  1. Quite impressive LDraw design for this small industrial building gambort! Some pretty neat details you have there, like the huge roller door and the old-school door with viewing pane. Very good work!
  2. Excellent Museum MOC Redcross! The external architecture might be conservatively-designed, but the huge picture banners are quite unique pieces of detailing that effectively offset the all-white color scheme. I also love how packed the interiors are with all the very nice and highly-detailed displays - you sure have maximized all your animals and historical figs very well. Fantastic work overall!
  3. Nice review, thanks for sharing! This set is pretty good, though not something I would purchase right away. It does offer those new mermaid tail pieces, which is very nice to have, as well as the other cool-looking figs.
  4. Beautiful lighting effect! Now it only needs some additional lighting at the bottom front to highlight more the displays. But as it is, it's already a very nice-looking build. Good job once again!
  5. Great and interesting news indeed! Not only is it an added exposure to EB, but it is also a testament of how highly-regarded the reviews posted here in EB are, particularly the RA's. I must admit it really makes me proud, being a member of this online community, seeing the small EB logo (with the review links) in this sample page from Brickset.
  6. I'm lovin' that story CM! Ms. Fabray is always around to ruin Okay's fun huh? (Ice cream then, cat now) Round 2 DS sent!
  7. Interesting design for a fire-fighting aircraft ToJ, is this based on any particualr real-life aircraft? Anyway, nice work, and I'll add this to the LXF Index later.
  8. Nicely done PoP vig Adrian, pretty good fight posing of the figs, especially Dastan. But why do the guards above look clueless on what's happening?
  9. Since I'm more a builder than a collector, I never keep my sets intact. I always find a way to modify my set purchases to further improve them according to my liking. Though I never buy sets just to make them as parts source, I always use BL for that matter. As far as MOCs go, once I built them, they will be a permanent fixture in my display cabinet (much like Ralph's). I don't take them apart, since like what I've said in a similar thread before, I consider my MOCs as fruits of my labor (like an artist's painting, sculptor's sculpture, etc.) that should never be discarded. Though I sometimes scavenge parts from them every once in a while when I'm lacking parts on a current project, which I eventually replenish on my next stop to BL.
  10. I'm loving the conservatively beautiful external design of this museum, so clean-looking and elegant. The interiors are well done too, though I'd echo Brickdoctor's sentiment that a tiled floor would've look much better. Still, this is a great entry and wishing you all the best in the voting!
  11. Very nice vig TM, I love the lush and verdant greenery, particularly the different build of the trees. Well done!
  12. Thanks for sharing this new image grogall! The selection is pretty good in the perspective of an Advent Calendar. I think it's rather silly to expect some degree of complexity and high accuracy in the mini-builds, they are simple yet make for recognizable mini renditions of the real vehicles/elements. The minifig line-up is also quite ok IMO, a nice combination of rare figs (R2-Q5, clone pilot, Santa Yoda) and not-so-rare ones (Chewie, Rebel Pilot, Gunray, BD). I'm not gonna get this, but I'm sure it's a must-have for any die-hard LSW collector. Appreciate it for what it is, and not for what it's not.
  13. Amazing collection of vintage cars Hoexbroe! I simply love the overall smoothness and sleek design and each of these beauts. Very effective use of those curved slopes and wedges and the classic wheel caps. Brilliant work on all of these!
  14. Massively impressive creation once again andybear! The level of intricate detailing is simply off the charts! Congratulations once again on this stunningly beautiful build (and for personally meeting KKK).
  15. Nice little vig Artemik. I'm pretty sure this isn't what TLG intended for the new minifig accessories (baseball bat and crowbar) to be used, but in the purposes of this vig it works quite well as realistic street-fight weapons.
  16. Very nice exo-suit designs Dr_Legoman! I really like complete arsenal of weaponry you've incorporated on these suits. Will you build them in real bricks?
  17. Another excellent mini-ship Christopher! Those hook greebling details are indeed very unique and cleverly-conceived. Nice to see too the trans-blue engine exhaust. Great job as always!
  18. Pretty neat entry mordatre, that is one mean-looking tank alright. Well done and good luck in the contest!
  19. A very impressive Clone Army indeed! I really like the presentation a lot, you really captured the overall feel of the AOTC ending scene. Way to make most of us here envious of your collection what!
  20. Wow, another amazing entry, excellent job on this beautiful work Rufus! The building is simply lovely both inside and out, even the accompanying vehicle is a great build in itself. And as always, the presentation is top-notch. This is certainly one of the stand-outs in the very competitive pool of entries. Best of luck!
  21. Very nice Jedi Temple build lysander! Even if it's not minifig-scale (which is very hard to pull-off resources-wise), you really captured the overall basic architecture and external design very well. And what's great about this is the high playability of the interiors, much like a playset that is a standard for most LEGO sets (interiors of the Venator, Palpatine's Shuttle, etc.). I'm sure kids will enjoy playing this and at the same time, this makes up for a good and unique display model. Excellent work!
  22. Very nice Cantina scene, and the spaceport hangar with the MF looks great. But overall, I still think the Hoth one is the best among the reviewed layouts so far. Thanks for sharing this once again CopMike!
  23. Gryffindor Student Clen Vierno versus Ravenclaw Practitioner Kestrel Kingfisher Round 1 Clen Vierno l 5 ____________________________Kestrel Kingfisher l 5 Protego! - 0__________________________________ High - 0 Mid - 0 ______________________________________Mid - 0 Low - 0______________________________________Stupefy! - 1 Protego! - 0___________________________________Protego! - 0 High - 1 ______________________________________Low - 0 Health: 4_____________________________________Health: 4 The never-ending duel between Clen Vierno and Kestrel Kingfisher continues as the Gryffindor student seeks to avenge his previous losses against the Ravenclaw practitioner and finally gain his first duel win. Kestrel begins the re-rematch with a high-arching spell that is adeptly blocked by Clen. The Gryffindor then attempts to hit his opponent in the torso, only to be countered with a similar attack from the Ravenclaw. Clen tries to knock Kestrel off his feet with a low spell, but the practitioner's Stupefy proves to be more powerful and stuns the student. Unexpectedly, both duelists become overly-cautious in the next sequence, putting up a pair of defensive shield charms. Then Clen finds an opening in the Ravenclaw's defense and manages to hit Kestrel with a dizzying head shot, sending the practitioner sprawling to the ground. Much different from their previous matches, Clen is keeping toe-to-toe with Kestrel as the opening round ends with a tied score. Will the Gryffindor finally get over the hump, or will the Ravenclaw continue his mastery over the student? Send in your Round 2 DSs when ready.
  24. Great job on the LEGO rendition of this TV show Skrytsson! The custom minifigures represent the real characters perfectly, especially Charlie Sheen (is his a standard LEGO hairpiece?) The various scenes are very well done too, even if I'm not familiar with them as I do not watch the show. Though the bed scene with the two girls is pretty accurate for real-life Charlie Sheen. Yep, clearly this isn't a LEGO Licensed theme, it's more appropriate in the Special LEGO Themes subforum.
  25. Thanks CM! Sending my DS now... ...and I'll post the Round 1 results of the Captain Tamamono-ceroknight Re-remarch in a short while.
