  1. This... this topic. It's all... silly. Lol, closing. GRAPHICAL SUMMARY:
  2. Yeah, that struck me as sloppy too. Not like they're clouding the minds of the droids to not see saber light. Aaaaaaaah, ICE episode. Hope this means we can look forward to even more Hoth-like parts / sets from Lego. To each his own? Have fun with that. Oh, I'm stealing your tv set too. ... ... ...guess I'll take that wallet too. You're right, free stuff is AWESOME! ... ...and your computer.
  3. NOPE. Have a *BANana. I wonder if they made the heads so like the Glatorian dudes in a clever, intentional, cross-marketing kind of way or if it was accidental. In any case, it's good seeing Lego pop out a (good) Space Line that is more diverse looking than even some of those Star Wars minifigs. Those white and amber/orange Mars sets were anything but exciting to me. Hmm... no Skopio pics... ...either he wasn't there or he was sitting in a back room somewhere to be shown only as an exclusive story to sites that kiss Lego's butt like it releases oxygen. *(oops, it was just a plantain...)
  4. Bah. I just like to moderate the way I wish to be moderated. One can post with something next to zero fear. Pummelings don't start when someone fails at the internet... only when they start failing as human beings.
  5. These new set pics are cool and all, but I'm likin' the Space Police sets far more. I mean, I want a part or two here and there on the Bionicle stuff, but there's such SICK-AWESOME sets over in System right now. So until the wave with Mata Nui and the other red guy with ankle cuffs come out, looks like Space Police is sex.
  6. Lol... this topic's a fight a page. But it's not without it's entertainment value. For the moment.
  7. Not much else needs to be said beyond that arrow of common sense. Right! Back to the fun. The 2 ships shown so far in the first post are pretty decent to me. Unlike Mars Mission, the canopies are actually enclosed. I hate ANY space theme where a vessel has a canopy, yet it's still "open". Minifig parts... WANT. They're both pretty designs, to me. It might not jive very much with Classic Space, but so what? Just like the classic stuff was well done and created lifelong memories for many an AFoL, these ones certainly have their own charm. They're beefy enough to stand alone as the intended set as well as open to HEAVY customization... and that's a nice balance. The police vessel in particular looks like something more from the Star Wars line, as close as Lego dares shape it anyway. Just color it 2 bland colors, slap and Astromech head on the wing and it'd fit right in. From a parts-pack / mocer's standpoint... yeah, I like them there too. Can't wait to see if there's more wacky alien heads or limbs down the road.
  8. Why do I think this is going to end up with Mata Nui obtaining control of the Bara Magnan body and duking it out with the Teridax body in a big giant robot fight?
  9. Now that I see better pics, I like Baranus even more. Not as a set mind you, but as a cool parts pack. The (2!) dome heads are WANT, among other things.
  10. Looks almost like a green Zesk head or something on the Spikit.
  11. >__< Come on, come on. Name-calling. Geez. Personally, I'd love 20 Skrall. It'd be a moc from hell. Every single piece used.

  13. Your 2002 sounds better than mine was.
  14. I cut my thumb on a Bionicle Technic ball socket bar like that. I was pushing a ball in, then at the last second the things SNAPS, and my thumb slid forward onto the sharp protrusion. FUN! Really, Lego's quality is making me fear for them. The quality in the past 3 years has been steadily getting worse, but ALL the Bionicle sets I bought in 2008 had MANY parts that broke. See, not only did the quality of the plastic degrade, but they REDESIGNED the ball sockets into a BAD configuration! Reasons being: 1. They're thinner now. 2. The redesigned version doesn't let you put a 1x1 circular plate into the socket hole to make the connection's color look "solid"... which blows mightily for us mocers. Needless to say: Aaaaaand I even have more to do... but will wait awhile in fear of hitting whatever that magical "cut off" number I heard about is. Lego's said they're aware of the problem and that every year from this one forward will be better and better... but MAN it still blows that they remolded the functionality out of all the ball sockets. It's like they KNEW they were made of crappier plastic and tried to make them as single-use as possible.
  15. Sorry, my bad. I meant some of the vehicles. It might be a heavy-handed thing to say, I was just hoping they could do their best to avoid it... just one year. lol Bricklink'll get those parts eventually... after real builders take out just the roboty stuff and leave the Zamors behind. I don't even bother with Brickshelf anymore with such things. http://www.flickr.com/groups/818883@N25/pool/ all the way, baby. When someone finds new pics on Brickshelf, I immediately check Flickr to see if they're there first.
  16. On a positive note, you could make some kickass wings for a large moc.
  17. Looking at the new canisters better, I totally want them more. Not more or less than the current Winter guys, but equally. So much awesome. Other than the return of all the shitty silver, these things are great looking.
  18. I trust you ninja have saved all the deleted Brickshelf pics, yes? I spent all yesterday deliriously poopy and puking mah guts out. ::assumes all the new pics are the same ones on VBBN's Flickr:: ::is confused why people still host leaks on Brickshelf instead of Flickr::
  19. System or Technic, you must agree this is indeed a Bionicle moc. It's up to his discretion if he wants it here or elsewhere. As far as negative and positive comments, etc,... I guess you're referring to Pencoin? Yeah, he was banned for a number of things, not just the poopy conduct in this topic. As for the topic creator, he's taken the negative criticism from everyone in perfect stride, so I don't know where anyone's getting an idea that you can't say what you think about a moc. Keep it respectful and everyone goes home alive at the end of the day. Easy. (Geez people, way to create chaos where none exists.) Regarding the moc... well, admittedly, it's not "flashy". The base set is only 2 colors in total. Some of the texturing is interesting, but a lack in the diversity of the parts used hurts it. Granted, you might not HAVE many more parts, making use with that which you do have (the Statue of Liberty base), so it's completely understood where this moc came from and where you took it to... and that's not too bad. Stickers on Gresh are a bit, well, "rippy" lol but things do get complicated at that microscopic size. His sculpting clay weapon is my biggest gripe. Since it's clay, it can be made into a more accurate representation.
  20. Actually, I believe that's the same people lol, given the name and the extent of their Bricklink inventory. Well that was a nice trip down memory lane. Reminded me how bad 2005 blew, but also showed how kickass things are now in comparison to some of those darker years. What could have been more hideous than having the Matoran mature into these halfway decent sets, then get launched backwards into those AWFUL Metrutoran?!? Ugh. Nice auction though. If this was a year from now, I'd have done the buy it now just to make their day and watch people's jaws drop. But alas, now is not then.
  21. I wouldn't mind it if they halted production of new pieces one year so they could catch up releasing ALL these newer pieces we've been hit with in WAY more colors. They can't do it too long, for part of the excitement that comes with each wave for most people is "What new parts are there?" Money. LOTS OF IT. Yeah, that's pretty depressing actually. Cute how they faked us out into thinking they might have gotten smart and gone back to colors. Colors = mocs = people buying more sets. They're thinking too small.
  22. More suited to ther Mecha forum... moving now... THAT. That right there. THAT'S where Lego mecha fail. You can make the most kickass Transformers body, but emulating 95% of their characteristic faces is IMPOSSIBLE. Until Lego makes like a super-small kind of brick, or some kind of system to create heads (by swapping plates with say different eye section, nose section, mouth section...) then Transformers mocs are always going to be "unfortunate". That said, I don't dig the knee or elbow joints, but it's a really good-looking moc! There is no mistaking who it is and you got some shapes crucial to his G1 look just right. Pretty impressive, given the smaller scale.
  23. I like how Lego leaks a pretty normal-lookin' gold Ignika pic one day, then soon after leaks one more Glatorian-like. I dig the sidecar idea... they're on a flat land with great expanses to cross... to say nothing of sand messing up their joints. I mean, of COURSE they'd want vehicles to bypass walking!
  24. Forgive me for having the attention span of a flea, but where is the evidence of a transforming set? The treads on Skorpio's legs?
