That is serious business. I like how you posted the pictures in reverse order! I saw the first couple and thought, that doesn't seem like a big deal...ofcourse a few pictures later I had to scoop up my jaw. Wow big job. I hope you didn't break anything.

Great story to this entry! Very original idea. I like the design of the build. It looks very clean and you have a lot of mini-figures without it looking overly crowded. The only thing I could suggest to change is maybe substituting a pen/feather for the cutlass the Captain is holding and a magnifying glass for the pistol the pirate has since these are obviously no ordinary pirates. Very nice and again great idea.

Good idea and great small entry. I really like the little slope you have created. I think that provides a lot of visual interest right away. I am not a huge fan of the big flowers either but they look OK here. You might see what it looks like with one fewer in the back corner. The one thing that is bothering me about this creation is the sign. I think the tile is too long. The whole sign looks disproportionate to me. Maybe you could use a 1 x 4 tile as the arrow doesn't need to be that long or you might try to see what the sign pole looks like when built out of a few 1 x 1 rounds that way the post has a greater diameter in relation to the sign. You could also lower it a brick and see how that looks. It might also be funny to see how it looks with a little treasure spilling out of his barrell as he rolls it. That would further imply that he is in such a hurry to get there he is going a little too fast and he doesn't seem to care if he losses a little treasure along the way.

By waiting for Halloween!
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Captain'Spaulding's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Great MOC! I love the idea of the halloween party. I was thinking about doing a halloween theme MOC a few weeks ago but things got too busy. The rocks and the path are excellent, among the best I have seen. I like the upper part too but I see your point. I think it is the round printed wall sections that stand out. You did such a great job building everything out of bricks that the wall plates look out of place. I bet if you build that section out of bricks you will feel better about the top. Either way this MOC is a terrific seasonal display. I hope it gets front paged for halloween! -
Very nice small entry. I like your choice of clothing for Brickbeard to be marooned in and the fact you gave him a pistol. I wonder if he is still there or if he used his shot. I think it would start to look crowded if you try to add much else. What you might do is use some trans blue and green cheese insteed of the flat blue tiles for the water. Since it is a small build you wouldn't need many and it would add something a little more unique to your creation and give the water a little life. Very nice job. I like it a lot.

Steampunk attack from sea...
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Captain'Spaulding's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
That's fantastic. The mini-figures are great and so is the ship but the platform.box you have built is really wonderful and the ocean and sand is amazing. My favorite touch has to be the wet sand to dry sand transition that you have created. Great idea to do it the way you did. I like this a lot. -
That does sound good but I don't want to see the MOC these bricks will be used to create!

That's too bad. The color scheme and the design itself are both very good. I like Blue and black together. You might have inspired me to build something myself that is predominately blue and black. Nice!

MOC: Our fair princess in CubeDude form

I've seen these before too but they are awesome and funny. I think the world might be a better place if we were all cube dudes/dudettes. -
Shaun of the Dead

I love that movie and your mini-figure is awesome! I can't get over how good that hair piece is. Nice custom. -
Excellent. Your custom mini-figures are great (as always) but it especially nice to see them in a full blown MOC. The buildings/town makes for an excellent backdrop. You did a really nice job with the landscaping and I always love a good bridge to march over. Very nice job with all the action and detail.

Excellent. It really has that sterile hospital feeling. You can almost smell that disinfectant smell!

Vintage Minifig V3 contains a BLUECOAT!
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Commodore Hornbricker's topic in LEGO Pirates
I've got one of these. I didn't see much of a quality difference if any with mine. The tic-tac-toe there is a more noticable color and texture difference in some of the minifigure parts. -
Cool. All the large masks and the display cases are great but what I really love about this MOC is all the color. Very nice interior detail.

Wow! Your ship looks amazing. Your hull design is incredible. I love the lines of your ship and the deck planking. The sails are very cool as well. This has to be one of my favorite steam punk ships. Great creation.

What was the last movie you watched?

Zombieland. Had some funny scenes of zombie's and people getting messed up but all in all save your money. -
Are any of the Ambassadors aware of when the next update to Pick a Brick will occur? I was wondering if it was going to be an annual thing or what? Thanks

It's very nice. The design is very clean. You have just the right amount of detail and mini-figure activity and the colors and elements really work well together. I love it!

Welcome...I hope you enjoy. There are lots of resources on the sight. Look forward to seeing your work.

Nice job mashing up two really great sets. I like the new color scheme and othe custom touches you added. It gives it some much needed color. I just got the Toy Shop today and I can't wait to get it home. -
Great review. I love it. Now if I could just buy one at my local Lego Store

I love the dark blue roof on that new house. Excellent! I'll look forward to that set.

Another great interview. Thanks for puting these together and sharing a little about yourselves. Its always fun to read and now even more fun to hear a little about the people behind the screen names.
