Lots of new items from BrickForge
Commodore Hornbricker replied to LuxorV's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I got a big order today. Saws, mushrooms, spears, swords, reins and lots of other stuff. It all looks very nice in real life. -
What do people say about you being a AFOL
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Paul B Technic's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't tell everyone just to tell them but I am rather reserved in sharing personal information so that's nothing new but I don't try and hide it. I am proud of my collection and MOC's. Many people I know are pleasantly surprised, interested and impressed. I am a big boss guy at work and people have a tendancy to be intimidated so it's a quirky thing that reveals another side of me that isn't readily aparent to many. Plus in my book a little weird is a good thing. Life is way to short, do things that you enjoy when you have time to do it. We all have to spend a lot of time doing things we don't. Lego makes me happy. -

I really like the way you have aranged your City. You have included many wonderful sets. A custom centerpiece stadium will really make your City special and unique. I look forward to seeing the final product. I just saw the no stadium post. I still think your town needs a special MOC at is center to make it more than just an arrangement of sets. Maybe a waterfront/promenade/marina would look nice.

MOC: Minifig scale London Routemaster bus
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Ralph_S's topic in LEGO Town
That is a great bus! This whole MOC is stunning. The Taxi is spot on as well. I look forward to seeing more of your London. -
Another great army builder. Awesome. We should have a secret handshake...or maybe we already do

'Behind The Helm' Episode #14 - Teddy
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Captain Zuloo's topic in LEGO Pirates
Another great interview you two. Teddy, I found your English to be very good and easy to understand. Game Granny gave me a big laugh! Your home sounds like a fun place. Thanks for sharing and I have always enjoyed your MOC's. -

Lots of new items from BrickForge
Commodore Hornbricker replied to LuxorV's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Cool. Thanks. There are some must haves on that list. The sickle alone is enough to get me to their shop! I wish they'd make a big cannon. -
MOC: Sweeney Todd/Mrs. Lovetts meat pies
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Badsneaker's topic in LEGO Town
You captured it beautifully. You can almost see the throats being cut and bodies made into meat pies. Wonderful job. The interior spaces and details also captured the original very well. -
I've listened and/or read them all and I think they are a lot of fun. If you have never done an interview with someone its not as easy as it sounds...you never know what someone is going to say in response to your questions. I didn't think I would like the audio but it turns out I like it even more than reading it. You all have done a great job...The fact you type them up blows me away. That is a lot of not so much fun work. I am an American so automatically anyone with an accent sounds extra smart and important (which is either a good thing because we like you and want you to like us or a bad thing in that we now feel threatened and must destroy you)...Seems to work for the Lego related interviews.

WOW. What a fantastic MOC. At first glance there can be no doubt about Eldorado serving as the inspiration. You improved it in every way imaginable but for me the real jem is the subterranean level. The addition of this underground level really brings the for to life. I would love to see one of the rooms clearly set up as a powder magazine. Totally amazing.

Lego Pirates Decal and Weapon Problems
Commodore Hornbricker replied to curtisrlee's topic in LEGO Pirates
Doesn't that cause you to handle them hundreds of times to change position, etc. Maybe you should get a few spare stunt doubles. I have a large amount of the pirate figures. They aren't in the sun and they don't get handled often and they look good as new. -
UM...Yes Please. This is one of those MOC's that I just wish I could see in person because it has so much life and so many details. Great job in ordering your chaos. As first glance it is just exploding with with activity but as you watch it the scene comes to life and everything makes sence. Plus senseless undead violence is always a good subject for any raiding pillaging MOC. Excellent!

Great Review. I think they did an outstanding job with this set. A neat design and good color and brick selection. Lots of minifigures and great details. What's not to love about this one?

MOC: Department Store - Modular Standard
Commodore Hornbricker replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Town
Amazing department store! I would buy that if Lego was selling it. Great parts and great colors. You came up with an outstanding design inside and out. Lots of great details without making it look too busy. Very classy. The entrance is just amazing. -

Great job on your first solo interview. A long overdue conversation with one of the hardest working guys on Classic-Pirates.com. Thanks for sharing. -
