  1. Jaw-droppingly awesome entry Siercon! Every bit of detail of this wonderful build is a beauty to behold - the temple ruins, the exotic-looking plant life, and the trans-green base really makes for an effective swamp water. Truly a very impressive job!
  2. Wow, you have done it again ISC! I'm lovin' that giant trans-jelly fish, the base build looks great too with that mini-rock arch formation and the surrounding aquatic plant-life. Excellent work as always mate!
  3. I actually challenged you in the last page, it just got lost in this whole "Captain Tamamono-ceroknight never-ending duel". So who'd like to adjudicate for us?
  4. You guys don't get tired of each other's faces huh? Good thing I don't get tired of adjudicating for both of you. Send your DSs my way (for the 4th time).
  5. I guess the better differentiation would have been purist builders vs. experimental builders. I am definitely of the latter type, and LEGO painting is one of those 'out-of-the-box' / 'pushing-the boundaries' practices that non-purist builders like me do. What I personally don't like is such practices being frowned upon by the so-called majority, treating painted MOCs like some sort of second-class creations.
  6. Prince of Egypt - a nice significantly-shortened cartoon version of the 3 hour+ 'original' Ten Commandments movie.
  7. Gryffindor Student Clen Vierno versus Ravenclaw Practitioner Kestrel Kingfisher Round 3 Clen Vierno l 1 ____________________________Kestrel Kingfisher l 3 Low - 0_______________________________________Stupefy! - 1 Protego! - 0 ___________________________________High - 0 High - 0_______________________________________Protego! - 0 Silencio! - 0____________________________________Low - 1 Mid - 0 _______________________________________Mid - 0 Health: 0 (-1)_________________________________Health: 3 Ravenclaw Kestrel Kingfisher has had enough of this duel, and in one swift motion he unleashes a lightinng-quick and stunning Stupefy that knocks the powerless Gryffindor to the ground, finally ending this long-standing match. After seven consecutive intensely-fought rounds, this heated duel is finally over, and Kestrel Kingfisher emerges victorious yet again. Winner: Kestrel Kingfisher! Congratulations Captain Tamamono! Your winning streak is alive. Tough luck ceroknight, you have shown tremendous resiliency, shame your first win still eludes you. You may now update your character profiles accordingly.
  8. How about Ms. Fabray? It's been a while since we've last dueled.
  9. Very nice start on your town layout Capt. Stabbin, I really like your neighborhood of houses so far - simple yet very effective design, the colorfulness looks very Caribbean-ish. Good job so far and looking forward how this one will develop.
  10. I agree, and if I assume correctly, this isn't intended to be minifig-scale with playable features, but a UCS model specifically made for display purposes (like the other UCS works of Anio).
  11. Nice and simple build TSTB, I initially thought the external design was a bit conservatively bare, but the reference material is exactly like that, so you got points for accuracy there.
  12. I really like the use of those windshield pieces, though I agree the whole vehicle is a bit too long, but I know you could easily improve it just by simply reducing the length by 2-3 studs (make the side of the window 1 stud only instead of 2, then reduce the length of the back by 2 more studs). Still, nice work on this one Spike!
  13. designholic, you're comic photos never fail to amaze and make me laugh at the same time!
  14. That's one mean-looking Mech alright, I love the unique combination of the mechanical design and the organic-like tentacles/arms. The technic mechanism of the legs are very well-conceived and -built too. Great build Sieg!
  15. Excellent entry Sandy! I'm lovin' the high playability of this transforming pyramid, and this is something I could really see as a potential set. Great job on the description text too. Best of luck in the contest!
  16. Sorry I should've worded my post better, what I meant was the angles of the body plates are very accurate, as well as the greebles at the bottom (beside the wheels).
  17. I love the classic M:Tron color scheme, and the design is great as always featuring some pretty clever parts usage. Very well done once again -zenn!
  18. I love this Hoth set-up, my most favorite among the three that was reviewed. I agree the whole presentation looks very good when viewed as a whole and without focusing/scrutinizing the models too much. Once again, thanks for sharing CopMike!
  19. Excellent entry Cecilie! Now that's a complete training temple! Total enclosure and fully-furnished with the required training equipment/modules (which reminds me of Kung Fu Panda ). Great job and best of luck!
  20. Breath-takingly awesome! What a highly-sophisticated and effectively-looking futuristic build Rook! Gotta take some time to look at every detail of this massive creation. Simply a fantastic work once again!
  21. Another great batch of LDD MOCs Gunner! What I really like about your designs is how you were able to achieve the distinct color prints using some pretty clever techniques. The Separatist Fleet are very well done, much better than the Republic Fleet IMO (which are also good).
  22. Gryffindor Student Clen Vierno versus Ravenclaw Practitioner Kestrel Kingfisher Round 2 Clen Vierno l 2 ____________________________Kestrel Kingfisher l 5 Protego! - 0___________________________________Stupefy! - 0 Low - 1 ______________________________________Mid - 0 High - 0______________________________________Protego! - 0 Mid - 1______________________________________High - 0 Mid - 0 ______________________________________Low - 1 Health: 1_____________________________________Health: 3 After a nightmarish start, Gryffindor Clen Vierno looks to bounce back in the second round, but it looks like Kestrel wouldn't allow it as he unleashes his powerful Stupefy, but the student escapes the attack with a timely shield charm. The Ravenclaw continues to be on the offensive and aims at his opponent's torso, though Clen is quicker to the draw and sweeps the practitioner off his feet before he could even cast his spell. With his rival downed, the Gryffindor follows-up with a head shot, but Kestrel successfully blocks with a Protego. In the next sequence, Clen finds an opening in the Ravenclaw's defense and hits him in the body. Kestrel furiously retaliates with a low spell that knocks the student to the ground, maintaining a significant, but unsafe, lead over his opponent as the round ends. Showing yet again impressive resiliency, Clen manages to stay alive and reduce Kestrel's lead, but he needs more of it in the next round if he wants to win this duel. Send in your Round 3 DSs when ready.
  23. Yes I have, and quite a few times already in my past MOCs. I know most purist builders might not agree with this technique, but it provides me the quick and easy solution for parts that do not exist in a certain color. And at the end of the day what matter is if you're happy with the end result, and in my case, I am. Here are a few examples where I used some custom-painted parts. I use spray-paint for a more consistent result. The non-purist MOCer in me doesn't think so. Of course it really depends on what type of builder one is: old-school or new generation.
  24. Lovely new skin... I knew this 'Flower Power' banner is the beautiful creation of none other than Hinckley, great job!
  25. Very impressive stuff def! Seeing your great artworks makes me wanna contribute my own too, I have lots of cartoon and anime handsketches I made some years ago (drawing/sketching is one of my hobbies back then), but sadly I left it in my childhood home back in the province. I might have to get them one of these days so I could share them here. For now, I hope to see more creative stuff from other artistic members.
