  1. Menstruation and blood is a fact of life, every month, for many. And come on... the blood was made of cute things. I like it. Or because it looks cool. Yes, those 4 or so posts of discussion made it IMPOSSIBLE to find Bionicle discussion. Over 18 site. Open to suggestions. It's the internet. I could in fact only be 15. Those "pics" of me? Maybe it was my older bro'. And you see how I post. Would it be that far-fetched to find I've always been younger than you?
  2. Well, it's "gross", but what personal "damage" are we talkin' here? Whenever I found cartoony naked people dad got from work being faxed around from office to office, hiding it from mom (lol) in his sock drawer, I giggled. It was "silly" and different. Then again, thanks to the internet, kids are worse freaking drama queen victims than EVER. Of course, I don't like seeing pics of a mildly warped nature in full view. Don't want a dude (kid OR adult) clicking on a topic that should have text but having these images pop up for all those around them to see. THEN it could be harmful, as someone beats their megablocks. How old are you? lol I saw an interesting, chunky-lined, urbanized anime art style depicting humor of that time of the month. If a person can't handle that, then they can't handle the statue of David. Don't get me wrong though, BZ is a (successful) experiment in "getting as many viewers as possible". That's done through the attempt at offending NO ONE... and as I said, the world's filled with drama queens. I mean hell, I've had the word "bimbo" modded out of a post there! It's a business model. We don't fit. Since it's proven successful for them, they don't NEED to change anything. And even with other, non-18 only sites... even if they're squeaky-clean, if BZ doesn't have some direct form of administrative control over it, then there's the potential for it to be a (truly) "unsafe" site. One day a site they're linking to could be "Happy Rainbow Fluffy Kindergarten Juice Time Lego Fanclub.com". The next day the site owner could have sold out and made Suspended and Gagged Furries in Unicorn Costumes.com.
  3. Hmmm... no? Lol, that'd be pretty foolish... and potentially dangerous. Like walking into the street of a third-world country wearing a sign, "I'm a foreigner no one will miss and probably have a lot of money on me."
  4. Case in point, these Berix pics here. Pretty clean stuff. Likewise, those Gresh pics you took in particular were indeed mighty.
  5. ::goes to review:: THAT... ...is one long review. ::CTRL+F:: ::JIN:: Ah, there I am! Hmm... the video at the start of that review... nothin'. I right clicked and did "save as", but got a message I NEVER saw on a download before, like, ever. Swear that site hates me if I exit the blog area...
  6. THIS. I like Eurobricks because there's no format for reviews (well, not a harsh one). Hell, hardly ANY words are needed in a review, as long as you can see all the new parts clearly. Set reviews on BZ are like reading a fanfic somewhat. Too long, occasional attempts at humor, ...geeky filler junk, at least for me. The pics are usually decent, but they're hosted on BZ... I like clicking on a Brickshelf gallery to get the zoomed pics all at once and escape the text. But hey, who cares really? Some kids dig Bionicle for reading the story, others SOLELY for the parts/sets. Neither review is "wrong". I think. Matter of taste. One thing is certain, most people aren't buying Lego sets to analyze the font used on the text of the box. >__< Man... Berix, like all the Glatorian sets are all cool... but those dark feet REALLY are throwing my eyes off.
  7. Don't like that the top of his mask is asymmetrical (UUUUUUUGH), but being black as well as on the top of the head, it can be worked around. Just having like orbed domes on the top would've been cooler, or at least just friction peg holes. His body shape is just corny... very not credible. I like it though. As parts, it's pretty damn cool. Good shield parts, good weapons (and TWO of them... that's a saving grace right there!) and the new angular armor. want want want
  8. Hold it up to a light 5 seconds, then cup it in your hands! I needs ta' know!
  9. I'm more of an arcade MAME kind of guy, myself. In fact, I'm about to play an old game called Zookeeper, perhaps washed down with a night of Truxton. Anyway, no moar console warz plz... the shit can get downright circular n go on for PAGES. And, you know, it just turns into this for 95% of the people wanting to read of Lego and Bionicle. Hell, rabidly discussing why you think Lego should have a Code Lyoko line is more on topic. Yeah, the ol' xmas WIPE OUT syndrome. I hope the Walmart here has the new junk when I go there tomorrow. I COULD order them online, but... I dunno'... I'm weird like that. Not getting my hopes up though. They got Mistika in, they had everyone else, but the Krika slot was eternally empty. The toy aisle chick even verified that they weren't selling out, they just never came lol.
  10. Well it is mildly confusing. Here on the 7th Doctor's site, he doesn't have the Christmas episode listed as being in season 4, but he does have episodes that obviously come after it... http://www.sylvestermccoy.com/newdoctorwho...hoseason04.html At the same time, on the season 5 page the Christmas episode is there, but there's specials still listed for the 4th season that haven't aired.... http://www.sylvestermccoy.com/newdoctorwho/ Oh I don't know lol. EDIT: Looking at this again, am I getting this right? There's only going to be an Easter and a Christmas special in 2009 and that's it?!? Wow. I mean, I like Torchwood and Sarah Jane, but DAMN.
  11. Ok, hold up there Mr. Bigotsworth... do we actually know this kid who's being referenced? I could be wrong, but I say this because like you know how new set leaks will come out, but ALL the Bionicle ones are messed up and grainy? Well, what if the leaked content is what Lego WANTS leaked at that moment... to like stall people seeing the comic content by at least a day or two? Anyway... Cannibalism The Aghoris distinguish themselves from other Hindu sects and priests by their alcoholic and cannibalistic rituals. The corpses, which may be either pulled from a river [including Ganges] or obtained from cremation grounds, are consumed raw as the Aghoris believe that what others consider as a "dead man" is, in fact, nothing but a natural matter devoid of the life force it once contained. Therefore, while for ordinary folks it may be called cannibalism, for them its just partaking of what is useless for the rest of the world. In fact, they claim to be scientists trying to discover how matter converts from one form to another. lol
  12. Same. Well, with the exveption of Kopaka's mask being asymmetrical make it wOrThLeSs for mocing. And that ugly, Darth Vadery Turaga mask... gyuuh.
  13. As far as classic cartoons go, I have to go with Dr. Scarab (Wilmer Sharp) from Bionic Six. One-liners and insults are muttered under his breath constantly. I get the feeling the writers let the voice actors ad-lib at times. He's constant, never quite managing to be good at all. At the same time, he does "rescue" his minions often, even if it's because he needs them. And when they double-cross him, he gives them odd forms of punishment akin to spanking a child. They really shouldn't be double-crossing him at all though... he took a bag lady and 4 other dregs of humanity, turning them into better-looking and slightly more youthful bionic powerhouses (except Klunk... he kind of messed up while working on him.) But yeah... I think it's just that he's funny really. Very imperfect as an evil mastermind... more like he's having fun running around being a complete bastard more than anything else. That prankster-like quality is verified by how often he uses holograms on himself and his minions to look like other people.
  14. I's surprised at that Mata Nui silhouette. Granted, the canister pic was shoddy, but the head certainly doesn't look all Ignikaey like this newer one does. Maybe we'll get a Ignika-like Ignika... or something? Also interesting is it seems that the lower leg is a regular old lower leg... but with an add-on ankle guard. Awesome.
  15. Can't help but notice the new Dooku sets have trans purple cones on the droids' force pike things. I thought Lego said ALL purple was gone for good? Hopefully this means they've reconsidered.
  16. Yeah, that first image you have there is the one I just watched, where Hartnell regenerates. I like the strange, melodious voices they had in that incarnation. It fit the way they look. That was an "interesting" episode... the first 3 parts were complete, but part 4 is a "lost" part. Some of it was all there, but most of it was snapshots taken like from advertisements of that time, along with audio that fans of old had taped off their tv sets lol. (I used to tape shows like Monty Python and Saturday Night Live that way, back before VCRs were in wide use). Thankfully, those old shows moved so slow that it didn't detract from watching it very much. This too was helped by the fact there were subtitles at the bottom describing whenever "action" was taking place. Hartnell's regeneration was in video though, mostly due to the fact the footage had been used in specials that were safe, even though the original episode had been damaged. I never got into Hartnell's run. I came on during Tom Baker, only seeing a few of Pertwee. But I think I'll probably want to see the rest of his episodes, watch the whole darn series from start to finish. We're talking YEARS of downloads lol. Saw the new Christmas episode... can't complain. It was painfully clear nearly from the beginning as to who the Next Doctor was, but it was funny watching him anyway. I don't quite get why the Cybermen needed a human to crown Cyberking. I mean, they came through a rift in the void created by the Dalek reality bomb's destabilizing effects... but they get here and want to recruit some chick to lead them? What? I must have missed something important. The Cyberking at it's peak was "cute", in a steampunk sort of way... but I didn't like that kind of stuff in the New Transformers movie and I'm not immensely liking it here. I do say it was far more interesting than the junk running around in Transformers though... more believable body construction / piston placements, etc...
  17. Lesbians. OMG, that's EXACTLY IT!
  18. Yeah, it was almost instantaneous, but not out of a lack of love... more because our questions we had were mostly answered within the first wave. Head configurations? Check. Launchers? Check. Story? Check. Sex? (lol) Check. New parts? Check, etc, etc... The only thing I personally had in anticipation was what Mats looked like, if he had a classic mask, and what kind of recolors of the new parts were made. The ankle cuffs (awesome.) were the only thing that wowed me. So yeah, they kick megablocks. We just know what language the sets are speaking already. One main question left... what DOES that seal say?
  19. What a dismal sight, going to the Lego aisle in the Walmart here. (The only place to buy Lego!) They had but 2 small Agents sets and a bunch of $50 castles. For Bionicle, like a few Ignika and a Mazeka. COMPLETE wipe-out. I've seen the place "sparse" before, but not quite so... obliterated. Wish there was a Kmart or Toys R Us around here.
  20. Wouldn't be surprised if it's just a bunch of different tales of all sorts of different characters each episode... like barely having the same guy in more than one episode, save for an episode or two with Yoda, Vader and Obi getting to cameo. I hope it's not centered in some way around Boba Fett. I mean hell, I loved his character design on the toy (with it's infamous rocket launcher description covered up by a sticker on the back of the package.) I loved him in Empire, sneaking around and mainly being badass while stormtroopers were mere cannon fodder. But Return of the Jedi kinda' killed him for me, as with many other characters and a chunk of the franchise...
  21. Lol. That reminds of a mocist from the old days called Toa Reincarnation. He submitted a pic for the original Takanuva set to a site that had him for sale. They accepted it blindly, for he had him in a distressed position holding his head, his vehicle half-built and parts all over. X D Yeah, you're not quite what I'd call ready for the rest of that pic. >__o lol
  22. What day does the newest episode play, Christmas Day, right? And Christmas Eve is the Children in Need special? (Oh geez, it aired on the 7th? I thought it was a christmas eve thing). Better start looking for a torrent of that. I don't think the Children in Need specials ever make it over here to the US. Downloaded some tv spots with scenes from the new episode... yeah, did look a lil' silly. Liked the Cybervisors lol... but watching them being pushed around like tin cans is, well, silly. : p Humorously enough, I watched the first part of William Hartnell's last episode, "The Tenth Planet". It's a "lost" episode (one of the ones the BBC destroyed and had to go to the fans and get it, I think). If you don't like the look of the Cybermen now, realize they've come a LOOOOOONG way... Lantern crotches... lol. Mummy heads. X D
  23. Depends on the company of course. Indeed. And some of the pics were sharp and close-up.
  24. So it's not just me then. Tried to get to BZ about an hour ago. White. Just tried again and got a white screen with this: It beats having a white screen, a half-loaded page, a "board error" screen, etc in that it actually says where something's going wrong. I've no idea what that means or if it helps any, but there it is.
  25. THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID … wait what Anyway iAgwee.
