4 pages in about 4 hours! My god you people are like talk-machines! I went and did the rounds again, so here are my current thoughts, keep in mind, I may quote some old posts (made, you know, 3 hours ago. ) I don't know how many times it's been said, or needs to be said, but unless the format of the game is really strange, and we have somesort of mid-day detective, There are no facts on day 1. Period. And, second of all, pointing our fingers at the faces of others is our only weapon at this point! We can only guage someone's reaction to being suspected, by making it known that we suspect them! Telling us to stop pointing our fingers at others is like telling us to stop trying to find the scum. I find this post pretty scummy. Also, I don't think a Townie would have any real reason to fear a night kill (unless that townie has made him or herself particularly useful, which you have not.) Excuse me if I'm wrong, but this looks allot like you're buddying up to Scubba. A. I'm pretty sure it is. When appealing to logic is not an option, because you have no benificial logical answer for your actions, you only can appeal to emotions. And B. He's an NPC. He's the only one who has any facts. Well, if your behavior (ie: Giving up before anyone has even voted) is not due to inexperience, then due to scummyness is really the only alternative (either that or you want to die.) I don't remember who pointed it out, but you really only show up and make inane comments that don't really help us get any farther in achieving our goals. It looks like your just trying to make yourself look helpful. Oh, my bad, I didn't know you were refering to that. Well, it's not unusual for us to have a night kill too (Masked Builder ) You still gave it a bit too much attention than it deserved. It would make plenty of sense if we were fingering the right person for the scum to want us all to slow down and look the other way. Refer to the above.

I'm not sure you understand why I'm suspicious of him. It's not that he knows much, it's that he jumps to unnatural conclusions from unrelated talk (his talk about a vig makes me wonder if he is a member of the third party trying to avoid suspicion by sounding ignorant, or a member of the Purists trying to get a reaction from the vig, and hinder our attempts to piece things together.) No offence, but this does sound a bit like a scummy, or at least nooby attempt to avoid suspicion. Agreed! (I'm out of time, I''l come back latter to add to my thoughts.)

Heroica RPG - Quest#25: Imbuing the Sword
Dannylonglegs replied to Bricksandparts's topic in The Heroica Archive
"See Durkonna, There's more than one way to make someone talk."Says Sylph to the gangly girl. "Thank you very much, Mr. Bones. I'm glad you listen to reason. I'd be glad to provide you with the items you request." Sylph hands him 8 bones, a tonic, and a remedy. "I'm sure my partners would be willing to part with some of their own items as well. In the meantime, I'm going to take a seat." -
Wow, allot has transpired since I checked in this morning! Jeez you people can talk! I only know something that the rest of us don't if the rest of us didn't read the the opening. "I'm ordering you to vote off whoever you think is a member of this cult." said Bob. After having reviewed what's been said, I gotta say, this post looks really suspicious. You seem to jump to a pretty strange conclusion from talk of there being more than one enemy faction. The opening rules state: "keep on the look out for other factions." I don't know about you, but "keep on the look out" sounds a bit ominous, and not at all like they're referring to a faction that wants to help us, let alone a town night kill. Furthermore, your talk of singling out and killing the vig seems strange and unnecessary. You're right about baseless accusations, but I for one don't think talk about the potential for another scum faction is pointless. Actually, it's pretty useful, I think. A. It's a good discussion starter, and B. There's much to pick up from what people say about these factions (and who denies them, and who doesn't say anything about them.) Tomorrow we'll start with a lead if we discover the presence of another faction during the night, and we've already discussed that possibility. I see absolutely no harm, and allot to gain from talking about the potential for there being more than one scum team I agree, although I don't know what you meant by any of that last stuff (snipped). It looks, to me at least, like Mandel's really forcing his 'helpfullness.' You said it pretty well yourself. His behavior is certainly raising my suspicions.

Poorly, I imagine. Just a moment ago, you postulated that the janitor was actually the Scum Janitor? Really? There's a one in a million chance that there's even a janitor in the game (especially after how well that went over last game, and the host's suggestion that there may be multiple factions), let alone that the janitor is actually a janitor. (wow, that's confusing). If you didn't make it a habit of joking around, I'd suspect you of being scummy for pointing your finger at everybody for totally irrelevant character details. If you want to catch the scum, focus on how people are acting, and what they're saying. Look for those of us who don't seem to be trying to help us find the scum.

Day one is up?! It must be my birthday! Oh, wait. It is! ~Insectoid Aristocrat -
Of course we're going into space! No cultists can stop the will of man to boldly go were none have gone before! We need to concentrate on finding out who among us belongs to this treacherous group, and any other groups that are trying to hold us back from achieving our manifest destiny!

Ah, I see someone else values freedom! While homemade Explosives are outlawed in all but two nations southside (and punishable by death or re-indoctrination), I see the ancient art of arsony is still in good practice up here. -

Hmmm. Well that might be a problem. I don't have enough gum to make up for a lack of toothbrushes. And this stuff is expensive! It's meant for special occasions, like lift off, or finding a new planet! -

I believe he was refering to the toothbrush, sir. But if y'all wanna chew something, I got my hands on some fine, high-quality, imported, Cuban chewing-gum. Gum may be outlawed in three of the nations down on earth, but up here in the final frontier, there's no law against it. (And I know the law. As a security guard it's my sworn duty to protect it.) -

"I don't know what Hoke thinks you should or shouldn't do, but everyone wants something. I want you to help us get some Spirit Fog. I'm sure it's not too arduous... What do you want?" Sylph asks the Undead coolly. -

"Useless" Remarks Sylph disdainfully. He puts the leaves and seedpod back in his bag and meets up it Erdy. "Any luck?" -

"Oh Nature" States Sylph in an annoyed and slightly repulsed fashion. "Sir, I'm sorry that you are inebriated at the moment, but I'm on a tight schedule." Sylph reaches into his bag and takes out a cylindrical leaf and a seed pod. "Chew these," He commands. "They should make you a bit less groggy, and maybe do something for the headache I imagine you'll incur tomorrow morning. Once you've begun chewing, would you please tell me if you know anything about 'Spirit Fog.'" -

"Good call Durkon." Says Sylph as Drurkonette makes girl-talk with the Bartender. Sylph approaches the man who is sitting alone who looks like he might be a sailor. "Good evening sir. Would you happen to know anything about Spirit Fog?" -

"Spirit Fog. Do you know where and how one can obtain Spirit fog, sir?" -
OOoooooh! Me! I want tags and things! While I don't make nearly as many Mocs as I'd like to (it's because my lego room's in shambles right now and I'm too busy to do much about it, but my cat has gotten very busy in that room and thinks it's his litterbox... ) But I'll definitely contribute to this! I find Friends Mocs very entertaining and have been hoping to make a Friends/sci-fi mash-up Moc for a while, and this is plenty incentive! I don't know what I'll do yet, but I sure as heck will do something. Vive la Sci-Fri! ~Insectoid Friend

Sylph felt around the fog in search of anything particularly special about any of it, but found nothing. he then got the idea that someone in the village might be able to help. He first looked for a graveyard keeper, and if he didn't find one he decided that the town square might hold the answers the group needed. -

"Yes, Farewell my Friend. I hope to see you again sometime. Say hi to Sam for me if you see him again." Spoke Sylph as he left the presence of the Guildsman, secretly hoping to get a good reputation with The Guild for having revived Johnson and his crew and for having set things straight with Sam over the ownership of the dungeon's basement. Sauntering up to the graveyard's fence, Sylph sighed relaxedly. "Ahh, the fog is so refreshing. I am not a friend of the baking heat that comes with sea travel. Now that we are here, we should search for Spirit Fog and obtain some so that we may finish our quest."
