Jedi Temple Mafia - Day Five
Dannylonglegs replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, that settles it. I don't think we should wait any longer. If Voolvif was going to make a convincing argument in his own defence, he would have done it by now. Instead, he's asked us why we think he's scummy. Let me tell you why! You have not participated in our attempts to root out the scum. You lurk by every day, summing up what's been said, and then voting when others vote. Your vote also, always falls around the middle, which isn't scummy in and of itself, but in tandum with your lack of participation, makes me believe that you are scum. Furthermore, your posts hardly analyze anything. You essentially repeat what's been said and then ask "What do you think?" or something to that effect. And I'll tell you why you don't work hard to find all the scum: Because you already know who they are because you are one. You've got my vote. Vote: Volviff Monn (JackJonespaw) Obi wan also gave me his vote to handle. In private, he told me this. (Note: only what I feel is important to the matter at hand is shown. There are several other PMs that say similar things, but I chose this one because I could isolate the talk about Monn easily) He and I have spoken, and we both feel that Volviff Monn is a bad egg. He would (and will when he gets back) approve of my choice for his Proxy Vote. Proxy Vote for Obi Wan Kenobi(Palathadric): Vote: Volviff Monn (JackJonespaw) -

While I'm glad you're now turning your attention to someone who, at least in my mind, seems actually Scummy, You're argument against Coryn still seems, at least, unthought-through. Can the scum kill and convert on the same night? I think not! Never before have I heard of such an occurance. The only time the scum could have converted him was night one, before he came out with the info regarding Ssiht's investigation results. So that doesn't explain things nicely. -

Starting with this one? There's plenty to defend yourself against without me mentioning every post you've made thus far. In every post, you essentially just sum up what's been said and pass it off as your own opinion. You don't add anything to the conversation and you're ambivalent about everything. Furthermore, this is the first time I remember that you've actually acknowledged that you've been FoSed. You look like you're trying to lie low. -

I believe so. Shaak ti's sudden argument was indeed very distracting from the lynch of Monn we were discussing, but there is the possibility of bad timing. If he turns up scum then it's possible she was trying to shift the vote away, and also, if he's scum, Coryn, unless he likes playing gambits which threaten his win, is likely town. If Monn's town that doesn't necessarily mean Shaak ti's definitely town, and there's still the possibility that the attack on Coryn had nothing to do with Monn, and she's just targeting a major town rallying point that couldn't be killed at night because of his constant protection. I'm not certain about Shaak Ti yet, but if Monn turns out Sith, She's on my FoS list. I am honoured to accept your proxy vote Master Kenobi. I shall use it wisely. I hardly think we'll get nothing out of Lynching Monn. Here's my argument against Monn And it stands. He has done nothing to prove me wrong. He didn't even address my accusation, so I will FoS: Voolvif Monn (JackJonespaw) one more time before I vote for him. Yeah, that was my initial reaction to Euna's Townyness. I've since changed my mind and I agree with you. My biggest concern with Ti's argument is the quote you mentioned Ithra. It would make no sense for Coryn to janitor C-3PO if he was Scum. It would have been understandable if he showed up Town. We all make mistakes, but now that there's an aura of mystery surrounding C-3PO's death, everything's up in question. We could be erroneously trustful that Coryn made a mistake, but instead We can't trust anything. It all works against him rather than for him. -

"Hmm, well now we've got a conundrum. Do we finish looking around the dungeon or do we investigate the cave. Maybe that bat could tell you what's in the cave Erdy?" Sylph's own bat stirs in his robes. "You don't see much action, do you girl?" He mutters to his bat, who curls up and returns to sleep. "Soon I'll be able to talk to you again... My power is growing." -

I agree. As I pointed out earlier, Monn has been acting scummy this whole time, and this whole Coryn argument is just a distraction from the object at hand: Monn. -

No. I took that quote from early in the day. before voting opened actually. They would have had plenty of time for throwing ruckus before the day ended at which point they would have been killed off. Also, remember that the quote is from day 3. The following night, the investigator and Zakura died. Neither of those two, as far as we know, was the town protector. Zakura had another nickname anyways: Zane. I don't see how any of what he's said has contributed to confusion. Also, the conversion theory was not unlikely, especially given how much he supposedly knew at the time. He said to me at the time that he didn't think the protector protected anyone who had been targeted, and we now know that he knew there was no blocker. Aside from the possibility that the scum took no action, a conversion was more than likely. Please. Agreeing with him doesn't mean I'm echoing! I've contributed plenty of new points and opinions to the discussion, and I've been openly trying to help us take down the scum! Besides, I know I'm Town. I don't know for sure about Coryn. I believe, now more that earlier today, very strongly that he is Town, but that doesn't mean that if he's scum, I am! However, if by echoing you mean quoting him and providing my replies, that's just a preference thing. He tends to write out nice, organized posts that are easy to respond to, which makes my posting easier, but I don't only quote him! I hate to say it, but a certain amount of secrecy is a tactical advantage in these games. I'm happy he kept that knowledge from the scum until now, but as Nahdar said, the Scum knew that the blocker hadn't been doing a good job at least. Wrong. As I said, even if Coryn's Scum, which I highly doubt, I'm not. If anything, Coryn's a distraction from Voolvif. He was on the table before you came out with your theory. -

I couldn't find yours quickly, and I don't have much time to do so now, but Ti did mention how that adds to her suspicions (Why, I still can't tell ) Not arguing. One point Ti raised earlier, that I agreed with, was that his use of emotions was pretty flagrant and therefore suspicious. I just now said that I don't think his use was unusual because he has always used them allot. Understand? Hmm. I might have misread the quote I quoted then. Either way, the point I was making is that he does know the protector, and no one else counterclaimed, or showed initiative to lynch him once he 'claimed' he knew the protector (indicating they knew he was lying.) -

I'm not quite sure why the SK working with the scum incriminates Coryn. It is a possibility, but he was the one who came out with the info in the first place. You'd think a scum would try and cast doubt on the investigation results instead of stating them in a gungho manner and insisting we Lynch Ssith. Also, as a side note, after going back (in my memories) to day two, I realized that the flagrant use of emotion (emoticons) is not only reserved for when he lynches a jedi. I don't. I believe he told me this on day three: Obviously, it's not a closely guarded secret that he's got protection and we've known he knows the protector... and the blocker since at least day 3. Don't you think there would be a bit of an upheaval from the real protector and blocker if he was lying? As far as we know both of these two are still alive. -

I concur. Monn's posts have increased since day one and he is firmly in the range of 'posting to avoid suspicion.' I find it probable that his behavior is an effort to lay low. She comes on every now and then and doesn't post anything (but that could be because she doesn't think she has the time to contribute. ) I agree that if she was scum, someone would have really told her to SPEAK UP! It's noticeable and suspicious how little she talks. -

Well, it's interesting that this whole kerfuffle between Vebb and Oki resolved so smoothly. I expected Vebb to engage in a lengthy rant. So, having looked at both of the PM lists (well, at least obi's and the 'important stuff' from Vebb's) It seems like either a mis-communication from R2 to Nahdar, or a tricky attempt to find out if Obi claimed anything other than Vanilla or to gauge Nahdar's alignment. He told me in PM that his theory about either Nahdar or Fisto being the SK was mostly to "see what happens." He made several like attempts to get a feel for who was what, so I wouldn't put it past him, and I don't think Obi would have had any reason at all to lie to him even if he was scum. The only reason I could think of to account for him editing/omitting one of the PMs he posted is that he did claim and doesn't want the scum to know that he has a role/what it is, but I doubt that. One of you could still be lying, but I don't think it's as pressing an issue anymore now that it's resolved. Yes, that's what happened. I thought it would be really important, but now that the PM's are out, it looks like it could be a misunderstanding. Well, that's the only reason I can see for why the SK is toting a black blaster now. The force is indeed out of balance. Yes allot of people where rightfully suspicious of you when we couldn't see if you were leading us correctly or incorrectly. That, coupled with the number of 'inconvenient occurrences' that followed the Lynching of C-3PO made many skeptical. I believe it was he who suggested it, but there were many reasons to suspect her as I laid out yesterday, compounded by her scummy actions. Nahdar's theory was really just icing on the 'reasons to Lynch her' cake. I gotta say, I understand what she's talking about. The amount of emotion ( a la ) in your posts seems a bit forced, even over-compensatory. You told me that too. How many others have you told that too? Hopefully I'm not the only one, because I'm thinking, someone you told that to is scum... Unless you're scum! Now, on the subject of Volvif: Yes, He has only been doing the bare minimum in terms of participation. Every day he is FoSed by someone and he hardly ever responds. He follows the basic trends of the day and posts every now and then barely a paragraph, which is mostly all recap. From experiences in the archives, I can tell you, that is how a beginner scum/SK acts. Agreed. FoS: Voolvif Monn (JackJonespaw) -

Sure: That about sums it up. Someone's lying. Vebb may have lied to lynch Obi, who he believes to have a role in which case, he might be scum or the SK, or Obi may be lying about not claiming a role in which case he might be scum or the SK. One of these force users is not like the others, one of these force users does not belong... Also, I agree with what Vebb said about the SK. I refuse to believe the scum could attack and convert on the same night, so the SK was likely converted to the Scum because the shrink died and he can't be cured. Yesterday I thought that the change in MO might have just been cosmetic, but now it looks like a trend, and we mustn't ignore trends. I'm just surprised that the scum get two night kills and we get none. -

Urggggh. Euna was so bloody scummy yesterday. I was unsure, with just a few suspicions, until she started talking. As soon as she started talking I was convinced she was scum. Why!? I don't have much time right now, but I'm suspicious of Volvif Mon. He avoided suspicion yesterday, and the day before because we were concentrating on Coryn's ( ) suspicions. C-3PO was probably innocent I think. The scum probably have a framer. Of course, Coryn could be scum, but the more I think about it, the more I think his logic was flawed. There's also Soesty, who R2 was targeting yesterday in public and PM. It's been suggested to me that there might be a reason to keep her alive, but he/she who suggested that to me didn't give me a reason. I still I don't trust her, and it could be that Rz was piecing together the puzzle in regards to her. And, Obi wan. I'm not sure about you. I was suspicious of you yesterday because you suggested that Euna could have been framed by the previous night's kill, but since she turned up town, I'm not as suspicious of you any more. This quiff between you and Nahdar however changes things. I could honestly see either of you being scum, and to me it looks like one of you has to be for lying, unless A. One of you is confused or a whisper down the lanes type thing happened, or C. One of you is the SK. R2 seemed to think that Nahdar or fisto could have been the SK, so that's always a possibility. Either way, something fishy is going on between Obi and Vebb. -
Well, you're Finish, so I can see how that's not the first thing to pop into your mind, but I doubt any American United Statesian will look at that and think... "Hey, Mayan mythology!" I do commend you on your reference though! I just thought you were making a comment on violent race driven movements. Also, it kind of surprised me that you'd make the oppressed the KKK as opposed to the other way around, but that's obviously not what you were going for. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
