Nice simple MOC Plissken, very unique idea and execution. The surfer is that cool of a dude not to be bothered getting eaten by a shark - he needs to keep the cool image I suppose.

Greetings Toybox Global, (Australia)
XimenaPaulina replied to toyboxglobal's topic in Hello! My name is...
Welcome to Eurobricks toyboxglobal. Siegfried is right: Member first before a seller. Just a friendly advice - the best way to 'promote' your store is by simply participating and being active in the forums, just being visible in the topics is already free promotion considering your avatar and you might want to put your links in your sig. See you then in the forums and enjoy! -
Welcome to Eurobricks lliyan! Glad to know you've recently come out from your 'Dark Ages'. And yeah this is indeed a pleasant and fun forum to be part of. Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay here.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
XimenaPaulina replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Topic already pinned, nice! This is much more newbie-friendly and more accessible now that is pinned. Kim/Stash, could you please correct the minor typo (quesions) in the title? Sorry for my hastily-prepared title, silly me for not proofreading it before posting. Thanks! EDIT: Thanks Kim/Stash for fixing the title and subtitle. I've also edited the first post for a more appropriate introduction. -
Uhm, I think it's pretty much known by now that we'll be getting a Mando BP, but getting this Mando guard in the BP seems unlikely, as most fans would want more of the regular Mando soldiers than these guards. There maybe a possibility it'll be included in some type of Mando-based set in the future, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Talk to the Star Wars Moderators and Regulators
XimenaPaulina replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think the Gallery page is much much better than the MOC Index for the following reasons: - I love how you could see the MOCs in a more presentable thumbnail view instead of the regular vertical view of the MOC index - The Gallery does not take too much time to load unlike the MOC Index - There's a rating system where fans can vote! Great job on organizing these KimT, I know indexing and gallerizing 100+ MOCs is a very tedious time and effort-consuming task. You deserve some type of reward for your 'job'. Thanks! -
I love how you managed to get the right shape, colors, and details for such a small scaled-Slave I. One clever technique I noticed is the 'reverse stud build' at the tail end, nice use of the stud hole in the modified 2x2 plate with hole. Certainly job most impressive Eichhorn!

What I love about this MOC is the simple yet beautiful architecture of the tower - the all-tan color scheme, smooth finish, and no overly-done details give it a clean sophisticated look. The other elements - rocks, water, li'l bit of greeneries - accentuates the simplistic beauty of this MOC. Great job Sir!

Ooh, nice modifications on the Camper - the simple mods you did make it a whole new vehicle. The interiors are great and it looks good together with the coast guard truck. Good job marvinblue!

The bull-bars are great, but I must say the brickbuilt RICE and Japanese character are even more amazing! I like the fact that you put effort into it and did not just resort into the easy way out of using decals. Great job Ricecracker!

Great "Dragonfly" ship Plastemaurer, you really captured the overall dragonfly look, most especially in the front. The use of the trans-yellow domes to resemble the dragonfly eyes is very clever. I also like the fact that the cockpit is detachable from the body. Impressive work!

Welcome to Eurobricks Matt! Nice intro. And is that a Homer-ish "Mmmmmm... Lego" I love the sound of that. Enjoy the site.

Hi PhaTic and welcome to Eurobricks. You have some interesting MOCs in your flickr, hope we could see them here in EB soon.

Oh my, what a wonderful futuristic bar! I simply love the details and lots of 'action' going on there. I liked how you used the various MF elements from the different themes. And I see at least two 'nude' dudes there. Yay! Great job Dan Church!

If ever the Clone Commando rumor is true, it should have a different helmet mold than regular clones. If they're just going to reuse the normal clone helmet the commandos will then just look like regular clones, and that wouldn't just look/feel right. Regarding Vos in the T-6 shuttle, yeah the three new jedi might be 'drawing factors' for kids, it's just this is something unheard of/unseen before so it'd be a happy surprise if ever we'll get these jedi trio in one set.

I kinda agree with you with the Woody-Buzz swapping, since Woody is more of the lead role (Luke) and Buzz is the sidekick (Han), but I think Oky made some of those parallelisms based mostly on the physical look of the MFs and not on the actual character of the MFs, like: - Lotso is the big hairy character like Chewie - Stinky Pete has the 'old man look' resembling old Obi-Wan - Rex looks like a Taun-Taun - Bulls-eye resembles and AT-AT - Woody has the cowboy vest like Han - The Fly guy fits well in Boba's body

Whether it'll be 3 or 4 figs I'd still say the 2011 BPs will be pretty 'loaded'. It will be just a matter of preferences for the consumers: 4-minifig BP = less specialised MFs, less accessories/weapons/mini-vehicle parts, good value for money (parts/price ratio) 3-minifig BP = more specialised MFs, more accessories/weapons/mini-vehicle parts, less value for money (parts/price ratio) Either way, I think fans would still buy those and I can say off the bat that it'll be more popular than the recent BPs (or all BPs released for that matter). It is really kinda weird having three new jedi in a single set, as I would assume a better tactic for TLG is to disperse Shaak/Saesee/Vos in three different sets so that people will buy those 3 sets instead of buying just one. It's either this strategy of "one-new-jedi-in-a-set" has failed before or we're about to get more new jedi/MFs in the second wave of 2011 sets.
-
Since Navy Trooper Fenson has somehow confirmed the reliability of Omot/Tomo, getting the 3 new jedis in the T-6 shuttle would be absolutely amazing. Yeah I know the ship itself is rather plain looking, but Shaak & Saesee are reason enough for me to buy the set, and now with Vos? This has got to be the most minifig-blessed SW set I will ever get.

Nicely done Doc. Look how big that carrot is for the snowman Boba. At first I wondered why the arms were brown then I realized it was supposed to the wood stick. I guess it would be better if a brown rod/stick piece were used instead of the decapitated brown arms?

MINI Hell's Anvil, Preybird and StarViper Attack Platform
XimenaPaulina replied to Legostein's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Legostein, if I may suggest I think it would be better if you post the reference photos (or links at the least) of the mini-ships/vehicles that you are MOCing. That way we could marvel more on how accurate your minis are to the real things. Just like these ones I checked these EU vehicles on wookieepedia and found out how close your minis really are to the overall look of these ships. I think that would improve your already impressive MOC presentation better. Just a friendly advice Sir, hope to see more of your marvelous minis soon. -
It looks pretty good to me, I'm not much of a Venator expert but I think you got the overall look right, considering the limitations of the scale you worked on. I agree with the mob that you should either decrease the thickness of the front or raise the rear thickness. Another improvement might be the use of dark red tiles in the middle instead of the dark red plates.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
XimenaPaulina replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
That's what I though also. It looks like they're just poorly-made titles to create stir and for fans to visit the site. -
Hmmm... Are these reliable? Kinda too good to be true. I mean three new jedis in the T-6 shuttle? And three new bounty hunters in the Gunship? And a clone commando in the BP? Don't get me wrong, I would want these rumors to be true but I just can't imagine TLG pampering us with these sweet deals.
