  1. sweet! I am going to get some for sure. I'd love some cool pirate and merchant captains too.
  2. We have a RED vs. Blue topic where you can pick on the other side to your hearts content! I love the various factions. I only have a handful of the spanish but I have lots of the others. I agree, I think the more factions the better in the Pirates line. It makes the possibilities for fun, adventure and mischeif almost unlimited. I imagine if we get POTC sets we will see some factions. They had islanders and british at least in the second one and I'd almost bet that we'll see some spanish in the new movies. I'll just hate seeing those fleshy heads on Lego pirates if it comes to pass.
  3. You guys are hilarious! I love this thread. You know there are several important differences between a Bluecoat and a Redcoat. First while Bluecoats like to eat and get drunk and imagine defeating and humiliating their enemies, Redcoats actually do it then we get drunk and bed the Bluecoat widows! Second, in a matter of honor we would never use a duel as a trap...That's just wrong (greencoat behavior)! Seriously though, thank you both for the laugh the MOC's are excellent and would have done your teams proud...oh and sorry you got your butts handed to you in the Tournament I hope we have another Tournament next year because its just too much fun...where else can one laugh at seeing their own head on display in a jar! That's good stuff!
  4. Holy Crap! I never thought Lego would actually pull the trigger on something of this scale. This is huge for them. It doesn't compare to any previous ship that has come before it. I never thought that would happen in a million years. I am stunned. I guess I'll just have to put those new golf clubs on hold. I am going to need six of these beauties. Now if Lego could just see clear to releasing a couple little impulse sets with new Bluecoats I will be extremely happy...well exremely happier...extremely happiest? Damn this is really cool! WOW...way to go Lego. You are back on the Christmas card list.
  5. Excellent job Joey! Congratulations. I got your information. As soon as I hear from Captain Green Hair with his I'll head on over to the post office. Thanks again to everyone you participated as a player, judge, moderator and spectator. I had a lot of fun. Start saving up your ideas for next years Tournament! This thread should be closed. Thanks
  6. A winner! Excellent and congratulations. If Captain Green Hair would be so good as to send me his contact information via PM I will be delighted to send him his well deserved Soldier's Fort! This topic can and all associated Tournament of Retribution topics can be closed. Thank you all for your participation as players, judges, moderators and spectators. It was a lot of fun. I hope you all save up a bunch of great ideas for next years tournament!
  7. Did you just make a brickfilm of an Admiral taking a dump with a toliet water view of the whole thing? Well after the initial shock of it wore off it did make me laugh. Still though its probably an image I could have lived without. Can't wait to see what you come up with next....or can I?
  8. Only 3 more days to vote for the MVP's. Make sure your vote gets counted!

  10. Very nice and simple. I like the burried treasure idea that was suggested. If you were to create an space within the high side of the ground (and under) and you took a picture from the back side you would see him watering his flowers but underneath is burried his treasure. I'd have that be the last picture in the sequence and take out the first photo that looks straight down as that one doesn't add much over the others. Also if it were me I'd go with the traditional brown epaulettes. Its every nice and simple but I think that treasure idea will give it a little twist and surprise in the final picture....Is he tending his flowers or guarding his treasure?
  11. This is a wonderfull small entry. I can only think of a couple very small items that you might consider adjusting. 1) Turn the soldier's head (upstairs) a little more toward camera so you catch his face. 2) Take out the brown floor plate in the front of the upper story and put in tiles like the rest of the floor (maybe just have one stud if you need it for his foot. 3) Take out the musket and substitute some food in the barrel (just seems more basement like to me. I love the curtains and the chair and the overall concept and story are terrific. Great job.
  12. Great job. She looks fast and handy. You design is spot on. The riging looks very realistic as well. I like the sails all rolled up. Nice job. Maybe you should make some sails for her and take a few photos that way as well.
  13. Welcome. I am a big fan of the adventures (though I have only a few sets as I missed the original release) and Indiana Jones. I look forward to seeing your creations.
  14. I like the cannon and the crew. The only thing I would change about the cannon is the gold brick behind the breach. I'd go with a black one (if you have that piece). Otherwise, it looks great.
  15. It does seem to stretch the rules a little. While it does not imply that violence is still occurring, it is focusing on the violence of the past. It is a great start, but I'd like to offer you a few suggestions to bring it back into compliance with the rules and take it to the next level. First, spend a little more time and bricks developing your island and, by that, I mean its rock formations, shorelines and vegitation. There are lots of amazinging islands in the land based MOC's index Land Based MOC Index to help give you some ideas. Here is an example of a great MOC with tons of great island technics. Yours would be smaller but it should give you some good ideas. Another suggestion is reduce the number of skeletons to 1 or 2 (maybe make one an imperial and one a pirate) and have 2 - 3 live pirates with a little boat and shovels and picks that have come back to the island to dig up their burried treasure. Now that the world is at peace they want to spend some of their hard earned loot. Try to resist the temptation to have too much going on in your MOC. Focus on making what you do include look really good and prominant. People want to be able to see every detail and sometimes adding too many details makes that difficult. Also try not to be overly repetitive with the details you include. One or two skeltons and animals makes the point of your design which is: here is a remote island that has been long abandonded that saw fighting and death in the past. Maybe the pirates can also burry the dead while they pick up their treasure? That would be another example of a peacetime activity. Best of luck to you on your entry!

  18. Hilarious! I'd like to see one with them dancing and singing. Very funny!
  19. Great job with the sound editing. I like it...really nice
  20. Don't forget to vote! Why are you reading this if you haven't voted yet? You should go vote!
  21. Come on people. You need to vote! We had more participants than we have votes! So go vote if you haven't already.
  22. I am in. I enjoy being critical "helpful"
  23. What a great dog! I'd like to send him some milkbones as a reward. Seriously though I bet you find lots of creative uses for one chewed up soldier.
  24. Black Rabbit The bluecoat troops Execute their Redcoat captives in the most humiliating and cruel ways... Redcoats one by one are placed head first into urine soaked barrels and are used for targets when the calvary practice. Captain Zuloo #1 It was a common practice for the Bluecoats to have some fun with their prisoners...that is, make them dance on stage in their underwear and silly hats... #2 One of the bluecoats comfortably pushing himself down the slope in a crate. Well, there was no reason to waste Blackmoor's banana crate was there? Well, if ski poles aren't readily available, rifles come in handy. See, this is what's so good about the bluecoats. They are resourceful and they take initiative unlike their silly red counterparts. (Or green for that matter) Another bluecoat speeding down the slope. And in a bucket too. If he were a redcoat, he wouldn't have thought of a bucket, he'd be on a mere plank of wood! Uh oh! It looks like the goofy redcoat has run into a problem, or rather, a rock. Take note how all the bluecoats managed to miss it. Stupid redcoats...AGAIN! Destroydacre #1 #2 As several greencoats were relaxing at the local spa, they got something interesting in the mail. After opening the letter, the soldiers discovered that they had been invited to take part in the next incarnation of everyone's favorite reality tv show Survivor, titled Survivor: La Mort! The greencoats were then transported to their new home (I apologize that my Cross Bone Clipper is so dusty). But as soon as the island was visible in the distance the greencoats were rudely thrown overboard (This picture turned out blurry for some reason...disappointing). The greencoats barely made it to the island alive. But as soon as they did, they were greeted by none other than Survivor host Jeff Probst! The greencoats got to partake in grueling challenges including Crocodile wrestle... ...and quicksand floater Of course even with the dead soldiers already eliminated, it wasn't official without holding tribal council. The winner was offered the chance to claim his prize. But the producers of Survivor are not without a conscience. The winner was allowed to pull on the hanging string and abort his prize. Poor greencoat... This incarnation of Survivor was the most popular one yet, with the finale receiving 2.5 billion viewers worldwide. But were the producers happy with it? I'd have to go with a resounding yes. Ratshot Ratshot's Magic Show Ratshot and his cousin Simeon recently returned from a big battle with the evil Redcoats. Towards the end of the battle they managed to capture the Redcoat general, Admiral Woodhouse. Upon returning, they were passing through the local market place were they noticed a large crowd of peasants watching a Jester juggle. But the people didn't like the Jester, so rather then the change pot filling up with change, it filled up with rotten veggies and stinky fish. The only person who was happy was a local beggar. So our two Bluecoat heroes took to the stage.(Here is a shot of Ratshot and Simeon. Ratshot(my sigfig) is on the left) Simeon gaurantes the peasants that the Admirals head will disappear. The peasants speculate Ratshot raises a curtain (There are young viewers out there, so we must be carefull ) and Simeon casts a spell. Ratshot removes the curtain and the Admirals head is gone just like Simeon promised, plus the change pot filled up, more money for the Bluecoat war effort The people are so happy with the Admirals death that they take Ratshot and Simeon crowd surfing. This proves that the Redcoats have weak necks and stupidity when trying to evade capture. Crystal A little scouting unit was walking along when they saw this Silly Redcoats would fall for anything just look at them! So when they were about to get her Bluecoats came out of nowhere Captain: You are herby arrested and tortured for being across enemy lines. Good work darling. Redcoat on the left side: Do we still get the hooker? Captain: Sad Face Captain Blackmoor #1 In 1712 the Bluecoats abandoned this island, it became a place to hide. And so there was another Redcoat, he fled away from a battle. The silly Redcoat explores the island, when he discovers something... Since the Redcoat hadn't eaten for days, the bananas are delicious! Unfortunately the lad became addicted to them... The vultures already know what is going to happen to the poor dumb Redcoat... He doesn't even realise it's a trap... A nasty trap... And the Redcoat falls in the pit below... At that same point, a ship from the Bluecoat navy was waiting offshore till the Redcoat fell in the pit. Then, the soldiers came in action! Of course the captain of that ship couldn't resist to take a look as well. The Redcoat was easily found. He was already bitten by the huge ammount of snakes in the pit. No more words were wasted on the Redcoat, we Bluecoats have more things to do then executing stupid Reddies! The Bluecoats didn't say: "Oh poor Redcoat, let me give you some help to get out of that pit." And they didn't say either: "Ok men, let's give him a chance by challenge him for a fair duel." And they especially didn't say: "Four against one is actually not fair!" Cap'n Blackmoor's parrot tells what actually DID happen: #2 It is 1734, in the LEGO Caribbean. Captain Blackmoor found something unusual on the seas, something you don't see every day. Yes, it was the good fellow Joey Lock! Sailing on a heavy-battledamaged ship. Like that way, we managed to capture him. Instead of killing him, we decided to make some fun. I think that's all of them!
