dr. Martenz "I need more people on the ground here. The Oni-Ren are making a pathology report on Onix damn-near impossible. They won't let me anywhere near their settlements. This is made even more frustrating by the fact that they are currently dealing with an epidemic of something they refer to as 'Black-Eye.' " If I had more men... possibly some peace-keeping troops, I could conduct my report with far greater efficiency... and hell... we might even profit by selling them vaccines for their illness. Please convey my message to Dr. Long as soon as she gets back... I don't know how much longer I can do this all by myself and with these stupid interns I keep getting sent. Seems like they all outrank me in a year anyways. [inaudible grumbling noises]" Catching up with Odus by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr Odus: "Ok, I'll let her know. Is there anything else I can help you with?" Dr. Martenz: "No, that'll be all. Thank you. Dr. Martenz out." Catching up with Odus by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr Robotic voice: "You have _27_ calls waiting on hold." Odus: "Oh bother. There's just so much work to be done. How ever did Danielle manage so much!?" Robotic voice: "You have _28_ calls waiting on hold." Odus: "What would Dr. Long do? Oh! I know! I'll consult the Dr. Long AI!" Hello Holo-Long! by Danny-Longlegs, on Flickr Odus: "Dr. Holo-Long, I've been answering phone calls all morning! My other desk is piled full of paperwork so high I can't even work there! All the other Secretaries are all swamped just like me! What ever should I do?!" Holo-Long: "Get back to work." Odus: "Ok, boss!" _____________________________________________________________________________ Anyways, More updates on affairs without the good doctor. Please keep in mind that I am very open to constructive criticism. I'm not entirely satisfied with how my surface-of-Onix build looks. I was aiming for a rocky landscape without Lava (because there can't be Lava on every square inch of the planet) and I tried to incorporate some elements from previous builds on Onix (Kai's green biomass crystals, Black and dark grey rocks) along with some of my own (Nugget moss/fungus, dark tan soil/moss) but I worry I may have gone too many places all in the confines of one very small build. Tell me what you think, Edit: also the picture is not flattering. Also, for those of you wondering why so many builds without Long, well, I'm setting things up. This, for instance, is setting up a story arch I have planned. Stay tuned for "The Invasive Species" Coming in like 3 weeks. ~Insectoid Aristcorat
  17. Nice job! Very in keeping with the classic style! I too prefer to build with an "adult beverage" or two. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  18. I love how non-combative your builds are! Showing the good side of everyone, Mantis, and Alien, and Octan alike all in your own funny (but not ostentatious) way! It's peaceful. can't help but think your character wears rose-coloured contacts... or maybe he's just a nice guy and therefor the world around him is nice. It's certainly a departure from Dr. Long's world of science. Lovely build this week! The platform is interesting to look at and the ships are quite nive. Not sure how I feel about the bright white piece on the Mantis ship, but hey, he did say it was nonstandard. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  19. Awesome speeder! Looks like all of Kawa's adversaries are teaming up! great job on the brick seperator npu, and awesome pun. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  20. Awesome build! Great idea combining your maze build and AG Build! also, sorry I fell through on our colab idea from before my hiatus. You've done great on your story! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  21. Haha! Awesome build! Funny story and a wonderful rendition of Spyrius' largest flying craft! Always great to see modern takes on the classics! Great work! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  22. This is a really fantastic build! The speeder is delectable! It's shape and greeley are all very much on point! And the enemy ship is exquisite! The threatening pose lends it a sort-of gargoyle-esqueness. It looks like it's perched and ready to strike! Really lovely work. And the story is great too! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  23. Awesome ships and awesome story! I especially like the shaping on both of them! Very interesting and appealing designs! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  24. Awesome speeder and fun story! Great job Pombe! Keep up the good work! ~Insectoid Aristocrat
  25. Lovely little build! As always, your builds are elegant and inventive! Can't wait to see where this series leads. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
