Haha, I thought you had a change in 'career' and suddenly became an Architecture MOCer. The shot does put a great perspective on the size of your Imperial Shuttle relative to the equally impressive Westminster Abbey build. Perfect timing too!

Hufflepuff Magus Frankfurt Flashburn versus Ravenclaw Adept Kestrel Kingfisher Round 2 Frankfurt Flashburn l 4 _____________________Kestrel Kingfisher l 4 Low - 0_____________________________________ Expelliarmus! - 0 Expelliarmus! - 0 ______________________________Stupefy! - 0 High - 1______________________________________Low - 0 Mid - 1_______________________________________High - 0 Stupefy! - 0 __________________________________Protego! - 0 Health: 4_____________________________________Health: 2 After a very intense and closely-fought opening round, the two duelists look to grab the advantage in their favor in this round. Kestrel begins by quickly disarming his opponent, only for the Hufflepuff to recover his wand easily and retaliates with his own Expelliarmus. With the Ravenclaw defenseless, the Magus seizes the opportunity and casts a head spell that dizzies the Adept. Flashburn follows-up with a body shot, and once again hits Kestrel in the torso. The Hufflepuff looks to put his opponent on the brink of defeat, unleashing a powerful Stupefy, but the Ravenclaw, mustering all of what remains of his energy, reclaims his wand and puts up a shield charm in time to survive this forgettable round. Flexing his experience advantage, Frankfurt Flashburn opens up a sizeable lead over Kestrel Kingfisher. Will the Ravenclaw stage a comeback in the decisive round, or will the Hufflepuff finally put an end on the Adept's winning streak? Send in your Round 3 DS when ready. -

Hufflepuff Magus Frankfurt Flashburn versus Ravenclaw Adept Kestrel Kingfisher Round 1 Frankfurt Flashburn l 5 ______________________Kestrel Kingfisher l 5 Low - 0_____________________________________ Protego! - 0 Stupefy! - 0 __________________________________Expelliarmus! - 0 Expelliarmus! - 0_______________________________Mid - 0 Mid - 0_______________________________________Stupefy! - 1 Mid - 1 ______________________________________High - 0 Health: 4_____________________________________Health: 4 After finishing his mastery over Gryffindor rival Clen Vierno, newly-promoted Ravenclaw Adept Kestrel Kingfisher sets his sight on another target opponent, this time challenging the more experienced Hufflepuff Magus Frankfurt Flashburn, who readily accepts the challenge with getting back to Auror status in his mind. Flashburn immediately starts with a low-sweeping spell that is blocked by the Adept. The Ravenclaw then disarms the Magus with an Expelliarmus, but the Hufflepuff was quick to recover his wand and retaliates with his own disarming spell. Seeing his opponent weaponless, Flashburn tries to hit the Adept in the body, but Kestrel, showing lightning-quick reflexes, picks-up his wand on the floor and flicks an ultra-fast Stupefy that stuns the Hufflepuff. Even after being hit, Flashburn furiously fires back a body shot that goes through Kestrel's defense, slamming the Ravenclaw against the wall. What an exciting opening round! Spell for spell, attack for attack, both duelists are fiercely fighting mano-y-mano. Will we see a similar close match on the next round, or will someone gain a significant lead over the other? Send in your Round 2 DS when ready. -
Oh wow, what an amazing trailer! Thanks for sharing this 5150! Just seeing the scenes makes me really excited about this movie, I just hope the actual full-length movie will be better than the trailer. Also, I hope this redeems the Transformers franchise from the disaster of the sequel a.k.a. Revenge of the Fallen.

D2C Contest: The Jellyfish Cafe
XimenaPaulina replied to Gabe's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Wow, a very ingenious idea for a contest entry gabe! Not only is it excellently done overall, but the non-combative nature of this build is like a breath of fresh air amidst the usual 'heroes fight the bad guys' concept of action theme sets. The modularity makes for a highly-playable set, and I really like that cool-looking mini-sub. Impressive job and good luck! -

Guess who?* *Yeah, send me your DSs. -
Great entry mookage! I'm really diggin' this entry a lot, because like you I'm fond of Coruscant vehicles, and I'm glad to see someone make this in brickbuild, and you've certainly made a good rendition of the Coruscant Air Taxi. (I was actually thinking of doing my own version too before to complement my Jedi Shuttle Bus). Excellent work and best of luck in the contest! BTW, I changed the title according to the rules, but you'll have to ask KimT to change the subtitle since it's beyond my powers.

"Build a Lego Architecture Set" - I like the sound of that. (and a great way for talented builders to show TLG designers how it should be done) -
Hi Cedric, welcome to Eurobricks! I just saw your Castle MOC in the Historic Forum, great job on that one. Hope to see more from you and enjoy your stay here.
-
Welcome to the forums dbostream! Nice intro, I guess LEGO never fails to bring back the kid in us, it only takes one build, and Voila! - you're back in the hobby. I hope you're back for good and enjoy everything this site has to offer.

D2C Contest: Assault on the Mountain Temple
XimenaPaulina replied to mcfarlandman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Very nice entry, I love the built of the elevated temple and the idea of a cave, and it's good to see a complete line-up both on the heroes' and villains' side. The two brickbuilt giant creatures are well done too. Good job! -

Yes it's all yours this time, you rightfully earned it. Nah, I don't wanna add more 'insult to injury'. CF might be too busy with real life now so I want to give him the benefit of the doubt. -
2011 LEGO Architecture News & Rumours
XimenaPaulina replied to GRogall's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for sharing this find Mr Hobbles. This is the problem when creating something so huge in a such a small scale - the design will be gravely limited by the available existing LEGO parts, and in this case, the round 1x1 bricks are the 'best' solution to achieve the cylindrical shape of the 'columns' of the building. Yeah the final product isn't at all visually-appealing, but the question is, is there a better-looking solution? -

Ok, so shall we consider everything then as water under the bridge now? I hope this is the last time this issue will come out. -

What do you mean? Care to elaborate?

Nice purist customs MyHobby, they sure are very recognizable renditions of the real Marvel characters. And it's good to see 'lesser-known' characters having the spotlight every once in a while. But if I may suggest if you could improve the quality of the pictures? At the very basic it needs more/better lighting, as it would definitely make your presentation better.

Another excellent review The Brickster! Reading through your review and seeing those high-quality pics really makes me appreciate this set more. Among the new CITY sets this is the one that I would probably get, it's a pretty good set IMO, even if I prefer the '91 version.

The Penguin's Batman Minifigures. )
XimenaPaulina replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Another great batch of customs The Penguin! You sure have maximized the new minifig outfits very well (sailor, figure skater, skater boy, new policeman), the Hazmat gear is a perfect fit for Mr. Freeze, but my most favorite among these is Ms. Cherie, a truly lovely custom fig! -
Nice looking modular-style Police HQ tellblom, both the external architecture and interior details are very well done I must say. I love the crime lab (I have a soft spot for labs ), and the whole build looks very professional, great job!

Whoa! That's one mean-looking figthing machine alright, I simply love the overall muscular look, it really gives this mech an intimidating aura of a brute force, and the opening pic of it crushing a car perfectly demonstrates that. Very well planned and designed, and better executed I must say, excellent work on this QQS!

D2C Contest: Oasis Airport
XimenaPaulina replied to Decale's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Very good entry Decale, it really looks as one highly-playable set - with a good combination of vehicles, building structure, and a generous amount of minifigs. Well done and good luck! -
Great job on this castle Cedric, it sure does look like you've put in a lot of effort to do this one, the massive size and highly-detailed nature of it is clearly evident of all your hardwork. With regards to the build itself, even if a rougher surface for the castle walls would have been more realistic, I must admit the smooth finish still looks good. Overall it's an impressive-looking creation, very well done!
