Very well done second building, your Unseen University Octangle is coming along very nicely. Good job and I'm keenly looking forward seeing how this project progresses.

Wow great job lego-maniac, I applaud you for your effort pulling off that difficult build. I could just imagine how hard it is to put the pieces together on such a cramped and confined space. The end result is wonderful I must say, a satisfying build after all the 'hardwork' I'd assume. Excellent work!

Same here, this is my least favorite among the six, I'm not a fan of the Clone Trooper Miniland figures, and those blue crystal rocks look out of place on the whole set-up. Six down, one more to go, looking forward for the Ep. III - RoTS set-up then.

What was the last movie you watched?
XimenaPaulina replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
For the nth time - Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo. For some reason, I really enjoy watching this comedy over and over again, it really cracks me up every time I catch it on Star Movies. -
Another excellent custom morgan, very "quasi-futuristic Western-ish outlaw"-looking indeed. I'm lovin' the headwrap (duct tape?) and the use of the musketeer hat. Great work as always!

Interesting intro with your 3,000-word photo-edits. Welcome to the forums, judging from the picture I assume we have another SW fan amongst us.

D2C Contest: PQ Museum Raid
XimenaPaulina replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It looks much much better now IMO, and I certainly don't think it's too much of an addition, it's actually quite subtle with significant improvements in overall aesthetics. And in a contest with ultra-competitive entries, it's a strategic move to keep up with the rest of the equally-great entries. -
Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club

Gryffindor Student Clen Vierno versus Ravenclaw Practitioner Kestrel Kingfisher Round 3 Clen Vierno l 2 ____________________________Kestrel Kingfisher l 4 Protego! - 0__________________________________ Low - 0 Low - 0 ______________________________________Stupefy! - 1 High - 0______________________________________Protego! - 0 Mid - 1_______________________________________ High - 0 High - 1 ______________________________________Low - 0 Health: 1_____________________________________Health: 2 Once again, Gryffindor Clen Vierno is faced with the difficult task of overcoming the significant advantage of Ravenclaw Kestrel Kingfisher in the decisive round, and the practitioner wastes no time in trying to end this duel right away, casting a high-arching spell that is adeptly blocked with a shield charm from the student. The Ravenclaw continues his aggression, and hits Clen yet again with his powerful Stupefy. Down but not out, the Gryffindor desperately casts one last fury of spells - aiming at his opponent's head, body, and head again. The practitioner was able to defend with a Protego on the first attack, but the last two he got smothered badly. Drained by his final offensive salvo, Clen drops unconscious to the ground, defeated yet again, but not without a valiant effort. Winner: Kestrel Kingfisher! For the nth time, congratulations Captain Tamamono! Your spell advantage really has worked wonders for you. Extreme tough luck ceroknight, maybe you'll have more success dueling other players. Feel free to update your character profiles now. -

Welcome aboard TheMissingPiece! Pretty neat Clone Mission MOC you got there on your flickr, and some nice purist customs as well. Hope to see more of you here and enjoy the site!

Brilliant article Kristian! Thanks for taking us to a trip down memory lane, it was very well-researched and truly an informative read. I've really learned a lot on the history of the LEGO house, from the humble beginnings of the classic 376 House with Garden to the 90s Town houses. Excellent work!

No, it's not just you, even I don't even have that black astromech and Gunray, an additional Clone Pilot and BD is always welcome, and of course, that new Santa Yoda is a nice exclusive fig - not really bad of a line-up IMO. This advent calendar gives a chance to others who don't have these figs to finally own them, which is good, but apparently not to those who own multiples of Chewbacca or have hundreds of BDs, Clones, and Stromies in their rich SW collection.

This might be your simplest 'build' ever, but it still has that distinct 'ACPin awesomeness' and 'cool' factor in it. Pretty neat way to present your armies AC, gotta love the minor revisions you did to tone down the redundancy a bit.

General Discussion and Announcements
XimenaPaulina replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I like the idea of two Mafia Schools being run alternately, that really gives a chance for newcomers to get introduced to the mafia game and also an opportunity for those relatively newer players to hone their skills more (and redeem themselves if they sucked in their last game ). As far as regular mafia games go, I do have a concern, considering the mafia school has produced (and will produce more) new mafia players, and with the experienced 'Mafia All-Stars' we already have around, I think it would be better if we have more games planned and lined-up (more than last year) so we could accommodate the increasing number of interested players. Also, I hope the future games will provide new players like us to have the chance to play with and against the experienced players. -

Lovely shot MB! Very nice positioning of the arms for the correct crucifix pose. You even got the nail detail there, and the rubberband 'crown of thorns' is clever too. I understand the use of the face, although I wish the expression could've been more serious (but it's not your fault). Great overall presentation! -
I love the David Legham monicker. Nice vig, though honestly I didn't recognize the base as a football field at the start, since I'm used to seeing green grassed fields. Putting a net over and behind the goal would have made it more recognizable also.
-
Wow, that is quite an ingenious part usage. That 'minifig leg biker position' is something that is hard to pull-off without using the standard motorcycle body, and that 'door solution' is really clever I must say. Impressive!
-
Very interesting starfighter design Dr_Legoman, the curved claw-like overall shape is really quite unique. Good job on this another nicely done LDD MOC!

I honestly don't understand the complaints of the majority about the figs. Have you guys seen what the CITY and Castle Advent Calendars look like? If I remember right, they also include simply regular minifigs, nothing really special there. From a marketing point of view, I don't see any sense putting all new figs or some exclusive figs on a supplemental non-regular set, where obviously TLG would use those new and exclusive figs as 'drawing factors' for otherwise not-so-great regular sets (Shaak Ti/Saesee Tiin in the T-6 shuttle, Eeth Koth/Quinlan Vos in the upcoming Republic Frigate, just to name a few).

Wow, those LAATs look fat, even for Miniland builds. The only saving grace for me here are the jedi, which are instantly recognizable and nicely-detailed in Miniland scale. Thanks again for sharing this CopMike!

MOC: Darth Vader's Star Destroyer Playset
XimenaPaulina replied to CloudCity91's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That looks rather good, and a pretty decent first attempt at a MOC. The idea of a playset is nice, much like the other SW sets of the same concept. Though I think it could use a few more details, like greebles and tiled floors and walls, those are the most basic suggestions I could offer right of the bat. Looking forward how this one develops. -

Gryffindor Student Clen Vierno versus Ravenclaw Practitioner Kestrel Kingfisher Round 2 Clen Vierno l 4 ____________________________Kestrel Kingfisher l 4 Protego! - 0__________________________________ Protego! - 0 Mid - 0 ______________________________________Stupefy! - 1 Protego! - 0___________________________________High - 0 Low - 0_______________________________________Low - 0 High - 0 ______________________________________Mid - 1 Health: 2_____________________________________Health: 4 After a very close opening round, both duelists begin the second round cautiously with similar defensive Protegos. Then Kestrel fires off his signature Stupefy spell that stuns the Gryffindor. With his opponent a bit shaken off, the Ravenclaw aims to hit the student with a head shot, but Clen manages to put up a shield charm just in time to block the attack. Recovering to his feet, the Gryffindor tries to sweep Kestrel with a low spell, only to be countered by the same attack from the practitioner. As the round draws to a close, Clen attempts to tie things up again, but Kestrel has other plans and his body shot is quicker and knocks the Gryffindor to the groundl, and once again opens up a significant lead over his rival. Yet again, Clen has his back against the wall going into the decisive round. Will the results be the same as his past duels, or will he finally capture that elusive first win? Send in your Round 3 DSs when ready. -
