Well wait, is the head breaking the continent apart where it's supposed to stop? I get a quick jump cut to the sky, looking like there's supposed to be more there, like him standing up.
-
Meh, it won't play for me. I can watch flash movies on any other site, but not bionicle.com. I see the hau, I see the pillars fall, I see the island crack and the head emerge... then it stops. Is my computer that junky, or is it something in the coding of it? Seriously, I can go on Newgrounds.com all day and never have a video crap out even once. It's like the BZ thing, where every other site on the internet works but that one.

. . . Mole. No idea what one that is. The one I linked to has a retrospective, followed by Mata Nui being a rock god from the sea, then IIIIT'S THE FIIIIIINAL COOOOUNTDOOOOOOWN WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAH!

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- SPOILER ALERT !
JINZONINGEN73 replied to SWMAN's topic in Culture & Multimedia
So the next one is episode 7, yes? Lol, I went searching for it online, not realizing stupid SPORTS shows bumped it off... but I did get a British "look inside" kind of interview video on the series. All I can say is I had NO idea that the liquid Terminator was the lead singer for Garbage. What the hell? lol Great stuff... -
This one? http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=64157

I THINK I know it's name, but I forget the spelling. Tracks (Traxx? Trax?) Nothing you can't find by going to http://www.TFU.INFO, i'm sure. Cool Transformer! I wish there was a... "smaller" format of Lego, as heads are where the limitations of Lego really blast through. You just can't get too much detail into them, what with common transformer heads usually being quite tiny in comparison to the bodies they're slapped on. Pfft. Every mecha mocer gets around to doing one, eventually... http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=83687 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=64157 (And the slightly large yet HORRENDOUS-looking one I did in 2002...) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=12372 Really, there are Transformer type mocs out there, but the hard part is not having them look like megablocks lol.

Well I'll be DAMNED. Found out who built that Lego tower for Liquidhead's daughter... ...it was none other than Bryce McGlone, "Cajun" on Lego messageboards! http://www.bzpower.com/forum/index.php?sho...0&start=160 That DOG! -
How did you like the Clone Wars TV series?
JINZONINGEN73 replied to kill will's topic in Culture & Multimedia
These days, EVERYTHING is made illegal so the government can declare power over you at a moment's notice. I figure it this way, ...if I could afford cable, I'd be watching it for free. But I can't, so... I'm watching it for free. lol They look pretty decent! I wouldn't be surprised to see a series or two some years from now. There's plenty to do, too... all that time between RotS and New Hope... the time between New Hope and Empire... the time between Empire and Jedi... beyond... -
Other than the 2 titans and apparent thing that "CORE" is the large canisters and there's 6 more to go, I'm not sure what the other abbreviations are for. I doubt they reflect the current sets... and I doubt SHP means "ship".

How did you like the Clone Wars TV series?

Same way this American with no cable tv connection does, by dling them as torrents. I just watched all 5 episodes today. Pretty neat stuff, I'm surprised it's this good. Swearing, self-sacrifice, gruesome death, enemies that ACTUALLY say they want people DEAD and not just "destroyed". And the stories are good too, for the most part. A little less megablocks-patting with the quotes from the movies that came before it would be nice though. Do I REALLY need to hear the same lines I did in the theaters? In a way, it's unfortunate that these are so good. That means I can't hate them. And I was kinda' hoping I could hate them because we know all this current coolness inevitably leads up to that awfully annoying, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Ick. -
Honestly, these guys look better without the balls in the launcher. It has a very energy weapon / 2-point stabbity-stab look to it as is. Very neat. The only thing that could REALLY make me go more kookoo for Cocoapuffs at this point is if we hear of mask packs coming back. I'd need a triple heart bypass, but I'd not complain. Can't wait to see what happens next. There's still some sets in store for 2009, yes? Here's that OLD list from August: IMPULSE 1/Atakus IMPULSE 2/Raanu IMPULSE 3/Tarduk IMPULSE 4/Berix IMPULSE 5/Metus IMPULSE 6/Zesk Bionicle HPP 4 Bionicle HPP 3 Bionicle SHP 1 Bionicle CORE 1/Skrall Bionicle CORE 2/Malum Bionicle CORE 3/Vastus Bionicle CORE 4/Tarix Bionicle CORE 5/Strakk Bionicle CORE 6/Vorox Bionicle SHP 3 Bionicle CORE 7/Stronius Bionicle CORE 8/Ackar Bionicle CORE 9/Gresh Bionicle CORE 10/Kiina Bionicle CORE 11/Gelu Bionicle CORE 12/MATA NUI Bionicle HPP 1/Fero & Skirmix Bionicle HPP 2/Tuma Bionicle MDP 2 Bionicle SHP 2 Bionicle MDP 1 Bionicle MDP1 Bionicle MDP2 I forget where we ended up with this. Some were actually the books, right?

Ew, yeah, I've seen it a million times, but it just kind of was "there". Kooky. I admit that the 2001 Toa had more complex bodies, but these guys make up for it in posability with knees and elbows. Like 2001, their masks are pretty damn nice n' oldskool too. I'm not going to compare them to Nuva, because those guys blew megablocks compared to the 2001 Mata, at least that's how I've always felt about them. And it must have to Lego as well, for we never saw those shitty, melted blobs of plastic napalm burning on their face ever again. EDIT: OH MY GOD, I just noticed something wonderful about all these sets! Not ONE of them has an asymmetrical mask! All their heads are going to be able to be used as armor! THANK YOU, THANK YOU LEGO! And that's sad, too. He was such a nice guy in "To Kill a Mockingbird". 0_0 <_<
-
All their balls look uniform now like Tuma's did in the earlier pics, gold spikes with a black stripe in the center instead of swirly. Sorry, I was too busy cleaning up after wetting myself to notice.

LOOKEE! His weapon glows! See the thing in the corner of the package?

Gresh looks more different every time I see him.

If you only knew how much techno I've heard in my life that's been ruined by dudes trying to "freestyle" over top of it. Freaky thing is, their voices always sound the same. One of the few times I've heard it done non-invasively was the Mortal Kombat cd by The Immortals. Yeah, he was much better before they showed the official product. Claws in different color. Better mask. And yeah, jungley and wild lookin'.
-
I listened to the Techno mix and was like, "Why are there 2 artists listed? There's no WAY it took two people to do this!". I pumped out nicer stuff messing around for 5 minutes on MTV Music Generator on my PC or eJay Clubworld on PS2.

Ew... I forgot about this set! My mom, for no apparent reason (???) got one and sent it to me. In fact, this might have been the FIRST Lego Star Wars set I got and the first new Lego set to touch my hands since I was 5. (Was WONDERING where the Biker Scout parts in my bins were from...) Man, I hate those "leaves". Too fragile.
-
One cool thing, which I have not the bricks, space or time to do, is create a derelict town, but the colors of the houses, street and trees ALL bleed over to black in one area, with some kind of all-black monster standing in the center of it. (A few all-black minifigs laying on the ground would be cool too, to say nothing of one having crawled out a few feet (studs) into the "correctly" colored part of town.
-
Luckily I had the willpower to post JUST that link, which was about as "hardcore" as placing one Lego minifig directly behind another.
-
Because it's hilarious! I think merely that. But those of us who remember the list posted a few months back already knew he was a 2009 canister set.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles -- SPOILER ALERT !
JINZONINGEN73 replied to SWMAN's topic in Culture & Multimedia
LIQUID LADY: She killed the girl's parents, presumably where the child was not present. She may have known who they were, in order to take over their business empire. (Though why wouldn't she mimic the husband instead?) One thing I'm wondering... when the newer Terminatoor was beaten into a pretzel, she melted her own brain. ...was that because Cameron had stopped her from getting to the psychiatrist, thereby letting him continue to live to work on the computer's developement? Then again, would it be she was sent there to protect him? I'm guessing she wasn't, and was in fact there to kill him, for he may have been known as a person who helped John Connor psychologically. I dunno', it's a funny thing. They saved his life, he continued helping John, but also made Skynet smarter for the future, creating a paradox that the pretzeled Terminator chick is improved. THIS... ...is entertainment. -
LOL, I'll have to look this up. I'm trying to make the most filthy Lego group ever on Flickr. I can't imagine anything more graphic than the Sidorak (Roodaka? I get those two confused) pics already there. ::googles "raka bionicle hentai":: lol http://bioniclehentai.ytmnd.com/ ::finds Rule 34 site:: Dude, I just saw the most AWESOME pics of Gorast and Nocturn, EVER.

I like Bionicle for it's parts. They add action figure-like mobility to even System creations. The story? Meh... it was cool in 2001. I like it mostly in it's capacity to draw in younger readers and make the line continue on. I do understand why System guys HATE it though. To a lot, the building appears about as creative as EVERYONE agrees Galidor was. They're wrong of course... both with Galidor and Bionicle, it's limited only by how you use them... but yeah, that DOES in fact require adding System most of the time to make something GOOD. But like with the story, the googoo-gaga baby-easy to build sets make "okay" action figures, which again means the line continues and parts that positively affect System will still be made where they might not have if Bionicle died off. ...I just wished more parts were available in many different colors. I miss those old, multi-colored mask packs...
