New sets are out. So it begins. BRING ME THEIR HEAD! (pics!)

Naw, 2001 was a great time. They didn't need to do much different for me at that point. Well, maybe give them freaking HANDS. Once I saw the design on the Nuva masks, everything went in the crapper. Same with Star Wars. End it at Empire, then just release a bunch of "strange" figures from a movie that never existed. RIGHT. Those old, simple, nearly silent film-like flash movies (well, cinema intermissions) were the shit. That's what bionicle was, and it was ferocious and awesome. Then they made an awful, expensive, CGI kiddy movie and... yeah... no. lol

How did you like the Clone Wars TV series?
JINZONINGEN73 replied to kill will's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I thought Jar Jar's body proportions were a bit off... which is weird, for he's been CGI to begin with. Even "catoonizing" him shouldn't have him be that different. Well, it was a Jar Jar episode. Not much more to say than that. The premise was funny, but it just didn't feel like a whole hell of a lot happened. -Padme is sold out. -Jar Jar accidentally kills some droids. -Jar Jar talks to some fish. -Jar Jar saves day with fish. Still, more entertaining than the damn 3rd movie lol. Still, more entertaining than the damn 3rd movie lol. According to Wikipedia, all reairings of the the rookie episode has the curses removed. >__< No more commandos saying "hell". Silly censorship... how I loathe you. See, this. THIS is why downloads are nice. I bet when it comes to DVD that it'll be the edited version. -
We can dream, can't we?

I never really got deeply into any of the Bionicle games, but I remember a BZ member called patblastertoa had created a (hideous-looking) site which had all the MNOLG cutscenes ripped there. Sadly, it was a time before I was smart enough to know how to save those flash files lol. When I remembered the site and went back a year or two later, it was gone. And that's sad. Those cutscenes WERE my favorite media of Bionicle ever. Still are, really.

Ew, nice notice there, Gunnar. Man, I actually have some money in my pocket now. I'm SO going to jump on a few new sets the second they appear. I WANT THOSE HANDS.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- SPOILER ALERT !
JINZONINGEN73 replied to SWMAN's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Ah, well that explains where the body went. lol Not sure what to think of this episode. The Fisher guy was the guy who messed with Derek in the future, but Derek's altered the future to the point that never took place for him, but the guy's still there. Then he's killed, further complicating the paradox by him never being able to do what he does... but then there's another him still walking around at the end?!? What? lol It'd not make too much sense if he was a Terminator, as it's his human side that was appealing to them. Weirdness. I liked how the story of Fisher's methods were being told in the context of Derek's lover being the victim, as if it were his creative mental impression of what she was saying... then switching to it being him once she pointed it out, in a far grungier setting. Why would that be though? If it never happened to him, why would it, when it was her, be in a more sterile environment, but as it turns to him it becomes "darker"... if he supposedly never had it happen? Curious... Oh boy, here comes the radiation poisoning finally. >__< -

I figure since Bionicle was brought in with a nice, shiny, chrome silver Hau... it'd be cool to bring Glatorian in with a nice, shiny, chrome gold Ignika. Wishful thinking? Oh yes, for masks are now made of mushier stuff. Chrome might not adhere right. It's just I'm REALLY sick of either shiny bright copper "gold" and burnt olive "gold". Bleh...

I do VERY few orders each year, yet I run into the same thing. With like 2 in 5 orders, it's almost guaranteed there's going to be: --broken part --missing part --wrong quantity --switcheroos with different color It really is frustrating, time consuming to correct. Then you get that seller every few orders that you have to ASK to leave feedback. Ugh.

Out of their over-excited imagination, bless their tiny little head. (Almost makes me want to go there and write something wacky...)

first his social life got into the way and got on lesser and lesser with another person tring to make him leave From what I understand, he was being imped in IMs, however blatantly. It went so far as the person used his email address to try and set up an IM account! Totally, totally, TOTALLY unacceptable behavior. That the person who did that was not banned at that point is beyond me. Think about it... using BZ's boards... to get a staffer's (or anyone's!) email address... then attempting to use that info to make an account somewhere online? What?!? lol Barring that the account name would probably again have been an obvious joke, it would also (pretty sure) mean that that email address could no longer be used by the member who owns it, should they want to make an account in the future. And if I'm wrong on that, it's still totally irrelevant. Right, bannable offense. With extreme and justified prejudice. I think where the shit hit the fan was that Omi may have dealt with it his own way instead of just letting the bastards hang themselves, followed by sending Rich after them to finish it. And that's unfortunate. Anyway, this topic asks a simple question. Do not deviate too far into BZ-bashing (well, be smart about it anyway) and DO NOT be bashing specific members there. Honestly, I don't care how a small, small, SMALL handful of you feel about Omi. I don't care if you got so far under his skin and or invaded his online data so badly as to make him bug out. That there's topics there still now in the blog section crapping on him, astounds me. He'd have been fine if 2 or 3 guys hadn't come along to push buttons. It's a fact that if I were still modding on BZ, I'd have maneuvered conversations in the staff forum in such a way (using slap-in-the-face truth, actually) so as to see people banned. The difference here is I'm telling you what I'll do right here to your face. For once, I'm going to hold a more heavy fist than is held on BZ. Yes. Poop on Omi here, I'll get defensive. It's your only warning. (Now why couldn't I just have said that instead writing a freaking book?) Now, back to the original topic of this topic's topic.

Agreed. We do not curse at each other. We also do not tell others to shut up. Of course, these rules can be broken when the context is BLATANTLY tongue-in-cheek, but... I shouldn't even have to point this out. >__< Same thing, kind of lol. Listen to your gut. It SHOULD tell you when too much is too much, if you listen to it. Luckily, it's not hit that level yet, just sayin'. Man... I hate saying it, because it's really dumb... but I think I've been put off from doing mocs lately, solely due to my anticipation for the Glatorian hands. I have junk laying around here half-done... all with no hands. It's infuriating it took them this long to make some. BUT, at least they're showing up now, 10 years later in the Technic line. Hopefully Lego won't stop at JUST these hands, and will do them in different (slightly better) designs. You know, like with 4 fingers and the ability to emulate a pose. (I HOPE they're not avoiding that to thwart the obvious outcome of kids making every moc on their shelf flip the bird, shocking their parents. That'd be a TERRIBLE reason not to make them fully poseable.) Some hate the look of them, but that's a lack of foresight. How someone can prefer ball sockets over a hand, however oddly shaped, is confounding to me. I do like that they put the thumb in the middle... that way they don't have to make 2 different hand molds, just 1.

YES, crystal. I'd like to be able to make an all-clear Bionicle figure before I die. Howzabout it, Lego? Clear ball joints? Chop chop.

I thought it was pretty amazing. But man, they're really screwed now. And I wouldn't be surprised if liquid chick somehow gets Cromartie's body before they do. Well yeah, that and the fact she probably has to melt herself if she fails lol. -
Here too. http://flickr.com/photos/29805279@N06/sets...57606878006949/ He is, duh! http://www.bzpower.com/forum/index.php?sho...p;#entry5654973 Thank goodness about Tuma. I hope you're right that those are just stickers. Parts are so much more useful (and make me want to buy multiples) when they're not flat-out dedicated to an image or asymmetrical.

How did you like the Clone Wars TV series?
JINZONINGEN73 replied to kill will's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Totally, totally. THAT is truly, undeniably cutting into their profits. Me, I just download them, immediately turn off the sharing function once it's complete, then watch it. If I like it, I'll burn it. Not like I'd be buying it anyway at this point in time. I CAN'T. lol In a better time, yeah, there are things I've downloaded that I will consider worthy of actually purchasing. Chances are my hard drive will crash (as it does once every year or two) and it'll all be lost anyway. Think about it too, is downloading current tv shows and keeping them on disks or your hard drive REALLY all that different from taping shows off tv during the VHS days? There are SOME things that are okay with me to share infinitely across the internet... stuff you're never going to see freaking ever again or in an official release... stuff like The Mighty Orbots... Beavis and Butthead episodes that were BEFORE they were censored on DVD... music from bands that were covertly recorded in tiny bars that never appeared on CD... newsclips from the mainstream media that, when controversial enough, wind up being "accidentally" lost or significantly altered... I like that websites broadcast the episodes themselves, but like was said, it's not all the episodes. They eventually expire, replaced with new ones. -

Set cache to full, cleared cache, turned off all other windows and torrent downloads... I got up to his leg. Which I already got up to once without doing all that. I'll wait until someone rips it.

Poopy. No matter how many times I reload it, it stops at different points. That's why I hate streaming flash. Yeah, it makes it harder for a consumer to yoink a company's video off the net, but it also makes it unplayable at times too for who knows how many thousands of people...
