Three possibilities for this Clone Commando: 1. TLG will make a new helmet mold and retain the Clone Commando in the BP 2. TLG will keep the current green clone in the BP and just rename it as another specialized clone 3. TLG won't change anything and keep both current green clone and wrong Clone Commando name in the BP Let's keep our fingers crossed for #1.

I love the clever SNOT techniques - the smooth finish is absolutely stunning. Good job Hoexbro!
-
Very nicely done kciR! I love the caged songbird and the colored backpack - very clever use of that piece.

The pic below will answer both of your questions: 1. The positioning of the long technic door hinge was repositioned from the bottom (in the official RGS) to the top (in JAG). This way, the doors fits more to the body, decreases the visible gaps, and gives more headspace for the minifigs 2. The photo in the first page is a 'trick shot', there is actually a column of stacked trans-clear 2x1 bricks that supports the weight in the rear part, I just removed them for presentation purposes. Why thank you legoman234.

The photos are still prelims so Obi-wan having the wrong green lightsaber should not be an issue. And no I don't think these images are fake as they came from a relatively reliable source, they are just preliminary and some elements might still change.
-
I think Vos' and Shaak's final faces will most likely be like in the prelim photos, which is not too much CloneWarsized, as TLG might have taken consideration the 'anti-CW face sentiments' of the majority of fans. I mean, why change something that looks rather good now to only make it look bad in the end right? On the other hand, Saesee's face do look preliminary and will need a lot of 'facelift'.

Welcome to Eurobricks Yatkuu! You've got pretty interesting MOCs there alright. I love the brickbuilt phone and ipod docking station - another way how lego can be functional. Hope you enjoy your stay here.

Very nice MOC Big Brick! I love the ambush action shots - the jet trooper coming from behind, a clone snapping the droid's head, Nahdar killing two droids with double lightsabers from behind - all very cleverly executed. And of course, the amazing amount of details is fantastic. Great job!
-
Oh yeah, you're absolutely right there, the green clone the BP is exactly the same as the ones in the photo, thanks for sharing this. TLG should revise the name in the final product as the green clone in the BP is clearly not a Commando but just regular trooper with custom green prints.

I think Lego-Freak is right, TLG might've just mixed up the MFs, the Fly mask really belongs to Cato (see below). Then that just means we'll get her in a later set as Oky said.

Welcome to Eurobricks Rabid Squirrel, glad to know another SW fan joining us. See you in the SW forum.

2 ARFs still aren't enough for me! I need at least 10. Well, maybe it's just me, but I still think it would have been a lot better if there were 2 ARFs instead of one. It'd be more cost-efficient for army building IMO.
-
Thanks for pointing this out, that might be the fly mask that I remember, now it really is a mystery if Sugi really has that mask or not. I hope they just stick with the basic zabrak head for her.
-
No I don't think that's Seripas. If my memory serves me right, I'm pretty sure that Fly mask is Sugi's, I'm just having trouble finding the approriate photo. And yes the ships wing thrusters have flight and landing positions. AFAIK No. I think TLG made a wrong move on this one. I mean, I'm sure most fans will prefer two ARF troopers over two BS troopers anyday. Who needs a lot of BS troopers anyway? Unlike the ARF troopers which has a lot of custom army building possibilities (Lightning Squadron, Geonosis-camo type, etc.)

I can't seem to find both Sugii/Sugil names, I only see one as 'Sugii'. Anyways, I think it's a helmet, if I remember right in the Bounty Hunters episode she wore that helmet during the battle with the Pirates, so I think she'll have the normal zabrak head behind the mask. The size of the ship is expectedly small, consistent with other relatively huge SW ships (Imperial shuttle, RAS, Twilight). TLG just doen't do huge ships at accurate size, since it'll mean more parts, higher price, less buyers. That's probably the best thing to do.
-
That's her, 'Sugii' was just a typo. I agree she looks horrible with that fly mask. I think we still have to see her Zabrak face behind the mask, though I don't see her characteristic T-shaped ponytailed hair, and her zabrak horns are probably going to be prints on the head like Maul.
-
Sugi is the one with the funny-looking alienesque mask. Maybe Aurra will appear in that bounty hunter ship in an upcoming episode in Season 3. Besides, we should know by now TLG's habit of throwing random characters in sets.

Interesting to note that Vos was not in the prelim photos of the T-6 shuttle (Anakin was there). He was just a late addition to probably add an 'attention-drawing buy-me factor' in an otherwise unspectacular T-6 shuttle. From your post, it looks like you haven't been updated with the recent Star Wars events Sir. The Mandalorians have appeared in multiple episodes in the Clone Wars Season 2. Vos is a jedi (a popular one among jedi fans) who will appear in Season 3. With all due respect, but I think you need to brush up with the recent SW knowledge a bit, as OT/PT are (respected) things of the past.
-
I also noticed the blue thingy at the back of the Mando speeder, most likely it'll be some tripod of some sort as you said. But in the CT BP, all I see is the BARC speeder, the white thing you saw at the back might be the long rear part of the BARC. Regarding the troopers, I think the Bomb Squad troopers will have the standard white helmet printed majorly with orange. But I don't think there will be extra gears for the BPs, except the standard weapons and a jetpack for one of the Mandos, One thing I don't see is some type of bomb squad kit, all the BS troopers have are blasters.
-
I understand the budget factor, but I've seen better alternative versions (from MOCers) of the recent BP mini-vehicles at the same piece count (50-60 pieces I believe). If the MOCers can do that, why can't the official TLG designers right? But I'll have to reserve my final judgement for now until I see the hi-res pics. Anyways, it's the MFs the consumers are after for in the BPs and not these mini-vehicles. EDIT: Sorry, I take back my harsh criticism of the BARC speeder, upon closer look it does seem they got the basic shape right this time, it's just hard to see the details in the small blurry pic. I also noticed there seems to be another blue mini-vehicle in the Mando BP, the one in front is the Mando speeder bike and another blue 'thingy' at the back (does not look like a speeder). Or is it possible that there'll be two Mando speeders?
-
And yet again, another midi-scaled ship. Nicely done Big Brick, I'm not so familiar with this ship as I am not a fan, but I think you got the overall shape and design right (from what I remember). The use of the wheel for the cockpit is truly very unique, first time I saw this technique done.
-
Yep, I also see only one Mando with a backpack, the other three have none. Sorry to be harsh but the Mando speeder bike and the BARC speeder look horrendous, which is 'consistent' with the previous terrible BP mini-vehicles. I mean the designers could've done better than those, this is their perfect chance to do an accurate version of the BARC but it looks like they'll fail yet again. I'm sure there will be better MOC versions that'll surface and put these mini-vehicles to shame once again. The droid looks metallic silver to me (like the lightsaber). I might have to eat my words and get that V-Wing too (I love astromechs!)
-
Arrgh! Lazy TLG (joke). They went the easy way out and did not make any new helmet mold and just recolored it. So there is only one new helmet mold (ARF), I knew TLG won't pamper us with more than 2 new helmet molds.
-
Yes as opposed to CW faces. I admit they are non-conventional, non-ABS lego plastic that we've been used to, but these rubber heads are more detailed IMO, and will represent alien-type heads better than plastic (that's why the Fisto head is so cool right?)
-
Without the benefit of clearer pictures, I'd agree that this V-Wing is just a recolored (blue instead of dark red) version of the previous one, maybe with some slight improvements but I'd still expect the basic shape and build. Amongst in the line-up, this might be the one I won't bother to get. If there are blue markings in the ARF, they might probably be the Lightning Squadron type, or another type which we'll about to see in Season 3.
