::sends link to Flickr pool "Whipping out the Brick":: Lol, not really. Now what's this pic of Raanu now? Noone saved it? And you call yourselves ninja... Yah, I'll kill it on sight, too. I mean, I had Bionicle movies before anyone else did on BZ, but it would've been DAMN wrong to go beyond posting brief animated gifs and answering only the most tertiary of questions. Posting the book would've been like throwing the movies up on a torrent site. Pics snagged online? cool Music videos? sure. why not? BRIEF text from the book... iffy. Entire movies, entire book contents, NO. I won't get annoying if you merely say "you're finding it online", but don't be linking to torrents or megaupload or anything.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- SPOILER ALERT !
JINZONINGEN73 replied to SWMAN's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Oh, it did?!? I thought she had a clean bill of health at the end of the nuclear episode... then again, I was dead-assed tired when I watched it. Man, that was some brutality on the last one, what with Cameron doing what she did to her enemy lol. I'm glad it didn't get away to show up in more episodes like the others tend to do. I continue to be impressed with this show. The cast is really growing in number now. Amazing they can bring in 3 new characters in the same episode and not have things get all confusing with bad writing. ::goes in toy bins to dig out old John Connor figure on motorbike:: -
He looks like a kid's amateur art project is what he looks like. The joints are so annoyingly "toy" looking... just cornball hinges.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- SPOILER ALERT !
JINZONINGEN73 replied to SWMAN's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Was there an episode last week? Didn't see it on any download sites. I'm guessing that the red-haired liquid lady just wants to use a guy with FBI resources to be an extra eye out for Cameron, though there's sure to be more than one motive in using him specifically. ::wonders how Sarah will get cancer:: ...probably in the finale of the entire series, whenever that is... like some act of self-sacrifice that puts her somewhere dangerous and radiationy (like Cameron's power supply blowing up!) lol. -
I notice Tuma's balls look different from everyone else's. His has a band going around it, theirs are swirly.

Ew, where'd clearer pics come from? And anyone else but me NOT like that Mata Nui poster? It loos oldskool, but in a cornball way... like looking at a Marvel comic robot from the 70's kind of not cool.

Juno Pretty decent movie. A LOT better than I thought it would be. Reading the back of the box, it sounded like it'd be some wacky (not very credible) road trip type movie. It was far from it. The attitude of the characters was great.... you didn't have any of the obligatory unintelligent moron type characters that appear in nearly every show and movie. Likewise, there really were no "oh my god, they did something really stupid" type moments. Everyone was pretty much trustworthy in the flick, no dregs of humanity type shit going on to make you feel stupid for being part of the human race. No dramatic (corny) "fights" or yelling over who was responsible for her getting pregnant. Their approach to abortion was also realistic and not condescending to people on either side of the issue. Yeah, this was a pretty damn good movie. It's a keeper. I liked the unpolished, college radio type music in the soundtrack too. Synopsis: -16 year old chick gets pregnant. -decides to find a cool couple who need a kid of their own. -quickly finds one. -Juno's cool, over-the-top character makes the husband in that couple question why he can't be cool and over-the-top like her anymore. The rest of it is Juno's interaction with the couple and the others in her life. Waaaaatch iiiiiiiit. My only gripe is that when her water breaks, she yells "Thundercats are go!"... though I think it's dropping 2 cultural references with one stone... from Thunderbirds, "Thunderbirds are go!" and Thundercats, "Thundercats ho!". Should've stuck to just one or the other lol. -
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! THIS IS GREAT! The way I see it, it's like both Mata Nui and Ignika could be impersonating 2 DEAD Glatorians back on their homeworld. That'd be a freaking riot!

Saw the episode where they linked Cameron to the street light infrastructure... how'd she know Reese killed the Turk creator after doing that? Like from security cams or something? -
The color distribution on the prototype is cooler, making a mouth visor type dealie... but it's the shape that bothers me. The horns on the sides don't taper inwards now, the mask doesn't taper towards the chin, and the forehead looks less wide (maybe?). The production model is still usable of course, it just looks a little more kiddy somehow.

Hmm? ... ...oh my. Ew. No seriously, EW. EW EW EW. Way to turn something dynamic and awesome into Playskool.

Most of that footage was in that leaked "Closer to the truth" video a few pages back, wasn't it? Man... I bumped into this when your link brought me to youtube... I was red-faced with laughter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRToQXniH8g&NR=1

Short of a representative of theirs coming forward and admitting it, we will NEVER have proof. What we do have is either one of two things: A. --Lego does the leaks themselves. B. --Lego, one of the most successful toy companies ever... has such horrible security that all their products are seen months before they ever come out. As for this pic... well, all I know is that instead of thinking about all the broken, severely DEFECTIVE parts I've received in my recently bought Mistika sets, my attention has been drawn to leak after leak after leak. BAM BAM BAM, week after week, the spoilers just keep coming. Is there a valid connection? Probably.

I don't understand why there can't be TWO MataNui sets. You have this big guy who's just ASKING to be done all Collector's Edition in like System or System / Technic hybrid... as like a bigass finale set to Bionicle... http://flickr.com/photos/29805279@N06/2805509672/ And yeah, like Rho said, they could likely get away with charging 90 for something large and of sentimental value like that. But then he could also be the canister set with the Glatorians the next year. I mean hell, what could it hurt? Best of both worlds? As for that image on Lego's site... seems BZ's implying the pic's possibly going to be removed. It's not like it's an accident that popped up there, so why would they think it'll get taken down?

I think that's why stuff like Lord of the Rings was so popular in the day... the creation of a WHOLE different world, so detailed you had more locales to think about than you had digits to count them on your body. So many different types of characters, familiar and unfamiliar, that you practically needed to whip out a pen and paper or get lost. There's great profit to be made on rich, artificial realities.

World Economic Crisis - How will it affect our favourite toy?
JINZONINGEN73 replied to frogstudio's topic in Community
Yeah, it feels "irresponsible" to not jump in wherever opportunities arise. I can't remember who said it first, but it goes something like, "I don't mind a person calling me a conspiracy theorist, so long as they admit themselves to being an EXTREME COINCIDENCE theorist". You're right though, the dollar, though not as healthy, will recover. I think it was Ron Paul who said the bailout of the banks by the government is a TERRIBLE idea, and that things should just be left the heck alone so house and other prices go back down to a realistic price point... It's hard to begin a "recovery" on something when you don't even know what a "normal" price for an item is yet. Bailing out the same people who caused the mess in the first place is like sending firefighters holding gasoline tanks into a building that's still burning. -
According to George Lucas, while talking to a British interviewer during Revenge of the Sith premiere, "Americans don't seem to understand that the Star Wars movies are just a kid's franchise". And look where that all is.

World Economic Crisis - How will it affect our favourite toy?
JINZONINGEN73 replied to frogstudio's topic in Community
The world's run by certain corrupt banking families who have been doing "this" from back in Napoleon's time. Some slightly further. All these economic, environmental and so-called "terrorist" acts are, I believe, fully orchestrated. (Hey, there's some nice money to be had when you're funding both sides of a war!) These terrible events in recent human history seem to be premeditated well in advance. The interesting thing is, even with all the evil and corruption, Lego is still going to be on the shelves no matter what. Despite competitors, Lego is just too much of a staple child's toy to sink into oblivion. Should a couple nukes go off in a few places here and there, you can bet that there'll still be sets released that year, even if they are on par in complexity with those offered in 90's McDonalds Happy meals. (lol) But they'll be there. I am whole-heartedly hoping that our drains in our personal budgets in the darkness to come is due to us at the very worst buying food... and not more ammo to hold off our neighbors (both foreign AND domestic) at bay from taking that food. -
I know Greg is subject to what Lego will and will not let him say, but yeah, if there's a selling point of "OOOOOH BOY by golly this is gonna' be a big fight and WHO KNOWS what might happen!" ...You don't come out and say, "None of the Nuva die!" Even if Lego told him that knowledge was okay to give out, he really shouldn't have. What if every time you watched an action movie, you knew who was still standing at the end? That sucks. That alone doesn't make him a "bad" writer though. Just one that gave in to the pressure of bedwetting imps gnawing on his poor legs.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- SPOILER ALERT !

::still waiting for more eps. to finish dling:: I'd also not be surprised to find Cameron sent herself back, either against the will or without consent of anybody else. -
What the... now why would they go and do that? >__< Yeah, I think the people on BZ are more the kind of people who like that kind of stuff. I think they're far more "fan-ficcy" than Bionicle lovers on other websites, who are more set oriented. I just don't see how showing grainy but not the good pics or deleting a guy's fan art has ANYTHING to do with anything. In a way... it's kind of rude. "Here kid, here's the SHITTY pics, now don't say we never gave 'ya anything. Oh, and the topic on it's gonna' close real soon but just be glad we gave it to you in the first place. PS... NO getting excited and posting FAN ART!" Let's think a moment. What happens? What happens if people see the good pics alongside the bad? What. As for you guys talkin' sabotage, meh. Things like that only are funny when the sabotage lasts long enough for people to see it, which there it wouldn't. Only when TONS of people are doing the same thing at the same time would it be interesting. I'm telling you though, no one here is going to use this messageboard to orchestrate anything like that, or I'll have to actually act like a mod. (on yo' megablocks!)

Hah. They locked the topic. Everyone kept saying, "The missing set is TARDUK!". What does one expect? It's been like over a month now that even a good few of the BZers have been looking at these pics. Everyone's already familiar with the new sets and characters like they were in their hand. Silly. Silly silly. Silly silly SILLY silly. Is whatever exclusive deals they have going with Lego worth looking this silly? Is it?
